Days Later
"I wanted to stop by and check in. You're dad said you're getting released soon. I'm glad you're going to recover." Lucas said.
"Thanks. I really made a mess of things. I'm going to have to go back to the facility and who knows if i'll ever leave at this point."
"I appreciate you caring and coming by. I don't deserve it." Peyton replied.
"I don't give up on the people i love and care about."
"I just don't understand why Brooke doesn't get it." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"I'll see you later. When you can get visitors over there." Lucas announced.
"I'll be seeing you." Peyton said with a smile.
"I'll be seeing you." Lucas said. As he left her hospital room.

Lucas had given Brooke the time and space to cool down and get over everything. At least he thought so.
When he attempted to open the front door with his key.
The door wouldn't open. He then realized she changed the locks.
So he decided to settle in on the porch and wait for her.
When Brooke arrived back at the house.
His gaze was locked on her as she left the car.
"You are determined to hold on to this!"
"Throwing a tantrum like you're a child."
"Why are you making this situation so complicated and full of tension when there is no place for it.?" Lucas questioned.
Brooke let out a deep breath. And looked to her husband.
"Alaska has been sleeping in our room for the past couple of nights."
Between the tossing and turning. The nightmares."
"Her being afraid and jumpy. I've had my hands full."
"Landon and Langston were told you are busy at the office."
"Which is why you haven't been home."
"You aren't dressed for work which means you were elsewhere."
"I have to get the store." Brooke announced.
"Brooke just end the dramatics and let me come home." Lucas replied.
"I'm starting to wonder who's husband you are. Because the man i married and built this life wouldn't be acting like this."
"We went through so much to have Alaska."
"I feel alone in this marriage. Knowing what i know now."
"Its just been me and my kids trying to process and deal with everything Peyton has done." Brooke proclaimed.
"You told me to go and see how she is."
"You are pushing me to include her more in my life."
"She's my friend. I'm not going to abandon her especially now." Lucas said.
And with that. Brooke went inside the home to have breakfast and get ready for her work day.
