Season 1: Episode 8
After Brody's big reveal there had been a definite change in the school. Those that once tormented Gabe now either avoided him out of shame or had the guts to admit their wrongdoing and apologised to him. Rondi had been indefinitely suspended from school and while her chief minion Michelle and a very small percentage of students who refused to believe the truth tried to keep the rumours going and 'restore' things, they had no success, their own reputations ruined as a result. But the girls were not basking in their success, at this moment they were hanging out at Sarah's House, discussing something that troubled them greatly.
"Violet, aren't you being a little paranoid?" Sarah asked.
Violet shook her head. "No, I'm serious. Something isn't right about Clem's death, the way the police are acting, the strange things going on around it...something's wrong."
"I'm with Violet." Becca agreed. "It was a hit and run, so surely whoever did this left something behind, but they haven't found any trace of the guy?"
"He might not be in the system. This could be a first time." Brody interjected.
The girls were quiet for a moment, considering that.
Then Violet spoke up again.
"Sorry Brody but that doesn't sit right with me." She said. "It's too convenient. They haven't even figured out who called it in either."
Sarah bit her lip, considering this. "So...the investigation is stalled?"
"No it's like it's not even getting investigated at all." Violet shot back.
"So, what do want to do about it? What do you expect us to be able to do about it?" Brody queried.
Violet stopped at that and bit her lip, clearly not expecting the question.
Becca however realised her point. "Oh, you're right."
"Becca." Violet gasped.
"We're just four high school girls, Violet, with nowhere near the resources the police have." Sarah explained. "If the police can't, or if your theory is right, won't find out what happened, what chance do we have?"
Violet hated to admit it but she realised they were right and grudgingly let the matter drop, the four of them feeling the loss of, and missing Clem more than ever.

With a tired sigh, Lee Everett finished checking over the essays his students had sent him on his computer. He had stayed behind after school that day to work on them and make sure they were done.
But that wasn't all on his mind. 'I still can't wrap my head around it, how could this have happened, and to Clementine of all people...'
The loss of his god-daughter sat heavily on his heart. But he knew, as bad as things were for him, it would only be worse for Ed and Diana.
'I can't even begin to imagine how they're coping.' He reflected sadly. 'How do they even begin to go forward with their lives...'
Shaking his head he decided he'd done enough for the day and went to switch his computer off when he got an email notification which startled him.
His eyes narrowed in suspicion, the sender's name was just a string of numbers, but when he had the emailed scanned and checked by security software it showed up clean for viruses or anything like that. Now even more suspicious he gave in and opened it. The contents startled him.
"Mr. Everett." They read. "Do not take your usual route home from work today, someone dangerous is watching and will try to do you harm, take an alternate route, please, for your own good."
Lee shook his head, then became even more perplexed when he saw, at the bottom of the email, a string of stick figures, all in different poses and some holding flags.
'What the...this doesn't make any sense.' He thought before shaking his head. 'Ridiculous, just one of my students playing a prank no doubt.'
With that he shut off his computer, gathered his belongings and left the school, getting into his car and driving away.
Driving his usual route home, Lee focused on his driving while in the back of his mind, he reflected on the sorrow the whole town still felt at Clementine's passing.
'Everything is still so sombre, quiet...people from all over the town are still visiting her grave.' He thought sadly.
But he was soon jolted from his thoughts by the bright high beams of the car which had rapidly pulled up behind him.
"What the he-" Was all he managed to say before the car struck the back of his.
Lee had just enough time to remember the email and realise it was real, not a prank, before his car was struck again and run off the road, crashing into the guard rail. The attacking car then sped off while Lee, still in shock at his near death experience, tried to catch his breath. Sadly by the time he got out, the car was long gone, he couldn't get the number. Still breathing heavily he quickly called the police for help.
Standing by the roadside, talking to the police officer as others checked his car and the scene, Lee sighed.
"I'm sorry, I wish I could offer more information, but..."
The officer nodded however. "It's okay Mr. Everett. From what you were able to describe it's clear whoever did this was taking steps to avoid detection. That note about their high beams gives that away."
Lee nodded and briefly his mind flashed to the email, he wondered if he should mention it, but something, some nagging feeling told him not to say a word.
"Well, I admit, we don't have much to go on...but rest assured, we'll keep looking into things." The officer said at last. "We'll be in touch."
Lee nodded and was finally able to go on his way and find an alternative means of getting home.

Violet was nervous as she sat in her room with Minerva. Her mother was away for the night and Violet had invited the taller girl around to spend the night. She'd hoped that by spending the night together, their just beginning relationship would grow.
"So, um..." She began, feeling awkward instead.
They had spent most of the evening and night together and were now getting ready for bed, Violet in the usual tank-top and baggy shorts she slept in, Minerva in just her red lacy underwear.
Minerva smirked and winked at her. "Chill, Vi. It's not like we're gonna do anything right? I mean, unless you want to?"
She giggled after that, mostly at Violet's response being to impersonate a tomato.
"R-right." Violet stammered.
Still smiling Minerva climbed into bed, followed by Violet, after only a moment's hesitance on her part they embraced, their bodies pressed flush against each other.
"This was a good plan Violet, truly." Minerva said softly. "I'm really enjoying myself."
Violet smiled. "Me too."
With another smile, Minerva pulled Violet closer and they kissed. Just like earlier in the evening, Violet moaned into it and deepened it. Also just like earlier, despite certainly enjoying it, something disturbed Violet, some strange feeling that made feel something wasn't right about this.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
