eason 1: Episode 9

There were whispers around the school, mere days after the event, Lee did his best to ignore them but it seemed the entire school population knew about his car being run off the road. Indeed he could feel the concerned eyes of the students on him from the moment he entered his classroom, he shook his head, they hadn't even noticed the two new students who entered after him it seemed.

"Alright, everyone pay attention." He called out, trying to refocus them. "We have two new students joining us today, everyone, this is David Sanders and John Blossom…"

As he introduced them, Sarah and Becca looked up to take note of the boys and actually paused, eyes widening slightly, each towards one boy, both sixteen like everyone else in the class. Sarah took note of John Blossom, being rather tall at six foot two and somewhat pudgy but not overly fat, he also was fair skinned and had bright red hair and green eyes as well as a friendly smile as he greeted the class. Meanwhile David was also tall, although not quite as much with fair skin and a lanky build, medium length sandy blonde hair and green eyes and something of a bad boy vibe that Becca took note of.

"Okay boys, let's find you seats." Lee said after the introductions were over. "Ah, there we go, just there should be fine."

Becca and Sarah's eyes went even wider and they shared a significant look as the boys were directed to sit at the empty chairs next to them.

After class was over and the girls were walking to their next classes which they also shared with the boys, they got to talking.

"So, Sarah right?" John queried.

Sarah nodded. "Yeah. So, you guys just moved here from New Jersey?"

"That's right, me and my brother and sister, we're actually triplets, though I was born first." John explained. "My mom works at the hospital as a nurse."

Sarah's eyes widened. "Wow, really, that's, amazing. My dad works at the hospital too, he's one of the chief doctors there."

John smiled at that, taking interest. Meanwhile, Becca was asking David about his family and when he got here.

David shrugged. "Not really much to say except that I was actually born here, but we moved away when I was a kid before coming back just last week. It's just me and my dad, I...have no idea who my mom was."

"Oh, what...what happened to her?" Becca asked hesitantly.

"She...I don't know, only that she's still alive somewhere." David replied hesitantly before shaking his head. "Anyway, what about you guys?"

John nodded and the girls explained before, after the boys noticed their obviously sorrow, they also told the boys about Clementine's disappearance and death, they hesitated but asked the boys to meet up with them at lunch and they'd explain something else that was bothering them, along with their other friends. The boys agreed, surprised and curious as to what was going on.

So it was that John and David found Sarah and Becca at lunch and followed them to the girls usual table for lunch, it was then the girls noted that they weren't the only ones bringing company. Violet and Brody were there naturally and Minerva and Sophie had already joined them but it seemed Brody had invited Gabe too.

"Hey, there you are...huh, who the-?" Violet began upon seeing the boys.

The others all looked up too and Sarah and Becca introduced the boys and got the usual other introductions out the way.

It was then Sarah explained. "We were talking to them and well, Clem came up, we told them about her disappearance, the funeral and well…"

"We think it's only fair we all talk about it...I mean, we're already trusting others with this, right?" Becca finished, pointing out the twins and Gabe.

Brody nodded. "That's a fair point, alright then, sit down."

They all did so and Violet, although uneasy, seemed to accept things too, especially when Minerva reassured her with a smile and nod.

"Alright so...nobody else can know this, alright, just us." She said and the others nodded. "So, I'm convinced something is going on with Clem's death, so many things aren't right and the investigation...it's like there isn't one going on at all. There is something going on here and I just, don't know where to being."

Minerva bit her lip. "Violet, this is...kinda out there, isn't it. I mean, they said it was a hit and run and everything they've said and we've seen shows just that."

"Except why haven't they found anything about who was responsible, why are they not even looking?" Violet countered.

David nodded slowly. "So, you think there's a cover up?"

Violet nodded.

"We just want answers, especially given a few weird things that have been happening lately." Brody added.

Sophie then explained. "You probably heard the whispering but someone tried to run Mr. Everett off the road last night."

"Yeah and there has been weird messages we've been getting, not to mention there has been a strange car stalking us." Sarah added.

"Whoa, wait, seriously?" John gasped.

The others nodded and then after a pause, Gabe looked up.

"No way, it can't be…" He whispered.

"Gabe?" Brody queried.

Gabe shook his head. "I might have found something about that. In my portfolio, I'll have to bring it in when I can and show you."

That surprised the girls but they agreed and things went quiet until lunch finally ended before they headed for their classes, the four main girls were currently together.

As they walked Becca considered for a moment before speaking.

"So um, guys, about the memorial day for Clem?" She asked.

The others nodded with Brody speaking up. "Yeah, we're thinking about plans, does anyone have any ideas?"

"Well, there may be something, although we'd have to go shopping." Violet admitted. "We'll need to get the right outfits."

"What do you have in mind?" Sarah asked, confused.

The others also looked at her in confusion but Violet smiled lightly and explained, her explanation surprised all the girls, but then they all grinned.

"That's brilliant." Becca said.

The others agreed and soon they had set upon their plan for a memorial for Clem.
