Lucius slammed the great hall doors open using magic for a better effect and found his daughter sitting with the Weasley girl as soon as he entered, at the end of the Gryffindor table. All the Professors rose as he stood there fuming, he locked eyes with the headmaster, the old man clearly knew why he is there. Kids screamed at the sudden intrusion and each professor had risen with his or her wand drawn. He did not immediately go straight to him though. He leaned down to his daughter, seeing the tear streaks down her face and enquired what happened, she shook her head. Placing a comforting hand on her shoulder he then marched up to the top table as realisation dawned on Severus Snape's face, his dark eyes glanced at the old man and narrowed.
"To what do we owe the dramatic pleasure, Lucius?" He asked the dark wizard before him, his grey eyes flashing dangerously. Lucius raised an eyebrow the hall was now deathly silent you could hear a pin drop.
"Do you want me to reveal all the Order's dirty little secrets Dumbledore?" He sneered, his tone of voice filled with anger, as he leaned on his cane, still not giving a shit all their wands are raised at him. He is dressed in all black, from neck to toe, including his black leather gloves. The hall is so silent his voice echoed across the hall. The old man stared at him for a couple of minutes as he processed his words knowing how serious he is, and is clearly debating his next move.
"Why are you here, Mr Malfoy?" He felt white-hot anger flush through his system. He slammed his cane down on the wooden platform.
"You bloody well know why I'm here you old fool, playing dumb does not suit you. I know who my daughter is you, stupid idiot! She knows who she is, I want whatever spell you have on MY CHILD, reversed. Said child your precious fucking Order stole from her crib lying next to her twin brother when you and your pathetic Order stormed into my Manor!" He hissed. He could hear shocked gasps and whispers float around him, as people took his words in. Dumbledore's eyes widened he didn't think he would reveal as much as he has.
"Is it true Dumbledore?" Severus Snape asked, "I even asked for your help in locating my godchild, yet you've known all this time who she is, haven't you? Lucius speaks the truth doesn't he Dumbledore?" His old friend said through tight lips, as he moved around the table to stand in front of the old fool.
"Fine! But not here, bring her to my office." He said feeling like the blonde wizard might Avada him if he didn't cooperate with his request. Lucius shook his head.
"Severus's office will be just fine, I don't want my children anywhere near your personal space." Lucius turned on his foot in a fashion that could almost rival Professor Snape's dramatic bat-like departures. He stopped in front of his daughter and leaned in to whisper something in her ear. The whole hall watched as Hermione Granger slowly stood up after a moment's hesitation and accepted her father's arm in front of everyone.
"Draco?" Lucius said looking over his daughter's head, at his son who rose with the same confidence his father entered the hall in only less dramatic and angry.
"NO!" You could hear from behind them, but none of the Malfoy's bothered to turn around and look. Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall had now joined the Malfoy family and the group followed Severus down to his office.
Once inside his office, all hell broke loose, as Lucius stood in front of his children yelling at the headmaster.
"If anyone should be in Azkaban it should be you, you thieving old fool! At least the Dark Lord has never stolen children he hasn't sunk that low, Dumbledore," He said staring coldly at the wizard before him.
"He speaks the truth doesn't he Albus?" Minerva McGonagall asked her oldest friend and secret lover.
"Yes..." Lucius growled and his Veela came out of its shell as the old man confessed to stealing his baby unable to suppress the anger and hatred he had for the wizard.
"Everyone step back," Severus said raising his hands in surrender as the Veela turned on him.
"I'd reverse the spell if I was you Abus... it might calm him down seeing his child the way she is supposed to be."
Hermione stood frozen, as the blonde-winged creature turned in their direction, its eyes seemed to soften at the sight of them both and moved forwards moving its wings around them both and its arms around them holding them to him. As soon as someone approached it made a loud growl-scream somewhere in between as it protected its children from what it considered a threat.
"Lucius, I promise I won't let Dumbledore or Minerva do anything harm to Hermione or Draco. They are my godchildren and I vowed to protect them under oath when we had that ceremony fifteen years ago. Close your eyes and calm down they've never seen you as a Veela before. Look here is your wand, I will keep it safe until you transform back to you. I'm just going to get a robe for you to wear, for when you transform back.
Hermione noticed his arms and wings seemed to relax and she elbowed Draco to look at her as she hugged the Veela that is Lucius Malfoy. Draco hesitated at first but after hearing the purr he followed in his sister's footsteps. By the time Severus had come back Minerva and Dumbledore were looking anywhere but at the three reunited Malfoys. Lucius kissed Hermione and Draco's foreheads and breathed in his daughter's scent. Lucius reluctantly accepted the robe and placed it over his head then turned around to face the Headmaster.
"Why did you feel the need to steel my daughter? She had done nothing wrong to deserve to be taken from her twin and family the way she was... it destroyed Narcissa emotionally and killed me mentally having one of my children taken from my own home unable to find her. I felt suspicious of Hermione when I first met her in Flourish and Blotts then her name changed on our family tree..." he glanced at his daughter unsure of who knew. Hermione nodded giving him permission.
"To Hermione Krum and I put two and two together after she disappeared from the Weasleys at the World Cup. We cornered her on the platform before she got on the train hiding in one of the alcoves."
"I wasn't ready to see any of the Weasleys yet. I missed and still miss Viktor, wanting some time to clear my thoughts before I faced Harry, Ron and everyone which didn't go very well when they found me sitting with Draco, in an empty carriage. Only Ginny stayed and listened to a half-truth of the story. I'm aware you are aware of my marriage to Viktor Professor McGonagall. My husband isn't very pleased with Athena at the moment." She said.
"We had a little too much firewisky and muggle whisky when she came to stay one night. Like she does every year or I go to them, something we've always done since our Hogwarts days." She explained. Hermione felt surprised by this new little bit of information.
"Well?" Lucius demanded of the Headmaster.
"We believed saving one from the darkness that surrounds your family Mr Malfoy, would bring some light into the world. I can see that it has only darkened the darkness that surrounds your family:"
"My family is not dark Dumbledore," he sneered. "You have no idea what my family life is like behind closed doors, and you HAD no right to take my daughter, now remove whatever spell you have her under. I want my daughter back, she should be identical to Draco."
"Come forwards, Mrs Krum!" She noticed Dumbledore looked genuinely tired and old for the first time. She felt a rather nervous and automatically reached out for Lucius who held her hand tightly, as she stepped forwards only Viktor whispering calming support to her is what kept her moving towards Dumbledore and only went as far as Lucius' arm would allow. Dumbledore stepped forwards and raised his hands, silently using wandless magic, closing her eyes as she felt whatever you call it take over her body. Words couldn't even describe how she felt.
She felt nervous by the shocked reaction of Professors McGonagall and Snape, the her father turned her around slowly the look of love and pride in his eyes overwhelmed her and then he pulled her into his arms with Draco, turning them so his back is to everyone else. Lucius then stood back to look at his two children, then turned around and hissed at Dumbledore.
"You will never lay a finger on my children ever again, if one hair on either of their heads is harmed, I will take you to Azkaban myself." He threatened deadly serious.
"Understood," Dumbledore said tight-lipped.
Hermione noticed she had straight almost white-blonde hair like her family's that came down over her breasts. She picked up the ends of her hair and said.
"This is going to take a while to get used to," before fainting and Draco managed to catch his sister in time.
