Dance Dance Robert's Revolution

The ship carrying Queen Rhaella and Prince Viserys was slowly approaching Dragonstone when the Bright happened. Well that's what it was called afterwards by the people. In reality it was a titanic wall of pure, blinding white light. It lasted only a moment, but it altered the course of history forever.

For the Dragonstone that the Queen was approaching was no longer the one she expected. Instead, she was greeted by Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and her husband Prince Consort Daemon Targaryen, as well as their children and household guard. And, of course, their dragons. It seemed that the gods themselves intervened and transported Dragonstone into the future by more than a century.

When Rhaella and her people were interrogated and the truth of her mad husband came to light, Daemon was so insulted by the revelation that a barely-sane creature sat on the same throne his brother Viserys sat, that he mounted Caraxes and flew towards King's Landing with haste.

However, Dragonstone was not the only place brought from the past.

The skies above Storm's End raged with thunder so powerful that it was truly a sight to behold. The Tyrell forces besieging the castle suffered some minor losses, but it would be nothing compared to what happened next. For from the stormy clouds descended Aemond Targaryen on Vhagar. He was shaken, for in his own time he just witnessed as his dragon killed another.

Aemond landed in the courtyard of Storm's End and spoke with Lord Stannis Baratheon to learn of his current situation. Worried that his family might be in danger, or even gone entirely, he flew with utmost haste towards King's Landing.

In the capitol itself, things were not better. The Mad King Aerys was preparing his wildfire plot when suddenly two dragons appeared as if from nowhere above the Red Keep. One with scales shining like gold and the other pale-blue with silver markings. Their riders, Aegon and Helaena confused as to what is taking place.

Lastly, in Oldtown Daeron Targaryen and his dragon Tessarion suddenly found themselves in the skies above the Hightower. While on Driftmark, Princess Rhaenys Velaryon and her granddaugther Baela wondered why the castle looks so run-down. And in the North, Jacaerys Targaryen almost crashed into a tree on his dragon, but managed to land in front of Winterfell just fine.

"You are unfit to wear this crown," spoke the Rogue Prince to the Mad King, before slicing him in half.

In the wake of the Return of the Dance, an uneasy armistice between the surviving Blacks and Greens took place. Both factions only had their dragons and no armies, supporters or allies. The recorded histories of what-have-been of their lives only proved combat was not the way, at least at the moment. A full account of who returned was also made. It seemed that only people who were dragon riders had returned, with the exception of the island of Dragonstone which replaced its future counterpart entirely. Maesters theorize that this was due to the abundance of unclaimed dragons present on the island.

After making sure that his siblings Aegon and Helaena were safe, Prince Aemond flew back to Storm's End. Initially he had planned on helping the Tyrells break the siege of the castle, but Prince Daemon convinced him to side with the Baratheons instead. If historical records were to believed, the current Stags had dragon blood in them. With one taint of kinslaying on his mind already, Aemond decided more isn't needed.

And so it was that Vhagar rained fire upon the army of flowers. Their surrender was quick, Lord Mace Tyrell was soon found kneeling before Lord Stannis Baratheon. The Reachmen were forced to pay heavy reparations to Lord Stannis, including large amounts of food. They were then forced to mostly disarm and return to the Reach. Some refused those terms and were swiftly burned alive, none protested after that.

Back at King's Landing, King Aegon II and his Queen Helaena (titles only honorary, since none of their subjects existed anymore), made sure that Princess Elia and her children are in safe conditions. With the cruel fact that their own children remained in the past weighing heavily on her, Helaeana was allowed to spend time mourning in Elia's company. Ravens were sent to Dragonstone informing Queen Rhaenyra of current developments.

Prince Daemon still fully intended to crown his wife Rhaenyra, though. Even despite what he had learned from history books regarding her eventual fate. Aegon II intended to protest at first, but the realization that the Blacks had not only more dragons than he but more supporters cooled his nerves. Reading about his own future was also sobering to the young man. He found himself spending more time at Helaena's side.

The Kingsguard assigned to protect them were Barristan Selmy and Jaime Lannister, the latter whom warned Prince Daemon of the large caches of wildfire hidden throughout the city. Daemon was alarmed at once and took command of the Alchemist Guild and the Goldcloaks and forced them to begin safely removing the dangerous substance.

At Oldtown, Prince Daeron entered negotiations with the Hightowers whom he was most familiar with and shared blood with. He even allowed the Maesters of the Citadel study Tessarion. With ravens coming from all over the realm with the news of the Return of the Dance, Daeron decided only to send a message to Aegon and Helaena informing them of his survival. However, he decided to stay in Oldtown and avoid conflict, especially once he learned of his eventual fate.

Meanwhile, the armies of Tywin Lannister, Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon approached places in the realm changing rapidly before their very eyes...
