A/N:
I don't know if it was your kind and lovely and ever-patient words or if my previous muse decided to make a reappearance. No matter why, I got a burst of energy last night and actually wrote several chapters on this, so as a thank you for being the most amazing, supportive human beings ever, I'm giving you another update :D

Summary: Freaky Friday with a Twilight Twist. New Moon AU.
As much as Bella and Edward love each other, they can't possibly understand what the other's life is like.
On Bella's 18th birthday, instead of a paper cut, a switch is about to make Forks even weirder.
How will Bella cope with suddenly being a 104-year-old mind-reading vampire in love with her singer? And how will Edward cope with being a human in love with a vampire?

Chapter 72
"So let me see if I got this right," Rosalie said and everyone turned their attention onto her. "Bella made a wish on her birthday that led to you two switching lives for a day. You got to experience each other's 'hardships' et cetera, but once you learned to communicate your feelings you came back here and now you're the perfect couple. Is that it?"
Bella blinked slowly, turned her head to exchange a look with Edward, and then back at Rosalie. "In rough strokes and badly summarized, I guess. I'd argue and say it was a little more complicated than that. Either way, it shouldn't bother you that Edward and I are learning to be there for each other."
"What's bothering me is that the center of your issues has magically been resolved by the power of love," she spat out, huffed, and crossed her arms.
Edward clenched his jaw and prepared himself to protest and chew Rosalie out for her selfish short-sightedness, but before he got the opportunity, Bella took a hold of his hand to silently ask that she took this one. He sat back, and she relaxed her grip on his hand.
"You and I have our differences, Rosalie, but I think it would be better if we had that conversation between just the two of us." She met the gazes of the rest of the family. "Would you mind giving us some privacy?"
All of them started to move, and lastly, Edward stood up, placed a light kiss on the top of her head, and she reciprocated by kissing the back of his hand still holding hers until they parted and he disappeared through the front door.
When they were completely alone, Bella stood up from her seat and walked closer until she wasn't too far away from Rosalie. "I'm not even going to pretend I understand your feelings from a human perspective, but having spent time as the female equivalent of Edward, I do know your story and where you're coming from," she said and sank down in the arm rest of the chair Rosalie stood behind. "Your start to this life was horrible, and you have all of my sympathies. I know you were robbed of the life you dreamed of and the children you wanted, but that's not my story, and I don't have to justify my choices to you."
Rosalie continued to glare at her, but the expression wasn't as deep-set as before. It looked more as if she was actually listening and the glare was just habitual.
"Edward told me about that one tiny part of you that resented me because he wanted me and not you, but that's so inconsequential that I don't even see it as the main problem, and I doubt it's something you think about now, so let's forget that." Rosalie's glare miraculously softened and she looked at Bella with an expression she'd never seen on the gorgeous blonde before. "The fact that you're angry at me for not wanting the life you had set out for yourself isn't just unfair, it's also disrespectful toward Edward, the brother who has undoubtedly done more for you than anyone else."
A/N:
I don't usually enjoy writing Rosalie as the bitter, angry person she is in the saga, but since this is a canon AU, it sorta doesn't leave me much of a choice. It does present me with the wonderful opportunity of having Bella stand up for herself, her beliefs, and her choices against the one person she's been intimidated by throughout her relationship with Edward.
For things that have supposedly happened in the past, pre-Twilight, I'm using my own interpretations and origin stories as source material for those of you wondering :)
Hope you have a great Saturday.
Stay Awesome!
