A/N:
It wouldn't have been fair of me to leave you with just one half of Rose and Bella's conversation, and I feel I've left you hanging long enough as it is :)

On Bella's 18th birthday, instead of a paper cut, a switch is about to make Forks even weirder.
How will Bella cope with suddenly being a 104-year-old mind-reading vampire in love with her singer? And how will Edward cope with being a human in love with a vampire?

Chapter 73
Rosalie became guarded once more. "What are you talking about?"
"We both know what he did for you so you could get your justice on the men who stole your life. And we both know what he's done for you since then," Bella said without faltering. "Don't you think it's time you afford him a little bit of happiness? Not that your opinion of me will change my mind, but let's say for argument's sake that you successfully push me out of your family. What will that mean for Edward?"
"Okay, fine, I get it," Rosalie threw back. "I've been inconsiderate and selfish when voicing my opinions and concerns and that makes me a horrible person. Is that what you want to hear?" she asked, but didn't allow Bella the chance to respond. "Do you want me to kneel and apologize for my actions?"
Bella straightened out and shook her head vehemently. "No, of course I don't. I would never deprive you of feeling whatever you're feeling, and you can hate me all you want, but mine and Edward's relationship has nothing to do with you. I just wish I could help you understand that just because you didn't get what you wanted, it doesn't have to mean that you can't be happy for others when they get what they want."
With an intense expression of disbelief, Rosalie scoffed. "Even after having spent time as a vampire, you're still as naive as ever. You still have no idea what this life means."
"But I do, Rosalie," Bella said softly. "And I'm still choosing it."
Rosalie leaned close to Bella's ear. "Than you're even dumber than I thought," she hissed, and while it would have scared Bella before, it only saddened her now.
"I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. Maybe someday we can be less hostile toward each other."
"Don't hold your breath." Rosalie left and the second she exited the door, Edward entered through it, most likely having heard the end of the conversation.
"She'll come around eventually," he said and pulled Bella into a hug. "This little tantrum of hers was a bit fueled by jealousy that I got to experience humanity again, and she can't wrap her head around us being on the same path as before after all of this."
"Well, not the exact same path," she said and unabashedly allowed her hands to slide around his torso in a much more intimate manner than she'd dared before her birthday. "I'd say we're much further along now."
Edward smiled at her and they shared a short, sweet kiss. "That we are."
A/N:
Here's something I have for you to decide: do you want me to continue giving you a chapter daily, or go back to my previous updating schedule of 3x/week.
I think this short chapter format has really helped me shake things loose because I've already worked up a decent bank of upcoming chapters this weekend alone, and I want it to be up to you because you're the ones who had to wait when I was away!
So let me know, and,
Stay Awesome!
