Rhonda tugged on Arnold's suit collar as she pressed her lips onto his, and started a passionate kiss between the two. Arnold was wide-eyed at first, but he slowly closed his eyes as he soon kissed her back. The abrupt kiss reminded him of the awkward and horrible kiss he had with Helga before, but this kiss was different. Sure it was abrupt for him, but the way Rhonda kissed him, he felt more comfortable and it didn't feel like a desperate kiss.

After a long forty seconds, the two separated. They didn't say anything as they stared lovingly at one another.

Rhonda then kissed Arnold's cheek twice before she hugged him. Arnold blushed but he smiled as he hugged her back.

"Ready to walk home, now." Arnold soon asked. Rhonda only nodded happily.

Instead of just going hand in hand, they decided to link their arms together.

Soon enough, the two reached Rhonda's home. "Arnold, I can't thank you enough for taking me out on this date!"

"I think you already did." Arnold slightly smirked. Rhonda nervously laughed a little. "It was just a little thanks. A big thanks." She winked.

Arnold blushed. "I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Like always. A little something for you tonight." Rhonda leaned close to Arnold as she gave a slow and brief kiss for the night. "See you tomorrow…" Rhonda winked at Arnold "you charmer." She then headed inside and smiled at him.

Arnold only blushed while he had a goofy smile. He soon started to head home.

All in the meanwhile, Rhonda just got into her room. She picked up the rose from her bed and laid there as she held the rose close to her heart.

Arnold soon got home as he was ready to get some sleep. He came home to find grandpa and grandma arguing over how she got a horse in the backyard.

Arnold merely chuckled as he went upstairs.

Half Hour Later

Arnold was in his pajamas and already in bed as he looked into the nighttime sky. And he started to remember Rhonda.

All in the meanwhile, Rhonda was already in bed as she briefly looked at the nighttime sky, and remembered not only the kiss she shared with Arnold, she also remembered how adorable Arnold can be.

And coincidentally enough, they said their goodnights to each other at the same time.

The Next Morning

Arnold's alarm clock went off as he soon woke up. He wondered what day it was, and perfect for him it was

"Wednesday!" For some time now, Arnold and the gang have decided to run football one-on-ones since they didn't have enough kids to play a full game. Most of them always wore cleats so they wouldn't slip.

Arnold got out of bed and he soon started to get dressed, ready for another day with Rhonda.

He soon got downstairs and he found Grandpa drinking his coffee while reading the newspaper. "Morning Shortman!" Grandpa greeted him. "Morning Grandpa! Morning Grandma!"

"Morning Kimba! Want something to eat or you'll be on your way to school?"

"I'll be headed to school, I have something I wanna set up for later today." Arnold replied. "Alrighty then. We'll see you later, Kimba!"

"Later Grandpa! Bye Grandma!" Arnold waved to them at the door as he walked out.

"Heh, quite a bright young kid, isn't he, Pookie?" Grandpa started. "He'll always be Kimba to me."

Grandpa soon saw the horse still in the backyard. "Pookie, didn't I tell you to get that horse back where it came from?"

Arnold soon met up with Gerald. "Morning Arnold!" Gerald greeted. "Morning Gerald!" The two did their handshake. "You know what day it is?"

"I certainly do! Just so you know, I bet I can be a better defender than you." Arnold smirked. "Oh really? Well, you'll have to prove it since I ain't believin' nothing!"

"You ain't gettin' past me!"

"What? Boy, you can't even defend to save yo life!"

While the two were arguing and joking around, Rhonda soon snuck up behind Arnold while he was distracted.

"I bet I can catch the ball even with you taking up all my space!"

"Yeah right, as soon as you catch it, it slips out of your hands!"

Arnold then felt a pair of arms wrap around him as he felt someone's head rest on his shoulder. Arnold looked to see who it was.

"Morning Arnold." Rhonda then kissed Arnold's cheek. Arnold blushed furiously as he whispered. "Uh, you do realize we aren't alone?"

Rhonda immediately blushed as she let go of Arnold. Gerald smirked at the two. "If you want, I can give you guys some time alone." Gerald pointed away as he slowly walked away.

"If it's no trouble, please." Rhonda replied as she wrapped her arms around Arnold again. Gerald rolled his eyes while smirking. "Just don't be late to class since you two wanna have some time together." Gerald walked away

Rhonda merely rolled her eyes as she focused her attention on Arnold. "So, about last night…" She playfully had a finger on his cheek. "Well speaking of that, got any idea of what we could do today?"

"Mmmm, I was thinking maybe the movies. Just you, and me." She briefly giggled. "Any idea what time it'll start?"

"Seven thirty, why?"

"Don't you remember what day it is?" Arnold nervously laughed. "Oh! It's Wednesday, right?"

"Yup! And I'll be going against Gerald today." The two soon started walking to school.

"Never would I thought I'd see the day. You against Gerald? Well actually, didn't you two have a disagreement before?"

"Yeah, but that's way different." As Arnold was telling her all about the matchup, a certain blonde-haired girl was eavesdropping on them.

"So, football head is going against Geraldo huh? Well not if I can help it! Let's see just how 'tough' he thinks himself!" She cackled as she took a different way to school.

Soon, the two arrived at school and met up with Nadine outside. "Hey, you tw-" She then saw something she'd probably never see.

"Hey, Nadine! Uh, Nadine?"

"Are your arms linked together?"

Arnold and Rhonda hadn't even noticed their arms were linked together. "Uh… yeah. And why do you ask?"

Nadine wanted to ask, but played it off. "Nevermind. Come on, we're gonna be late for class!"

The three soon went inside as they headed to class.

Around Midday

It was just now recess, and most of the gang huddled up to discuss for the one-on-ones later.

"Alright you guys, how do we feel for later today?"

As they discussed it, Arnold soon laid out the usual rules. "Alright, first things first, NO hard hits. We aren't playing with gear obviously, that means no hits below the legs or head." They all looked at Helga. She only snorted. As Arnold continued to set the rules straight, Helga didn't bother to listen as she was gonna play her way and justify it as "part of the game".

After they all got done going over the rules, they all got to their usual stuff, Arnold and Rhonda sat together as they discussed their movie date later tonight.

"Arnold, I don't know how to say this but, are we gonna have our movie tonight despite the one-on-ones later today?" She hung her head a little. "Oh Rhonda, there's nothing to worry about! I'll be fine, I promise you. Pinky promise?"

Rhonda had a small smile. "Pinky promise." They linked their pinkies together to solidify Arnold's promise.

"Hey, I want to ask about last night actually…" Rhonda started. "What's on your mind?"

"About our… kiss in the park. Is it your very first kiss you had?"

"Honestly, it is. And you?"

Rhonda breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh thank goodness! I thought you already had your first kiss. So that means we both had our first kiss together."

"And you know what? I don't mind."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah, because in all honesty… I may have liked it?"

Rhonda blushed at first but then smiled. "So did I Arnold, so did I." She playfully had her hand on his chin.

"Hey Arnold, could you help me out with something real quick?" Rhonda asked. "Anything, what's up?"

"I've been wanting to paint my nails a different color, but I'm not sure what color I should pick. I was wondering whether you have any suggestions."

Arnold started thinking. "Hmm… How about midnight blue?"

"Hmm. I don't think I've ever painted them midnight blue. I think I can make that work, after all, I make anything work like you can in your fashion sense."

Arnold only smiled. "But anyhow, thanks for the suggestion!" Rhonda gave Arnold a tight hug. Arnold only smiled as he hugged her back.

Since nobody was looking, Rhonda decided to sneak a quick kiss on Arnold's cheek.

That does it for this chapter! Trust me when I say this... this story will definitely be lots of fun! See you in the next one!
