Triplets Nicole, Lindsey, and Virginia Bowman, commonly known as Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny, were born to a husband-and-wife team of traveling performers in Los Angeles, California on January 18, 1972. Possessing an affinity for sleight-of-hand tricks from the time they could crawl, the trio's parents slowly began incorporating them into their act. Due to them constantly being on the road, the three girls were home-schooled, and they forged a tight bond to cope with the stresses of performing.
Fame smiled upon Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny for the first time when they were only five years old. Collectively, they soon became known as The Magical Trio, or simply NLG. They performed at community festivals, state and county fairs, family-themed restaurants and children's birthday parties. Two months of the year, usually May and September, were reserved for vacation, and the three girls spent those two months brushing up on their karaoke skills.
During the 80s, the Magical Trio went on international tours, but they secretly longed to be like any other teenage girls, decorating their rooms with posters, meeting boys and going to the prom. Unfortunately, there was rarely any time, as they were constantly rehearsing, being interviewed, or performing. And they would never get the chance for a normal life, either. On December 4, 1988, Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny were involved in an accident during a performance in London, England, dying en route to the hospital. They were just 16 years old.
On the upside, Nikki, Lindsey, and Ginny were finally free of a hectic work schedule. They could live their un-lives on their own terms, so that was exactly what they did. Throughout the 90s and 2000s, they made mischief all across Europe, Asia and the western United States, learning new magic tricks along the way. In the 2010s, you could find them entertaining kids, teens and adults alike at Circus-Circus in Las Vegas, Nevada. And that was where they met Hellen Gravely, where she was drawn in by the girls' penchant for mischief-making and invited them to her hotel.
In 2018, the girls packed their bags and arrived at the Last Resort, where Hellen situated them on the 11th floor, the Twisted Suites. One year later, she handed them an elevator button and warned that a certain man in green wanted to get his hands on it. Their job was to use their magic skills to play keep-away, a challenge they excitedly accepted.
When Luigi arrived at the Twisted Suites, joined by Gooigi and Polterpup, Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny came out with the proverbial guns blazing, greeting him with every last magic trick in their arsenal. This culminated in them scrambling the suite's rooms to catch Luigi off guard. By the time he caught up to them, he was winded, bruised and had undergone several outfit changes.
The final showdown had the triplets firing playing cards and bombs at Luigi as they ducked inside of their hats. But Luigi used the Burst function on his Poltergust to knock down the hats and expose their ponytails. After capturing one of the sisters, the battle turned into a shell game, in which two hats hid the remaining two sisters and the third hid a bomb. At this point, the lights flickered, briefly discombobulating Luigi. But Gooigi and Polterpup assisted in any way they could, resulting in Luigi clinching the victory. Aside from some bruises, papercuts and minor burns, the man in green was still standing.
Once Hellen and King Boo were defeated, Nikki, Lindsey and Ginny made peace with Luigi and helped the other ghosts rebuild the hotel. When it opened, the sisters hosted a magic-themed dinner show, which incorporated tricks of illusion and hypnosis into their repertoire. This show still runs today, and the flexible schedule allows the girls to be normal teens for once, gossiping, trying on makeup, reading teen magazines and having fun with the karaoke machine.
