A/N - Time for Wave!
Team seven reported at the mission hall where they met with Iruka Umino and Hiruzen Sarutobi. Anko was smirking with her excited smile while Shino remained neutral, Ino remained determined, and Naruto was resting his eyes while leaning against the wall.
"Good morning, Anko and Team Seven." Hiruzen greeted with a smile.
"Good morning, Lord Hokage." Team seven minus Naruto said.
"I think we are ready for our first mission." Anko said with a smirk that was filled with pride.
"Your first mission? Many of the other teams have already taken many missions." Iruka said.
"Mind your own business. Now, we'll be taking our mission." Anko said as she turned to face the Hokage.
"Okay, here is a D rank." Iruka said but was stopped when Hiruzen placed his hand out.
"Iruka, Anko's team specializes in Infiltration and Assassination. I doubt a D rank mission will be adequate to test their skills. I have a C rank mission that might prove to be ideal." Hiruzen said.
"Thank you, Lord Hokage. However, I need to speak with you and Iruka in your office." Anko said.
The three of them proceeded to Hiruzen's office while Ino and Shino looked confused. They were shocked when Naruto walked past them and informed them they would be needed.
Standing in front of the Hokage, Anko stood at attention. "Anko, please report." Hiruzen said with a slight smirk.
"Yes, Lord Hokage. Genin Shino Aburame. Skilled in the use of insects and long range battle. Recently, he has gained access to the fire release element and has shown the ability to produce a fire jutsu." Anko said.
Hiruzen gave a nod. "Where would you place him?" The aged Hokage asked.
"With his critical thinking and non-biased views. I personally believe he is low chunin." Anko said.
"I see. Okay, next." Hiruzen said.
"Genin Ino Yamanaka. Skilled in the knowledge of flowers and poisons. She also has began learning her family's jutsu. She has also learned about her fire release and is showing that her chakra reserves have been increased." Anko said once more in her professional voice.
"Okay. Where would you say she is at?" The Hokage asked.
"I would say she is low to mid genin. However, with the training from both myself and Naruto, she will reach high genin, low chunin by the time of the chunin exams." Anko declared.
Hiruzen gave a smile as he nodded. "Good, now. What about Naruto?" Hiruzen asked.
This has everyone in the room's attention except for the bored Naruto. Iruka was piercing his gaze at the young blond.
"Genin Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze. He is skilled in Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Kenjutsu, and Fuinjutsu. He is able to fight in long, mid, and short range. He has access to the Swift Release Kekkei Genkai along with having a high affinity for wind and lightning. Naruto has shown great leadership along with taking the stand to assist his teammates and help them. He is an excellent team player and has chakra reserves that could rival you and the three sannin at once." Anko said.
Everyone's eyes opened with the exception of the Hokage who was aware of Naruto. "I see. Naruto seems to be quite the prodigy. Where would you place him?" Hiruzen asked.
"Honestly, he is probably high jonin if not low kage." Anko declared as Ino, Iruka, and Shino looked at the blond with shock.
"Okay. Team Seven. You will be given an A rank escort mission to guard Gato back to the Land of Waves. You will most likely encounter a high jonin level shinobi. Your objective is to protect Tazuna, the famous bridge builder and remain in Wave until the bridge is complete." Hiruzen said.
"Yes, Lord Hokage." Everyone, including the now interested Naruto.
"Lord Hokage, I don't believe they are ready for an A rank. Even if they have Anko, they aren't ready." Iruka said.
"Iruka, aside from the fact they have a Konoha and kage level shinobi their team, this will provide an excellent experience. I believe in our shinobi." The aged Hokage said with a bright smile.
Iruka remained silent and lowered his head in defeat. "Yes, Lord Hokage." Iruka said.
"Now, we have something serious to discuss. Iruka, please escort Shino and Ino back to the mission hall while I speak with Naruto and Anko." The Hokage said in a stern tone.
The chunin nodded and he brought his former students out to the mission hall while they waited for the Hokage to dismiss them.
"Alright, Anko and Naruto. I'm giving you two an S rank Assassination mission. Your job will be to eliminate Garo and end his tyranny against wave. This will also open up possible relations for the village." Hiruzen said.
Naruto, now getting serious, he gave a nod. "Yes, Lord Hokage. However, we may come back with two shinobi that will provide excellent support for our village." Naruto said as he thought about Zabuza and Haku.
The Hokage gave a nod and dismissed both members of Team Seven and handed Anko both scrolls. The two entered the mission hall where they were introduced to the client.
Entering the room, an older man with a towel around his neck and a brown shirt was glaring at the squad. He had a bottle of liquor in his hands as his eyes were scanning the room.
"What the hell is this? I've got a purple whore, a blond princess, a weirdo that wears shades inside, and." Tazuna said as he and many of the others in the room felt the killing intent from Naruto.
"My apologies, Tazuna. However, if you dare disrespect my team again, you won't have to worry about Gato. I'll eliminate you where you stand." The man gave a quick nod.
"Team Seven, you will leave tomorrow morning at seven." Hiruzen said and the five of them left the mission hall.
"Alright, you two were probably planning to back a bag for a month. I'm going to take care of that. I want you two to come to the Namikaze compound in one hours. Tazuna, you will be coming as well. This way, we can leave together." Naruto said.
Namikaze Compound
Naruto, Anko, and Tazuna arrived at the compound. As the blond went through everything, he realized that he needed to clear one room which gave him a slight problem.
"Anko! Please come here." Naruto called out and his sensei playfully skipped to him.
"What is it?" Anko asked with a curious look.
"Um, well, you see. I only have three rooms are ready. I would need about two days to get the others rooms set. We might need to bunk together." Naruto said as a blush ram across his face.
This didn't go unnoticed by the snake mistress. "Awe, does Naruto want his sensei to sleep with him?" Anko teased.
Naruto sighed. "You're impossible." Naruto said as he proceeded to create a seal on Anko's room.
"What are you doing?" Anko asked.
"Once we return, you will have your room back. However, I doubt you want any of your person objects to be fooled with. So I'm simply sealing them away." Naruto explained.
It wasn't long before a knock on the door was heard. Naruto excused himself from Anko and Tazuna as he greeted both Ino and Shino.
"Hello, I'm glad you two came." Naruto said before he noticed Shibi and Inoichi standing behind their children. "Hello, Shibi, Inoichi." Naruto said.
"Hello, Naruto. We understand that the Hokage is sendigg by you guys on a mission. Then we also learned our children were meant to come spend the night. We would like to know why, exactly." Inoichi said.
Naruto nodded and asked them to follow him. The four ninja followed the blond to the kitchen table where he had two scrolls laid out.
"I planned on teaching them on how to use storage scrolls. This will lighten the load. I've got supplies and everything they would need if they forgot anything. As a ninja, being able to pack for any occasion along with doing it effectively is important in the shinobi world." Naruto explained.
"Kid is just like his father." Inoichi silently thought.
"Now, Ino and Shino. You two will be taking the rooms down the hall next to mine. Tazuna, since you are the client, you room will be directly across from mine. You guys are more than welcome to explore the house. However, please do not go downstairs. If you wish to check out the library or yard, that's fine." Naruto said.
"Why can't we go downstairs?" Ino asked while raising an eyebrow.
"Your compounds each have personal areas, right? It's the same for me." Naruto said.
Shibi gave a nod. "Young Namikaze is correct. He is not wrong for wanting to keep his clan secrets hidden." Shibi said.
"Would you two like to join us for dinner?" Naruto asked the two clan heads who decided to join.
Once dinner was over, Inoichi and Shibi nodded farewell to their children and Naruto. The blond then informed both Ino and Shino that they were free to do what they wished. Naruto proceeded downstairs where he was currently working on a secret project of his.
Anko was in the backyard, she was watering the plants. This was a small hobby she found herself doing with Naruto. As she was watering the plant, she noticed that Ino and Shino were standing behind her.
"Sensei, we were wondering something." Shino said.
Anko raised an eyebrow. "What is it?" Anko asked.
"It was Naruto. He was acting strange this evening. Do you know what is going on? This would be ideal for to us to know so we are aware and could possibly provide emotional support for our teammate." Shino said.
Anko looked at them. She knew exactly why Naruto was feeling that way. "Don't worry about it. He isn't used to having this much people around him." Anko said as she returned her focus on the garden.
Naruto was inside his study as tears were running down his face. "Mom... Dad... I met Inoichi and Shibi. Just as you two said, they are great people. I have their kids on my squad. I actually have friends and teammates that don't see me as a monster." Naruto said to the photo of his parents while his mother was pregnant with him.
Naruto put away his photo inside his arm and proceeded to go to his room where he planned on taking a shower and getting ready for bed. He walked into his room after a nod from Shino.
When he entered his room, he was caught off guard by the sleeping body of Anko with just lanties and her fish netted black shirt. Naruto sighed before taking his shirt off and climbing on his side of the bed. As he closed his eyes, Naruto's face had a smile. This was something he never experienced before and for the first time, Naruto was truly happy.
