A/N - Soul Land of Wave is finished. I want to throw Haku in as a way of catching people off guard. The ship will be Naruto and Anko. Remember, he is 16 and she is 24. So Iguess itisn't that bad
Naruto, Shino, Ino, Anko, Inoichi, and Shibi stood before Hiruzen Sarutobi as they turned in their report.
"This is excellent. Not only was Gato eliminated, but Kirigakure has been freed and will be an alliance that we could greatly benefit from. You have all done well." Hiruzen said with a smile of pride.
"Thank you, Lord Hokage." Everyone said together.
"Ino and Shino. As you should know, you both will be paid for not only an A rank mission, but you will receive an S rank pay for the war. You two are dismissed." Hiruzen said.
"Thank you, Lord Hokage." The two genin said together as they left the room.
Naruto looked at his Hokage with a blank face. Hiruzen could see the pain in his eyes and knew of why. "Naruto, are you alright?" Hiruzen asked.
Naruto gave a nod. "Yes, Lord Hokage." Naruto said in a professional tone.
"Okay. I want you to know the chunin exams will be taking place in three months. Now, it has been brought to my attention that your teammates want to be trained by you. I've spoken with the clan heads and the jonin sensei. They have agreed to have you train the genin for the chunin exams coming up." Hiruzen said.
"I need a clear report on each person. I also want the report Guy's team. Weather they have been a genin for a year or not, I want to test them." Naruto said.
"That's fine. We also have another problem." Hiruzen with his smile turning into a frown.
"What is it?" Naruto asked.
"The clan heads believe it's unfair that you are being allowed to take the exam. They said you had one of two options. Either don't take the exam, or enter the exam going solo." Hiruzen said.
Naruto looked at him and silently cursed the council. "I guess it makes sense. But damn, I guess they don't want their precious Sasuke to be shown up." Naruto thought. "That's fine, who will my substitute be and who will be my sensei?" Naruto asked.
"Iv decided to have Kakashi take over and become your sensei. Unless you want either Jiraiya or Tsunade." The aged Hokage said.
"Kakashi will be fine. I take it the council believes Anko will favor me?" Naruto asked while smirking.
The Hokage nodded. "Yes, it seems the intimate relationship you two share is something they won't look past." Hiruzen said.
Naruto let out a laughter. "Yeah, when I become Hokage again, I'm definitely going to make some changes." Naruto said before he exited the office by going out the window.
"Anko. I'm worried about Naruto." Hiruzen said once he was sure that Naruto was gone.
"I agree. To tell you the truth, his relationship with Haku went worse than it did before from what he told me." Anko said.
"I understand. Tell me, how do you feel about Naruto?" The Hokage asked the purple haired woman.
"Huh? Well, we happened to have came to this world together and have spent way more time together than we ever did before." Anko said with a blush on her face.
This made Hiruzen smirk. He then told her that weather Naruto believes it or not, he is attached to her. "You can relate to Naruro better than anyone else. He trusts you. Truthfully, he trusts you more than he trusts his own self." Hiruzen said.
The two continued talking and then the chunin exams was brought up. Anko took a blood oath not to tell her team or Naruto about it. "I'm pretty sure he remembers. Mind you, Orochimaru will be making an appearance." Anko said.
"That's right. Well, make sure you two don't get yourself killed." The Hokage said.
Anko let out a chuckle which confused the Hokage. "Lord Hokage, Naruto pretty much soloed the war. I doubt Orochimaru will know what hits him. But I do need a favor." Anko asked.
"What is it?" The old man asked as he was beginning to sweat.
"Give Naruto some more A ranks and maybe another S rank or two. One of Orochimaru's spies will reveal information about Naruto. Trust me, the Uchiha will go insane. Now, do you remember what Naruto told you awhile back?" Anko asked.
"He wishes to fight Sasuke and Gaara in the finals?" Hiruzen asked in confirmation.
"Actually, on the preliminary, put Naruto and Sasuke in the final match. He will see everyone, run his mouth, make himself look like a big shot. Not to mention, his ego will be heavily raised. Naruto will not only defeat him with ease, but he will destroy the curse mark like he did to me. By doing this, Sasuke will become humble and his desire for power won't be influenced." Anko said.
The Hokage sighed. "I don't like medaling with this stuff. However, if it's to stop Orochimaru. Then I have no choice. Alright, have the genin report to the training field tomorrow morning for Naruto's first lesson." Hiruzen said with a smirk.
"Yes, Lord Hokage." Anko said before leaving the office out the window.
"I swear, those two are more alike than anything I've ever seen." Hiruzen said while smiling.
Ramen Shop
Naruto was sitting down and enjoying himself a bowl of Miso ramen. As he was eating, a familiar presence appeared behind him.
"Long time no see, Godfather." Naruto said without looking away.
"Yeah. Mind if I join?" The man known as Naruto's godfather asked.
"Go ahead, Lord Jiraiya." Naruto said in a cold tone.
"The old man told me everything. If what he said is true, then you understand why I did what I had to do." Joraiya said.
"It was stupid. Had you told me and allowed me to train under you and everyone else. I'd of been able to prevent what happened in the past." Naruto explained.
"Well, do you want me to train you?" The road sage asked.
Naruto chuckled. "There is only one thing you can teach me." Naruto said.
"What's that?" Jiraiya asked.
"How to get over my fear of women." Naruto said in a low tone that showed he was embarrassed.
Jiraiya let out a chuckle. "You can solo a war and take on powerful shinobi, but you are afraid of women?" Jiriaya asked in a joking tone.
"I'm serious." Naruto said.
"Okay, I'm sorry. Well, getting over women is easy. In fact, Kakashi had the same problem." Jiraiya said.
"Really?" Naruto asked with a curious eyebrow being raised.
"Yes, follow me if you wish to learn the art of women!" Jiraiya declared until he was hit in the back of the head.
Naruto looked over and chuckled at the culprit. It was his godmother, Tsunade. She had taken a break from the hospital and decided to visit her little Gaki.
"Hey, grandma. How's it going?" Naruto asked.
"It was going great until I heard this big oaf trying to corrupt my Godson." Tsunade said while giving Jiraiya a glare.
"Actually, you might be the one to help me out the most." Naruto said
"No way! It's my duty as your godfather to handle this matter!" Jiraiya declared.
"No! I trust Tsunade to help me with my problem that I'm having with Anko!" Naruto shouted before he silently covered his mouth.
"What problem do you have with me?" Asked the woman in question.
Turning red like a cherry, Naruto threw his kunai. "Hiraishin Release - Flying Thunder God, Second Step - The Yellow Flash!" Naruto declared and he vanished in an orange flash.
Anko looked at the two sannin with confused looks. "That damn Gaki! He knows he doesn't need to say that every time." Joraiya said with annoyance.
The two sannin were preparing to leave until Anko stopped them. "What problem is Naruto having with me?" Anko asked while crossing her arms.
"Well, Tsunade! This is your department, right? See you two later!" Jiraiya said before he left in a shun shin, leaving an annoyed Tsunade who was receiving a serious look from Anko.
Sighing in defeat, Tsunade decided to bring Anko to her office so they could have a talk over lunch. The snake woman nodded and followed the legendary medic.
With Naruto
"I'm such an idiot!" Naruto shouted as he landed a Rasengan into a tree that caused a massive explosion
"Well, you certain have kept up your training." Said a man with white hair who was leaning against a tree while reading a certain orange book that's hated by most of the female population.
"Kakashi, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked.
"I'm here to help you out. You want training for the exams right?" Kakashi asked his former student.
"Yeah, I was hoping you could do two things for me." Naruto said while holding two fingers up.
"What are they?" Kakashi asked.
"Teach Sasuke the Chidori. He will no doubt use it in the preliminary round of the chunin exams on me. Not only will this wake the civilian council up, but if we can further damage his pride, he will most likely give up his arrogant attitude." Naruto said.
"I see. Do you mind telling me how you know you two will be fighting each other?" Kakashi asked in a half serious tone.
Naruto sighed. "I'm so tired of repeating myself. Maybe the author of this story can put it in the notes at the top of the page." Naruto said as he broke the fourth dimension.
Kakashi gave a single eye smile. "I've got time. Let's here it." the masked ninja said.
Naruto revealed everything about his and Anko's past life and how he will be making changes. However, things had been playing out different from the changes he made.
"Well, you are definitely still the number one most unpredictable ninja I've ever met." Kakashi said with a chuckle.
Naruto gave a nod. "So, as you see. Im not just seen green genin. I was actually hoping you could teach me my father's Taijutsu style." Naruto said.
Kakashi went wide eye. "You want to learn the Hummingbird Taijutsu style?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes. I plan on recreating it. However, I need to learn it first." Naruto said.
"To tell you the truth, not even your mother or master Jiraiya knew of it. It focused primarily on his natural speed and seals. He would place resistance seals on his foe and it would appear liked he was using the Hiraishin. Many though he placed the Hiraishin seal on them. However, it seems your Swift Release has that aspect down." Kakashi explained.
"I see. Well, do you think tomorrow morning you could come to the training ground while I teach the other genin?" Naruto asked.
Kakashi raised his only visible eyebrow. "Why do you want me to come?" He asked with curiosity.
"Truthfully, you are like a father to me. I don't know, it would just make me feel better and less nervous." Naruto admitted.
Kakashi ruffled his hair. "Of course I'll show up. What time?" Kakashi asked.
"Four in the morning." Naruto said and once Kakashi nodded, the two parted ways.
Tsunade's office
"So you see. Naruto has attachment issues." Tsunade said as she drank some of her sake.
"It does make sense. But what about Haku? He couldn't of liked us both could he?" Anko asked.
"Tell me, how has Naruto been acting? Like with Ino, Tsunami, and any other female he has come in contact with?" Tsunade asked.
"It's been strictly professional. But, with me, it's like he's himself." Anko declared.
"Call me a guessing woman, but I believe his thing with Haku was a shock. Look at it like this. She was the first person his age to accept him. She influenced his way of a shinobi and even sacrificed herself for him. If you ask me, she was probably aware of his feelings for you." The blond said.
"Then why?" Anko asked as she rubbed her forehead.
"It's simple. She wanted him to experience life with someone his age, give him comfort. She probably planned on dying anyway. This not only brought Naruto's emotions out, but she probably figured you would be the only person Naruto had close to his heart." Tsunade explained as she stood up.
"I've got to get back to work. Just trust me, give it some time, let his embarrassment go away. He will soon be in the right frame of mind. I mean, who knows. He may just be exactly what you're looking for." Tsunade said with a wink.
Anko sighed. "Damn it, Naruto. Why do you have to live by your title of the number one unpredictable ninja?" Anko asked herself as she left the hospital.
Unknown Location
"Are you ready?" Asked an unknown voice with a sinister tone to it.
"Yes, Lord Orochimaru. I've received the information on all the applicants. Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara of the Desert. Those two will be quite the interesting subjects." Said a white haired man with glasses.
"Kabuto, keep your eyes open for anyone that might make for a good experiment." Orochimaru ordered.
"Yes, Lord Orochimaru." Said the man as they both let out an evil chuckle.
"Oh, Sarutobi sensei. This time, I will make you pay for the mistake of not killing me when you had the chance." Said the snake sannin.
