A/N: Here's the start of the Mutant Outbreak arc.

In a battlefield in New Orleans in 1815, the remains of a Civil War battle lay on the ground, including a couple of cannons, a flag and a wrecked cart.

Bishop: For too long, our world, our history, has been influenced by extra-terrestrial threats.

A soldier walks along the battlefield, stepping into a puddle as he did. He moans as he approaches a few bodies, before a bright light shines over him.

"Huh?" he mutters, his hat falling off.

I know this all too well.

He looks up and sees a UFO above him.

"No!" he gasps, as he gets sucked up towards it. "AHH!"

He gets sucked into the spaceship.

He soon finds himself strapped to a dissection table. He gasps and panics as he looks around.

"AH!" he gasps, as a door opens.

A few grey aliens' step into the lab.

My purpose has always been clear: Defend against the threat. Rebuild humanity to resist invasion.

One alien grabs a probe device and moves it towards the soldier.

It hasn't always been easy.

"AGHHH!" the soldier screams, turning away.

There are tough choices that need to be made.

The alien puts the probe on the soldier.

Later, on the battlefield, Medics tend to wounded soldiers, before one spots the earlier one. He turns to the other Medic while pointing at the soldier, then they both run towards him as he walks over a hill.

Someone has to stop this alien plague.

Both Medics grab the solider, then help him along as he looks at the sky, flinching angrily.

It was a vow I made long ago.

In the present day, Bishop - who was the soldier - stands in a lab, with a grey alien lying on a dissection table, while holding a probe.

And I intend to keep it.

He begins to probe the alien, as the E.P.F symbol appears on a device above him.

Outside a government restricted base surrounded by fences, an iguana opened its eyes and looked around. It then crawled past a 'Warning' sign towards the base, as a bird screeched in the sky.

Inside, Bishop and Stockman were both inside a lab, standing on opposite ends of a dissection table.

"You're a work of art, Agent Bishop." Stockman admitted. "A work of unrivalled scientific genius."

They were both looking at a cloned body of Bishop, which was strapped to devices.

"My genius." Stockman remarked.

"Well done, Dr. Stockman." Bishop commented.

"Yes, I know." Stockman said.

"AH!" Bishop grunted.

He grimaced as his skin started to crawl.

"And none too soon, by the look of it." Stockman noted. "You're nearing the end stage."

One of his tentacle arms began to type on a panel.

"Your current body's breakdown rate is increasing exponentially." Stockman explained, as a table rose up behind Bishop.

They both stared at it, before Bishop began to strip from his suit.

"A flaw I've eliminated in your new body of course." Stockman assured, as Bishop took off his tie. "Not only that, but I've increased your strength, speed and longevity as well."

Bishop ripped his shirt off as his body grimaced again, his skin crawling like a slug was underneath it, showing Stockman a bunch of black cricles on his back.

"This may not be your first clone body, but it will certainly be your best." Stockman assured.

"Let's hope so, Dr. Stockman." Bishop said, turning slightly.

He turned back and walked towards the table, then sat on the end of it, as Stockman approached him.

"If this transfer's successful, then we'll be one step closer..." Bishop said, as Stockman attached the machine leads to his head. "...to creating a race of super soldiers impervious to alien attack."

Stockman took Bishop's glasses off his face, then he walked off as Bishop's body grimaced again.

"And you're one step closer to a new body of your own." Bishop said.

"Sounds good to me." Stockman said. "Now, here we go."

Bishop lay down on the table.

"And by the way, this will hurt." Stockman warned.

Stockman activated the machine, then a bright light came from the overhead mine device above Bishop and his clone body.

"AH! Ah! AGHHH!" Bishop grunted, as his body grimaced.

The skin melted down to his skeleton, which then melted as well into a blue puddle, as energy shot through the wire on the table towards the device. It then went down the other wire and into the clone body, which lit up brightly. Stockman grinned widely, before the light vanished, and then the clone's eyes opened, with Bishop's mind inside it.

Meanwhile, in the city, as a cat meowed, the Turtles were all in an alley together. As Donnie, Cath and Mikey all searched a dumpster bin for stuff for the new lair, making a noise as they did, Leo, Raph and Elisa all kept their eyes open for Foot Ninjas. Leo stood on one end of the alley, with Elisa on the other, while Raph stood on a fire escape.

"Hey, Don, make a little more noise why don't ya?" Raph joked, turning to the dumpster. "I don't think they can hear ya in Jersey."

Donnie and Cath both lifted their heads up from the dumpster.

"Do you wanna get in here and find me a salvageable transmitter?" Donnie asked, pointing at it. "Please, be my guest."

"Well, can you at least be quieter?" Elisa asked. "You want the whole city to hear us?"

"Hey, you try being quiet while doing this?" Donnie frowned.

"Yeah, it's not exactly easy, Elisa." Cath assured.

"Oh, someone's cranky." Raph scoffed.

"Cranky? Do you know how much work we put into the old lair?" Donnie asked.

Mikey rose up from the dumpster and shook his head.

"I know how you feel, guys." he said. "I lost my entire comic book collection."

"How do you think I feel?" Cath asked. "I lost most of my medical books and supplies. It could take me years before I replace them all."

"Yeah, and comic books, Mikey?" Donnie questioned. "I have specimens, schematics, all my notes. All the theories April and I were working on."

"Shh! Disappear!" Leo hissed, looking up, as he heard' something.

They all hid themselves, as a bunch of Foot Ninjas jumped over the alley from one rooftop to another. Three of them then ran off, while one stopped on the edge and turned around. He looked down at the alley, but saw no sign of any of the Turtles, so he then turned and ran off along the roof.

In the alley, Donnie opened the dumpster lid as he stood up, followed by Cath and Mikey, as they'd hidden in it.

"Ugh!" Mikey said disgusted, wiping some dirt off him. "Next time, I'll take lookout duty."

Raph came out of the shadows from the fire escape, then looked down at the others, as Elisa came out of the shadows and approached the dumpster.

"Great. More of Karai's Foot Ninja." he said sarcastically.

He jumped off the fire escape, then landed near his younger siblings.

"We should be out hunting them, not the other way around." he said.

Leo came towards them all.

"We'll handle Karai, Raph, but on our terms, not hers." he said, touching Raph's shoulder.

The three younger Turtles all jumped out of the dumpster.

"We'll handle whatever comes our way." Leo said.

"Yeah, and she'll pay for destroying our home soon enough." Elisa assured, punching her fist.

Leo turned as he heard a noise in the street.

"Company's coming." he said. "Let's keep moving."

They all jumped onto the fire escape, then onto the rooftop, just as a truck pulled up in the street, right outside the alley. The doors opened up, and two city utility workmen got out.

"I'm telling you, I've been hearing things." one said, who was called Carl. "It ain't safe."

They both closed the doors of the truck, then the other man - who was called Todd - laughed as he walked around the truck.

"Go ahead, laugh?" Carl said sarcastically.

"You big baby, are you serious?" Todd asked, as they approached the back of the truck, which was near a manhole cover.

"I'm just saying, the night shift creeps me out." Carl said.

Todd opened up the back of the truck.

"Harry was out the other night. He said he saw something." Carl explained.

"I'll bet he did." Todd scoffed, disbelievingly.

Carl opened the other back door, as they began to go over their equipment.

"Harry would say he saw a giant crocodile, or one of them giant Turtles down there if it'd get him the night off." Todd said, holding a flashlight.

Carl put down two street cones while holding a crowbar.

"I'm not making this up." he said.

He pulled the cover off the manhole with the crowbar.

"There's all kinds of weird stuff floating around." he said nervously. "There's tings down there, man."

"You watch too many monster movies." Todd said. "Don't worry about it. I'll go."

He approached the manhole.

"Chicken. Buc, buc, buc!" he said, chuckling as he began to climb down the ladder.

He laughed as he grabbed a cable Carl was to use to help pull him up.

A little later, he near a wire, which was saw had been cut up with his flashlight.

"Aw, man, dang rats are at it again." he sighed.

He turned to the entrance, while unknown to him, a creature was crawling along the ceiling in the shadows behind him.

"Carl, get down here and bring your splicing kit." he called. "We're gonna be here all night."

(Topside)

Carl turned to the manhole.

"Wha?" Todd gasped. "NOO!"

A hissing noise made Carl move closer to the manhole nervously with his kit.

"AHHHH!" Todd screamed.

Carl gasped and dropped his kit.

"Todd?" he gasped.

The cable got pulled on from in the sewer, extending it completely, before all of it got pulled inside.

"AGHHHH!" Todd cried.

Carl stood over the manhole, wondering what happened to Todd.

"Todd?" he said.

A loud screeching noise came from inside the sewer.

Later, down in the sewers, the Turtles all climbed down into a tunnel.

"Man, this really stinks on ice!" Mikey complained, kicking a can away.

Donnie and the girls looked at him, as Leo jumped down the ladder.

"I miss my room. I had it just right, all feng shui'd and everything." Mikey sighed sadly.

Raph jumped down the ladder as Leo approached Mikey, who kicked the can again, as they all walked down the tunnel.

"I miss my stuff." Mikey sighed. "I miss my video games. I miss my blankee."

He kicked the can again, before Leo ran towards him.

"Don't worry, Mikey. The new lair will be great." Leo assured, touching his shoulder. "Central Park, turtle pond; change is good."

"Oh, is that official 'Ancient One wisdom'?" Raph inquired, holding his hands up, flapping the fingers.

"Well, we've done it before." Cath reasoned.

"Yeah, due to Stockman's Mousers biting and trashing our first home." Elisa recalled.

"Fair enough." Raph said.

Donnie then stopped, getting everyone's attention.

"Don, you okay?" Cath asked.

"Yeah, but I need to make one more stop." Donnie said. "See what our favourite junkyard has to offer."

They all walked down the tunnel, Mikey kicking the can into the sewer water, down into another tunnel entrance. In that tunnel, a large creature with a bunch of tentacles moved down it, then wrapped the can around one, which it then lifted up before eating it.

Back at the base, Bishop clutched the fists of his new body, while Stockman stared at a screen, showing the results.

"Simply amazing, Dr." Bishop remarked. "I feel like a new man."

"You should, because you quite literary are." Stockman explained, turning to him. "Your unique genetic structure made it stunning easy to transfer your consciousness. There are no signs of rejection."

He turned and pointed at the screen, then turned back to Bishop.

"Now, as we've agreed, I can finally begin construction on my own body." he said.

Bishop began to get dressed, when a man came towards them both.

"Dr. Stockman, there's been another report from New York." he explained.

"Uh, um, uh..." Stockman said nervously, turning from Bishop to him. "Maybe now isn't the best time."

"Tell me Dr., what does he mean by 'another report'?" Bishop asked, zipping up his suit.

"Yes, well, while you were, how shall we say, under the weather? Minor reports started coming in from New York. I didn't want to bother you with-" Stockman explained.

"Minor reports?" Bishop questioned. "Show me?"

A little later, Stockman pressed a button on a panel with one of his tentacle arms, then a screen showed a fisherman with a large monstrous fish, which Bishop saw while sitting in a chair.

"This was caught off a sewer runoff drain near the lower East side." he began. "A photo was sent to the media. They're currently investigating possible toxic waste disposal in the area."

He pressed another button on the panel, this time with his normal hand, bringing up another image. This one had a monstrous creature, that was part wolf/rat/turtle.

"Chinatown. An insurance investigator took the picture and posted it on a website." Stockman explained, approaching the screen, while turning around. "Look at the eyes?"

He pointed at the eyes on the picture, and Bishop saw they were red.

"Dr., do you have a theory on this?" Bishop asked.

"There could be any number of explanations, really." Stockman said, touching his head.

"Give me your favourite." Bishop said coldly.

"Well..." Stockman began, as he approached Bishop. "...when you staged your alien invasion of New York, brilliantly done might I add, the genetically modified alien clones encountered more vigorous resistance than planned."

He stopped behind Bishop, then pressed a button on the panel with a tentacle arm. The screen began showing a recording of the Turtles battling some of Bishop's aliens in the alley.

Leo held one back with his swords, while it touched his forearms, while Donnie sent a whack at another with his Bo twice, but missed both times as it moved away.

"The genetic accelerant I used to stabilize..."

Raph and Elisa both tried to slash one each with their Sais/Kamas, but missed as they dodged.

"...and increase the speed of mutation on the clones..."

Cath tried to whack one with her right Tonfa, but missed as it dodged, while Mikey kicked another's chest.

"...was more potent than I thought." Stockman explained.

Mikey whacked the alien three times with his Nunchucks, causing it to inflate and blow up, spreading its blue residue all over.

"After the clean-up..." Stockman continued.

The screen changed, showing a street.

A man walked off as blue residue went down into the sewers.

"...remnant genetic material made its way into the sewers and based on the evidence, came into contact with animal life."

A rat ran along a pipe, before some of the blue residue hit it.

The screen showed the wolf/rat/turtle monster again.

"The alien DNA, combined with the accelerant that I made -" Stockman began, before looking at Bishop. "That you asked me to make - is reacting to whatever host creature it encounters."

Bishop got up and walked towards the screen.

"Mutating it, spreading like a virus." Stockman went on, approaching him. "It... It was impossible to anticipate."

"Dr., my life's work is to defend humanity from extra-terrestrial threat, and now you're telling me I've unleashed this...this plague." Bishop frowned, turning to Stockman. "This is unacceptable, Dr. This cannot happen. This outbreak must be neutralized before it spreads, before anyone realizes its true nature and tracks it back to my work."

He walked towards the screen and stared at it.

"Let me know how that goes." Stockman said. "I'll be working on my, uh, new body."

"Your entire focus is now on containing and eliminating this outbreak." Bishop said sharply. "Then, and only then, will your new body be forthcoming."

Stockman looked shocked.

"Pack your equipment. You're going to New York." Bishop said.

Stockman flinched and held his hands up.

Back in New York, the Turtles were now back in the city, Mikey complaining about the sleeping arrangements of new lair, as Donnie and Cath climbed out of a tunnel tube.

"I'm just saying, I don't think we should be so hasty about the room assignments." Mikey said, getting out.

Donnie reached into his bag and pulled out a flashlight, as Leo and Elisa got out of the tunnel tube. Donnie turned on the flashlight, as Raph came out of the tunnel tube, holding onto the top of it.

"Cause you got the smallest one." Raph smirked, dropping down.

"Some people don't like too much room." Mikey said. "Come on, Leo, trade with me. How much space do you really need to meditate and be boring?"

The three eldest Turtles turned to each other, as Cath turned around to him.

"Mikey, can you just be happy with your own room?" she asked.

"No. Cath, come on?" Mikey asked. "Why can't you and Donnie switch."

"Mikey, Don and I need more space than you do." Cath explained. "Me for my medical supplies, and Donnie for his equipment."

"Oh, man! Elisa, what about you?" Mikey asked.

"Hey, I'm not trading my room!" Elisa snapped. "At least in this lair we all get one each."

"She's got a point, even if yours is the smallest." Raph smirked. "What's the matter like? Scared or something?"

Donnie turned around, the flashlight near his face.

"Woo-ooh." he said, sounding like a ghost.

"AH!" Mikey screamed, backing away slightly.

His siblings all laughed at him.

"He got you there, scaredy cat." Cath joked.

"Ha, ha. You know I hate it..." Mikey began.

A can fell from the ceiling, clattering along the ground, getting their attention. Donnie shined the flashlight over it, then they all saw it was dented. He then shined it up at the ceiling, showing a bunch of large, slimly mutated ticks.

"Uh... Trying...not...too scream...again." Mikey said nervously, touching his face.

He looked up, seeing one of the ticks right above him.

"AHH!" he screamed.

All six Turtles stared at the ticks, as they crawled along the ceiling, before one jumped down.

"Look out!" Raph yelled.

He ran forward and dived towards Mikey, pulling him down before the tick landed on them both. It turned to the other Turtles as they moved away, as Raph and Mikey both turned to it.

"Wait, is this your nightmare or mine?" Mikey asked, as they got up and pulled out their weapons.

The other ticks all landed around the tunnel, then one pounced towards Raph, who used his Sais to block back its blades arms.

"AH!" Raph grunted, as it pushed him back against the wall. "Defiantly mine. It's bugs. I hate bugs!"

He pushed the tick away, as Mikey moved towards him - his shell to him - spinning his Nunchucks around.

"They-re...They're ticks." Donnie said, looking at one. "Sort of."

Elisa came up beside him as several came down the tunnel towards them.

"Oh, great! We know what they're called!" she said sarcastically. "Thanks for the info, Don!"

Mikey ducked as a few came towards them, then Raph jumped over him and kicked one away. Mikey turned to another as it pounced out of the water towards him, then he kicked it away, making it hit the opposite wall.

"Well, Leo, you're all enlightened now." Mikey said, turning to him. "What's the plan?"

"You got one, Leo?" Cath asked.

They both dodged as a tick tried to pounce on them, making it land on the floor, before it turned around.

"Simple and uncomplicated." Leo said, holding his swords up. "Run!"

All six Turtles turned and ran down the tunnel.

At the E.P.F base, four men were all standing near a holographic keyboard each, pressing on them.

"We have you on screen." one reported.

The others all talked as they kept their hands on the holograms.

"...searching, G17." one said.

"This is G13 to Mutant Tracking Station." a team leader said.

"Mutant tracking, go ahead 13." a man said.

"We need back-up." G13's leader said.

Bishop entered the room as a door opened, wearing his cloak and armour.

"We've encountered a nasty, mutated creatures everywhere." G13's leader explained.

Bishop approached his men.

"Scrambling team 19 to your location, G13." a man explained. "Stand by."

Bishop got behind one of his men.

"Update?" he asked.

The man turned to him.

"Sir, pre your orders, we have decontamination squads at all target sites, waiting for your word." the man explained.

Bishop looked at a bunch of screens, all showing squads of his men inside the sewers of New York.

"Patch me through to Dr. Stockman." he ordered.

The man turned around and pressed his holographic screen, bringing up a digital map of an area of New York.

In a New York, down in a sewer tunnel, Stockman was with a squad of E.P.F soldiers, all with flamethrowers. They all moved down the tunnel, as about four ticks moved towards a grate dead end.

"Dr. Stockman, we've got one." the leader said. "Up ahead."

"Uh, it's not a big one, is it?" Stockman asked nervously.

"Move in! Keep it contained!" the leader ordered.

They all moved down the tunnel slowly.

"Uh, yes. Good idea." Stockman said, stopping as the squad moved on. "Wait, not all of you? Who'll protect me?"

A hologram of Bishop shot from the chest of his armour.

"You have your orders, Dr." he said. "Contain and eliminate. There's to be no evidence. Burn it all!"

"Understood." Stockman said, before the hologram vanished. "Begin decontamination protocol Alpha."

Two of the soldiers fired their flamethrowers at the ticks, burning them as they screeched painfully. Stockman covered his face with his hands as he turned away, then turned back once the soldiers stopped.

"Remember, my welfare is your primary concern." he said. "I'm too important to be eaten."

Meanwhile, the Turtles were all running down another tunnel, Raph in the lead, with Donnie in the rear.

"You think we lost them?" Raph asked.

"I'm sure we're perfectly safe." Mikey said sarcastically.

They all kept on running, when a giant blue mutated bug landed in front of them.

"You were saying, you blockhead!" Elisa scowled, as they stopped.

"Bugs? Why did it have to be bugs?" Raph flinched.

The bug whacked Raph away with its left pincer, sending him flying away.

"Ah!" he groaned.

"Raph!" Leo and Cath cried.

He hit a nearby drain pipe, then fell onto his knees in the water. He growled before he charged forward at the bug, bringing out his Sais as he did. He jumped as it tried to whack him, then he landed right in front of it, before he sliced its pincer off. It screeched painfully, before Raph kicked its belly, spreading blue residue all over him.

"Ah. I hate bugs, and I hate ooze!" Raph complained.

He back flipped and kicked the bug's jaw, knocking it down, before he landed crouched down.

"Bishop's aliens were bad enough, and now we get this?" Raph complained, turning to his siblings as he pointed at the bug, before putting his Sais away. "At least Foot Ninjas have got a little more meat to them."

He wiped the slime off him, as Cath and Donnie both approached the bug and looked at it carefully.

"Look at these tendrils. It's amazing! Gross, but amazing. Hmm. Some kind of mutation." Donnie said, as the others all came up behind them.

"And that ooze looks very familiar." Cath noted.

"Whoa, hold it, Don. We're the Mutants in this town." Raph said.

"What about Leatherhead?" Cath inquired, folding her arms.

"Well, us, him and Master Splinter." Raph corrected. "Still, we don't need these plug uglies stepping on our rep."

Mikey turned as he heard a noise, then everyone else heard a noise.

"Uh, what's that?" Donnie wondered.

"I don't know, but I don't like the sound of it." Elisa gulped.

They all took their weapons out.

"I gotta tell you, I've seen a lot of monster movies, and this kinda thing, it's never good." Mikey said.

"Thanks for the news." Cath said annoyed.

They all stared at an archway in the tunnel, when a giant cockroach came out of it and crawled along the ceiling, following by another. A third one then showed up, which was larger and bulkier, then stood up, showing he had a claw for its left hand, and it looked part human - as it was Todd, the utility workman. He growled as he moved forward slightly, while the six Turtles all looked disgusted.

"What the shell is that?" Elisa questioned.

"It looks...part cockroach, part human." Cath gulped.

"Errgh, splicing kit. Bring a splicing kit. Ergh, ahh!" Todd grunted.

"Please tell me that thing didn't just talk?" Mikey asked.

"It's intelligent." Donnie noted.

"Mikey talks. We don't call him intelligent." Raph said.

"Still, this explains the human part then." Cath realized.

"Raph, Ellie, watch out!" Leo yelled.

Raph and Elisa looked up as a cockroach pounced down from the ceiling. Elisa jumped backwards to avoid it, but it pounced on Raph and pinned him down in the water.

Todd approached the others, before Mikey charged forward, spinning his Nunchucks.

"Mikey, no!" Donnie called, making him stop. "We should try to talk to it."

"It's a vicious mutant cockroach with human sticking out of it!" Mikey exclaimed. "What do you want to talk about; current events?"

"He's right, Don." Elisa agreed. "We need to stop him!"

Todd shot tentacles out from the back of his head, making Donnie push Mikey away to avoid them.

"Watch it!" he gasped.

Todd glared as he approached them all, making the two girls turn to each other.

"This guy is defiantly not nice." Cath gulped. "We'll have to fight to defend ourselves at least."

"That's good enough for me, sis." Elisa agreed, as they backed away.

Back in the government base, Bishop and his men were all staring at a holographic image of Stockman.

"It's just incredible. We've made contact." Stockman explained. "We've encountered hundreds of carriers, multiple species; the mutagenetic accelerant seems to be moving up the food chain. It's as if the DNA itself is intelligent."

"Dr. is this containable?" Bishop asked.

"Well, uh, I need to study one of the creatures, to, uh, find out how it's spreading, and uh-" Stockman explained nervously.

"Is this containable?!" Bishop said impatiently.

"Well, I, uh, the truth is...I have no idea." Stockman said honestly.

Back in the sewers, the Turtles all stared at Todd, expect Raph, who was grunting, as the cockroach had a tentacle wrapped around his right forearm.

"Hey, tentacles off!" he demanded.

He gritted his teeth as he struggled to get free.

"I said..." he grunted, dropping his right Sai. "...tentacles off!"

He sliced the tentacle with his left Sai, then he back flipped away onto his hands, and then again onto his feet. The cockroach screeched as Raph charged at it, then he punched it twice in the belly, then spun around and kicked it, sending it flying towards a support beam. It hit it and fell onto all fours, before it turned and ran off screeching up a tunnel.

"That's right. You better run." Raph said.

Leo flipped away from a cockroach onto his hands, then flipped away again and landed crouched down. He stared at cockroach, then jumped up as it shot two tentacles at him, which missed. He landed between the tentacles, then charged at the cockroach, before slicing its tentacles off with his sword, then he backed away.

Mikey stared at Todd, then backed away and ducked as Todd shot a tentacle at him, then he jumped sideways to his left to dodge it again.

"Uh!" he moaned, as the tentacle whacked him, pinning him on a wall. "Oh!"

He fell to his knees in the water, as Donnie and the girls all backed away from Todd. Donnie tried to whack a tentacle with his Bo, but missed, while Cath managed to whack another away with her right Tonfa. Elisa and Cath both backed flipped away as one nearly hit them both, while another wrapped around Donnie's Bo, before it flipped him up onto his behind.

"Ah!" he yelped.

Raph charged past him, then flipped forward as Todd pulled his tentacle back. He jumped as Todd tried to whack him with his arm, then he kicked Todd away, before landing crouched down. He turned and ran towards Donnie, along with both the girls.

"You okay, bro?" Raph asked.

He helped Donnie up as the girls stopped near them.

"Thanks." Donnie said.

"Don, are you hurt?" Cath asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, Cath." Donnie assured.

Elisa turned and ran over to Mikey, then helped him up.

"Mikey, are you okay?" she asked.

"Yeah... Don, Raph, Cathy, look out!" Mikey screamed, looking at them.

The three of them turned around, seeing four tentacles shooting at them all.

"Run!" Cath cried, as she ran off.

"Move!" Raph yelled, pushing Donnie away.

Raph backed flipped away before the tentacles could hit him, then Cath jumped up and kicked her feet against a wall, making them miss her, before she dived down as they pulled away. Donnie however, kept on running, before one stung his right leg above the knee.

"AH!" Donnie cried.

Raph stabbed the tentacle with his Sai, making Todd pull it away.

"My leg!" Donnie cried, rubbing the area it been stung.

"Don, are you alright?" Cath asked, running towards him.

"Yeah, just a nick." Donnie replied.

Cath looked at his leg and wasn't convinced.

"I'm checking your leg once this is over!" she said sternly. "No arguments!"

"Fine." Donnie understood. "Thanks again, Raph."

They all turned to Todd as he growled and approached them all, then they all jumped over it, landing crouched down. Donnie then turned around and whacked his leg with his Bo, making Todd stumble forward. Raph then ran forward as Todd turned around, then began punching him, as Mikey and Elisa both jumped and kicked him at the same time, knocking him back.

"Ah!" Todd grumbled.

He stopped and stared at the five Turtles, as Leo came at him from behind, then he jumped up and kicked him in the back, knocking him onto his chest.

"Ah!" Todd moaned.

He fell onto the floor and slid along the water towards the others, then he pulled himself up and turned to Leo. He turned back to the others, then he ran off down a tunnel crying, confusing them.

"Did we...scare it?" Elisa wondered.

"Who cares. Who's for getting the shell outta here?" Mikey exclaimed, turning to her.

"We gotta go after that...whatever it is." Raph argued.

"Let the poor thing go." Donnie said.

"We need to regroup and figure out what's going on." Leo said. "Somehow, I don't think we've seen the last of these things."

"I agree." Cath said. "I have a feeling this is only the beginning."

Later, in the new lair, Donnie was on top of a ladder, installing a security camera, as Mikey watched him.

"Hey, Don, why don't you take it easy?" Mikey suggested. "It's been a long night."

"I'll rest easier with the security systems finished." Donnie said, as he finished installing the camera. "Whatever those things are, I sure don't want 'em in here."

"How's your leg?" Mikey asked.

"Still aches." Donnie said. "I've got too much to worry about to let Cath look at it."

A beeping noise got their attention, then Donnie jumped down from the ladder and ran towards his new computer.

"Good, my analysis is finished." he said.

His siblings - expect Cath and Leo - all gathered around him, Mikey with a packet of photo chips.

"I got a sample from one of the ticks Raph took out." he explained, turning to them. "Something about the ooze was familiar."

"Like Cath said?" Elisa asked. "I mean, she noticed that during the fight."

"Yeah, and she was right." Donnie explained, as Leo came over. "I compared it to data I collected on my P.D.A awhile back, and found out Cath was right."

"Right about what?" Leo asked. "Your theory?"

"Bishop." Donnie said, as Cath came over with a bandage she'd found.

"What about Bishop?" Cath asked. "Care to explain?"

"Well, DNA from Bishop's aliens has mixed with these creatures, and it looks like it's somehow spreading." Donnie explained. "If that's the case, it's only going to get worse. A lot worse."

"Like you said, sis, this is only the beginning." Elisa said.

"It sure is." Cath agreed.

"Ah!" Donnie moaned, as his leg began to ich.

"That's it, I'm checking that leg now!" Cath said sternly.

"But-" Donnie began.

"No 'buts', Donatello!" Cath scowled. "Sit down!"

Elisa and Mikey both turned to each other, as Donnie sighed and sat down on the chair near the computer.

"Full name term?" Mikey said. "She must be serious."

"Uh-huh." Elisa muttered, agreeingly.

"Isn't she always?" Raph inquired, turning to them.

Leo, Elisa and Mikey all nodded, as Cath bent down to look at Donnie's leg.

At the government base, Bishop stared at his men, as they kept touching the holograms.

"Sir, teams 2 and 4 just reported in." one reported. "All mutated creatures in their sectors have been destroyed. The genetic martial incinerated."

"Teams 18 through 20 are clear." another reported, as a hologram showed a squad in a sewer tunnel. "Teams 6 through 9 are reporting in."

Bishop touched a hologram, extending it, showing Stockman in a tunnel.

"Dr., report!" he ordered.

The hologram showed Todd growling.

"This was something we hadn't seen before." Stockman explained, as Todd vanished from the hologram. "It came up out of the sub-sewers. We're preparing to subdue it now."

(The sewers)

"But I think I've found a sample worth studying." Stockman assured.

A squad of E.P.F soldiers ran past him down the tunnel with staffs, while others tried to restrain Todd.

"Hey!" one said.

"Get him!" another grunted."

"Come on!" the first said.

"Grab him now!" a third said.

"Hold him down!" a fourth said.

They all aimed their staffs at Todd, showing they were stun rifles, and began firing stun shock blasts at Todd.

"AH! AGHH!" he cried.

In the streets, outside a cafe, sat three people, a couple on one table, and a man on the other, who drank a cup of coffee. A bird was nearby, which he saw, then he picked up some crums from a sandwich he was eaten, that was on a plate.

"Here, birdie, here, birdie." he said, tossing the crums to the ground.

The bird turned around and screeched, extending a large tongue out, showing it was mutated like the ticks.

"Ah!" the man yelped, dropping his sandwich as he picked it up.

The tongue wrapped around his face and head, then the bird screeched as it jumped up.
