Where could Sonic and Eggman end up? What alternate dimension would the two enemies discover? What would the natives do if and once they gazed eyes on them? Or maybe most importantly, what will happen to them once they enter their destination?

Sonic seemed unconscious as he was flying around through some kind of energy tunnel, his body spinning in all different directions. Bright lights and colours shone around as particles and lightning bolts flashed and sparked. As the tunnel of energy and colours changed around, what appeared to be the environment outside changed its appearance every time there was a different colour. For instance, when the tunnel's colour turned orange with streaks of black and white, the environment outside was rocky and volcanic with massive pools and rivers of lava filled with bursts of fire and volcanoes in the background erupting. Then when the colours became blue with lighter shades, the environment was cloudy with rain and lightning bolts flashing.

As Sonic flew and spun through the energy tunnel, Eggman was not far behind. The mad doctor was shouting and screaming as he spun and flew around through. And along with him were his damaged Eggpod, several pieces and parts of his tech and equipment, and the seven Chaos Emeralds.

Eggman desperately tried reaching out to grab them, but they were all completely out of his range. However, four of them remained in the air close to him while the other three drifted towards Sonic. The unconscious hedgehog's infrared scope slipped off his ear. As the enemies and objects shifted on and on, there came different sounds and voices. Through small wormholes that appeared in the tunnel, there were multiple different individuals seen through them. Some of which were different versions of Sonic.

When the energy tunnel seemed like it would go on forever, just further down was a wormhole which showed a structure through it. The structure was a large pinkish-purple building. It had a street in front of it with the statue of a horse, a parking lot in the back, and a soccer field on its left side. Everything in the surroundings was houses, trees, and hills and mountains far out in the distance.

Sonic and Eggman could do nothing as they hovered into the wormhole and vanished. Within seconds, Sonic suddenly appeared in the sky with his body all covered in a bright white light and started falling towards the surface of the globe. He felt the wind blowing hard on him as he opened his eyes to realize that he was falling towards the distant ground at dangerously fast speeds, "Whoa! Whoa! WHOA! Bad-bad-bad!"

Sonic reached behind him to see if he could grab his backpack. Luckily, he still had it with him, and he quickly started searching inside for any leftover Portal Rings only to discover, "Aw, man! Of all times, why'd I have to run out of Portal Rings NOW?!"

Sonic was just over a hundred stories away from the ground and approaching fast. He desperately checked in his side pockets for anything useful, and he was just lucky enough to find one spare Warp Ring, "Yes!"

Sonic tossed his Portal Ring in front of him, and it transformed into a Ring Portal. Sonic dived right through the portal and popped right out of the other end which appeared at the surface with the hedgehog coming out of it upwards. He did a pair of flips while making sure he would land on his feet. Once he made contact with the ground, he collapsed and fell down both from shock and relief, "Phew… that… was… too close for comfort. Hope I won't have that happen to me again. And I'm glad I didn't land face first with my head in the ground for once. It's always the face."

As the white glow around his body disappeared and the Ring Portal vanished, Sonic shook his head around to try and shake any bit of dizziness out of him. However, something felt off; he couldn't feel his quills on his head. He reached behind to see if he could find them, but he couldn't feel the touch of his hand on his quills or even his fur. But he did feel something, and it did feel somewhat like fur, however it felt longer and more like… "Huh? Is that… hair?"

Sonic put his hands in front of him and to his surprise, they looked like they had become human hands with a different pair of gloves, "Whaaa… what's… going on…?"

Sonic turned to look around for something; a mirror, a puddle, something with a reflection. Luckily, he saw a white statue with a horse on top of it. The statue also had a mirror on the base, "Mirror. Reflection. Need to look. Now."

Sonic ran right over to the mirror on the statue quickly to see his reflection. He closed his eyes as he prepared for the surprise. The very second he peeked to see, the face he saw in his reflection caused him to yelp and jump back, "AAAH!"

Sonic fell backwards onto the ground on his back away from the mirror on the statue base, panting in utter surprise and confusion. He quickly stood back up on his feet and walked back towards the mirror to look at his reflection again. When he saw what he had become, his hand laid against the statue's mirror, "What's happened to me?"

When Sonic had arrived in this strange new world, he completely transformed from a Mobian hedgehog into a human being. He had peach-coloured skin, his quills were replaced with long admiral blue hair with some of it looking spiky that fell to his neck, and he still had his green emerald eyes. He was wearing an unzipped sleeveless cerulean blue vest hoodie with gold yellow drawstrings and navy blue streaks on the bottom over a white T-shirt that had a few rips at the neck. His lower half contained azure blue sweatpants with a couple of rips to the knees, and his same bright red and white shoes with the gold buckles on his feet. For accessories, he had cloud gray speed glasses with emerald green lances hanging on the collar of his shirt. On his hands were white fingerless gloves with a shade of emerald green on the palm side with grip pads and a red and yellow highlighted star on the back. A sapphire blue wristband was on both wrists. He happened to still have the scar over his right eye, which had to mean the scars on his stomach were there too. He still had the Light Gaia bracelet on his right wrist while the Power Ring on his left had slipped off during the transportation, and he also still had the same backpack he wore before on his back.

Sonic continued to look at his reflections as he felt himself to see if what his eyes were telling him was real, "Oh, wow. I'm a human? This is nuts. Surprised by the way I arrived. Guess I should at least feel lucky to be wearing something. Huh, is the hair actually blue, like naturally, or dyed?"

Sonic also saw that despite his transformation into a human being, his ears were still the same type of ears for a Mobian Hedgehog. They stuck out from his hair and they looked exactly the same as they did before with the blue fur, "No way, my ears didn't change. Now that's kinda strange."

Sonic heard a faint sound behind him as he began to feel a very familiar energy nearby. He turned around to see that there were a few of the seven Chaos Emeralds, more specifically the red, yellow and turquoise ones. The humanized hedgehog felt that it'd be better to hold on to them and not let anyone take them. He grabbed the Emeralds and opened up his backpack to put them inside. However, as he opened it, he found something else inside that made him silent with wide eyes.

Inside of his backpack were ten leftover Golden Rings, a few Power Rings, a black and silver round sword hilt with certain and specific details, and a guitar medallion. The sword hilt was his customized beam sword he collected from his days taking part in the Super Smash Brothers Tournament. And the medallion was the special gift given to him by his mother when he was younger.

Sonic reached into his backpack and slowly pulled out his medallion. He took a long look at it in the palm of his hand as he shed a small tear in his eye with a smile, "Mom… Manic… Sonia…"

Sonic decided that he would put the medallion back on after not wearing it for years to bring back the memories of his family. After he clipped it around his neck, he then pulled out his beam sword and thought about his time participating in the Smash Tournaments, "Heh, been a long time since I've seen this. Forgot I even had this in my bag all this time. It was my favourite item to use back then. It was also pretty cool that I managed to win against Mario a few times. Wonder if he's still participating."

Sonic's beam sword was custom-designed and gifted to him as an award for his three years of success in the Smash Tournaments before he dropped out. While most of the hilt itself looked like that of a standard beam sword hilt, it was custom painted in clean silver with details of gold and glowing neon blue, the guard underneath the blade emitter had a custom blue and white logo of himself in the middle and the pommel cap was designed to look like the blue Chaos Emerald. But because he hadn't used it ever since he left the tournament, the batteries had to have died over time.

Sonic also took a moment to examine the Gold Rings he had, "Huh, I always forget that I pack some spare rings. I wonder if there's any use I can make out of 'em here?"

Putting his items away with the Emeralds he found, Sonic put his backpack back on. He took a moment to look around and saw that in front of the statue was the building that was seen in the vortex that he fell into, "How convenient that I happen to land outside of someplace at least."

Then Sonic thought of something while looking around to make sure there weren't any witnesses, "Should probably check to see if I still have my powers."

Putting his theory to the test, Sonic ran around the building in circles with his super speed and did it ten times in five seconds. He then grabbed some stones from the ground and tossed them in the air. He jumped in the air to try his spin dash attack with a Power Ring. He curved into a spiky blue ball and dashed at the stones destroying them.

Sonic sighed in relief as he was glad he didn't lose his powers, "Man, without my powers, I'd probably be in some serious trouble."

Sonic then took a long look over himself again. His muscles felt much stronger than they did back on Mobius and he thought his clothing seemed to really suit his style, "Wow, I really do look good no matter what I look like. I think I could get used to this."

Sonic noticed what appeared to be a sign right next to a stairway that had doors that would go into the building. He went over to see what it said and read it, "Canterlot High School."

Sonic stood still for a second when he let his arms drop as he realized what he said out loud, "SCHOOL!? Aw, man… I hate school. And I especially hated being in those science classes. Bah, those nerd things are more for people like Tails, not me! Ugh, but if this is where I ended up, then I guess I don't have any choice. Oh, well. It could be worse."

Sonic decided that his only option was to head inside. Only there was something else; it was nighttime at the moment. Which had to mean that the doors were locked. No way for him to get inside. Sonic scratched his head as he pondered, "If I landed outside a school, then I guess this is where I gotta be. Apparently. Wonder where I need to go in the meantime until the sun's up."

Sonic took a look up and saw the roof of the school was only three floors high. Not even a challenge for him. Using his speed, he ran up the wall and jumped onto the roof. The only thing that was up here was a giant glass half dome window in the middle. Sonic approached the window and took a look through to see what was inside. At this hour, it seemed hard to get a clear view of the interior.

Sonic turned and leaned against the steel part of the window, slowly sliding to sit down. He put his hands behind his head as he let out a sign, "Man, talk about a crazy day…"

Sonic took the time to stare at the starlit sky. There were some noticeable differences from the sky he had always seen at night in Mobius. The colour of the sky itself seemed to have a more lavender colour instead of black or dark blue, the stairs looked fairly similar to the ones he was used to, and even the moon looked different. Though looking at this full moon seemed to make him let out a small smile; the moon back in Mobius was once full and complete, until the day Robotnik blasted it in half with Space Colony ARK.

Sonic continued to sit on the roof gazing at the sky, letting his thoughts wander over recent events. The adrenaline from all of the action and chaos in Mobius before his arrival in this world and change in appearance left him pondering what his fate would be in silence; mulling over said recent events. One minute he seemed against all odds with the seven Chaos Emeralds at his side, ready to thwart Eggman's schemes, finally bring him in the authorities and even get back with his friends… and the next minute, here he was; in a strange new world with a strange new appearance after tumbling and flying helplessly through space.

Sonic looked down away from the sky as he put one leg over the other as he thought to himself, "I guess Eggman's nasty machine sent me here. And somehow a few of the Chaos Emeralds were dragged in too. Here I am, in a whole different dimension with an almost completely human appearance. Could I now be lightyears away from home? Might there be no way back? Am I the only one of my kind here? Has Eggman… won?"

Sonic let out a sigh from his nostrils as his eyes closed and he started falling asleep, "Guess I'll have to find out… starting tomorrow."

As Sonic fell asleep sitting against the window on the roof, speeding up time, the moon took its course of moving across the sky along with the stairs shifting through as if they were all shooting in space. Then as dawn came and the sun rose up from behind the hills, birds started chirping and there was even the sound of a rooster crowing from somewhere not too far away. The sound of the crowing rooster caused Sonic's ear to involuntarily twitch, and he moaned as he started waking up, letting out a long yawn while stretching out his arms and legs.

Sonic stood up on his feet and twisted left then right to stretch out his back, letting out a few sounds of cracking along with a relieved and relaxed sigh, "Ahhh…"

As he rubbed his eyes to get the sleepiness out, he realized that it was morning. So the doors to the school beneath his feet had to be opened. Taking a quick look around the area to make sure that no one was around to see him and acknowledging that he was alone, he jumped down from the roof and landed on the ground with a shoulder roll following the landing. Standing up, he walked up the stairs and approached the doors, but before his hand even touched the handle, he suddenly stopped as he thought of something, "Wait a second…"

Sonic just remembered about his hedgehog ears sticking out of the hair on his now human head, "Probably a chance that humans in this world have regular ears and mine are gonna attract attention. Bad attention, more likely. Gotta hide 'em somehow."

Then Sonic noticed something else. He looked behind to see that his hood apparently had ears on them as well, except that they were holes on the inside. Pulling it on over his head, he could feel his hedgehog ears fit snugly in the ear holes in the hood, convincing him that this should help him look less suspicious. Now with his attention fully on the doors right in front of him, he took a deep breath and grabbed hold of the handle to open them.

Sonic slowly opened the doors, and the first thing he saw in front of him was a long hallway going from left to right in front of him with directions leading to locker areas. On the other side of the place he stood was another doorway ahead. There were also shelves with different trophies for different sports on both sides of the room. Along the halls both to his left and right there was a staircase that led to a second floor above him, which had more hallways with lockers and doors to different rooms. There were also many different coloured ribbons on the walls. This place was definitely a school.

There were already a handful of students in the main area. Each of them chatting with others while carrying their books and backpacks. Sonic let out a quiet, impressed whistle as he looked at the designs of the material in the halls, "Not bad. Nice style."

Sonic decided to walk around the place. As he went down the hallways, he saw other teenagers opening lockers and getting supplies from inside them. They all seemed to be students of this school.

"Hmm, it doesn't really seem too bad here," Sonic thought, "But I've never gone to school before, except for those first few days before being homeschooled as long as I remember. Sooooo... what the heck am I supposed to do in an actual school?"

Sonic went to turn around a corner in the hallway, but he happened to look to the side, forgetting to watch where he was going. The next thing that happened was him accidently bumping into someone else and falling over, "OOF!"

Sonic landed on the floor and rubbed his head. He looked in front of him to see the person he accidentally bumped into. It was a teenage girl with cyan-blue skin, her long layered hair was the six colours of the rainbow, and her eyes were magenta-violet-pink. She wore a marigold orange T-shirt with the logo of a white cloud with a primary-coloured lightning bolt on the chest and denim blue on the sleeves and shoulders, along with fuschia pink sweatpants that had white strips on the side of the legs and a hint of magenta purple on the lower half of both legs. Around her waist was a cerulean blue hoodie with the same logo of the cloud and lightning bolt on the back wrapped on with the sleeves. Her footwear was a pair of cobalt blue running shoes with a trim of tiger orange and inside were primary coloured socks. Additional accessories were primary-coloured striped tennis wristbands on her wrists, a white and fuschia pink baseball hat on her head backwards and black speed glasses with tiger orange lenses over the hat.

The girl sat disorientedly on the floor as her eyes spun in circles like a dizzy cartoon with stars circling around her head. The first thing that Sonic took notice of this girl was the colours she had. From his experience with other humans, they weren't in colours from a rainbow, "Whoa, okay. This might be one of the strangest days of my life."

The girl shook her head to shake her dizziness off. She noticed Sonic in front of her and scratched her head letting out an embarrassed chuckle, "Heheheh, uhh, s'cuse me? Heh-heh."

Sonic only had a raised eyebrow as he didn't know how he should respond. Wasting no time, the girl got back onto her feet and offered Sonic a hand with another small sheepish laugh, "Let me help you."

Sonic gladly accepted the offer and the girl pulled him up. Sonic scratched his head out of embarrassment with a chuckle, "My bad. Should'a watched where I was going."

The girl just waved her hand in response with a smile, "No sweat. Even for someone as awesome as myself, the same happens to me every now and then."

Sonic chuckled along with the girl for a moment. Then the girl happened to take a look at Sonic. She looked at his style of clothes with the colours, the attire on his hands, the glasses hanging on the shirt collar, and the design of his hood, "Huh, you look new here at Canterlot High."

Sonic just casually shrugged, "Yeah, you got it. Just arrived today and I'm, uh, just takin' a look around the place."

"I like your style," the girl added with her finger on her chin, "You actually look pretty cool. Dunno about the ears on your hood, though. You play any sports, blue boy?"

"Uh, I've done some sports here and there, but I've always been a good runner," Sonic answered, "I run pretty fast, and I'm proud of being fast."

"Fast, huh?" The girl raised her eyebrow with a cocky smirk, "Well, don't take this the wrong way, buddy, but who you've got your eyes on right now is the best athlete student in Canterlot High. I've got the best scores in the sports, and I'm the captain of every team."

Sonic gave an expression of approval with a golf clap, "Now that's impressive. Not that I'll know what it'd feel like if I could be in that position. Then again, it's not like I want to anyways."

"Not much of a trophy seeker?" the girl asked.

Sonic simply shrugged again, casually acknowledging her. He then took hold of his backpack's shoulder straps, "Anyway, I better get going. Later."

Sonic gave a quick goodbye salute to the girl as he went back to walking down the hall. The girl kept her eyes on Sonic for a moment before she continued her way while talking to herself quietly, "Wonder where that dude came from."

As Sonic walked down the hall, some others began to notice him. As more of them saw him, they began gazing their eyes onto him. Some of these students began whispering to each other about him. Some others began giggling or laughing at him politely, and some were even waving at him shyly.

Sonic saw that everyone here was just a little nervous about him. He decided he should respect them. In doing so, he smiled politely and gave them a friendly wave. As a result, other students became less nervous and smiled back at him with a wave. They really seemed to think he was a nice guy.

Sonic actually thought this was an opportunity to make new friends. But there was something very odd about each of these students. He saw that just like the other girl from before, each of them had so many different colours of skin, hair, and eyes. He knew this wasn't natural for humans, but he just went along with it, since he did have blue hair.

Sonic continued walking forward looking around the place when he suddenly felt something lightly hit the front of his shoe, "Huh?"

Sonic looked down to see a textbook right in front of his foot. He picked it up before he noticed a guy picking a few pieces of paper he might have accidentally dropped on the floor.

The guy had bright tan skin, cobalt blue hair in a fringe-up hairstyle, and lapis blue eyes. He was wearing an unzipped metal black sleeveless hoodie which had a yellow lightning bolt on the left side of the chest. Underneath the hoodie was a white T-shirt which had the logo of a yellow lightning bolt over a lapis and cobalt blue shield on the chest, crimson red and cobalt blue highlights on the sleeves and black long sleeves attached underneath. He also wore Aegean blue jean pants with a black belt which had a gold buckle around his waist. His footwear were metal black coloured sneakers with white laces, a white trim on the front and a yellow lightning bolt on the inner side. Additionally, he had a watch on his wrist and a guitar case on his back with a strap over his shoulder.

The guy let out a sigh of frustration to himself as he gathered up his scattered papers. Sonic came over to the guy with the book in his hands and asked him, "S'cuse me, this yours?"

The guy looked up and saw Sonic holding the textbook to him, "Huh? Oh, yeah, it is. Thank you."

Sonic handed him the book, "No prob. Have a nice day."

As Sonic walked past the guy to continue exploring, the guy just cleaned up his mess and put his supplies away in his backpack, though he looked at Sonic as he walked away, "Who was that guy?"

Sonic continued on walking down the halls. As he did so, he began to pass different groups of guys and girls. The guys were giving him a 'what's up' motion with their hands while a small number of the girls seemed to be blushing and shyly waving at him. More specifically, the girls who blushed at him were those who were in casual/sports styles while the other girls in more stylish or "nerdy" styles either just waved with a polite smile or completely didn't notice him. Regardless, Sonic just seemed to have quite an amount of luck getting friendly attention towards him.

Sonic still had no clue what he was supposed to do, but he began to think carefully, "Okay, all I know is that a school always has a principal. If that's it, then maybe I should just ask people if they know where to go."

Sonic was just about to ask one of the students. But right before he got the chance to do so, he heard the voice of someone angry from around the corner of another hallway, "Thought you could get away from me so easily, did you?"

Immediately after that voice had spoken out, Sonic noticed some of the students who were looking in the direction of where that voice came from were stepping back. Something was up, and it had to mean bad news if these students looked tense. Wasting no time, he went over to see what was going on and saw two young teenage girls in the middle of the hallway.

One of the girls had yellowish-orange skin, bright red and bumblebee-yellow wavy hair, and aqua greenish-blue eyes. She was wearing a charcoal black leather jacket which had tiny silver spikes on the collar and padding on the shoulders and forearms in the colour of tangerine orange. Underneath the jacket was a magenta purple shirt with the logo of a red and yellow shimmering sun on the chest. She also wore a magenta purple skirt with yellow and red fire lining around the bottom, and along with the skirt also came a black leather belt around her waist that was almost covered in silver and gold studs. For her footwear, she had charcoal black heel boots which had a magenta purple flame design on the feet and more silver and gold studs around the ankles.

The other girl had cream-yellow skin, her bright pink hair fell to her waist in a flowy hairstyle with a white butterfly hair clip in it, and she had teal blue eyes with ballet-slipper-pink eyeshadow. She was wearing a white non-zipper fleece which had grass green on the sleeves and sides of the body. Along with the fleece was an aqua green knee-length flowy skirt which had the images of butterflies in different shades of pink and a taffy pink see-through silk across the bottom with white dots. Her footwear were taffy pink lace up sandals with hints of chartreuse green on the feet and a pink bow on the top. She also had a blonde yellow and white backpack with three pink butterflies on her back, as well as a watermelon pink belt with a white butterfly buckle around her waist.

The pink-haired girl was on the floor against the wall, and the red-and-yellow-haired girl looked like she was bullying her. The pink-haired girl stammered in fear and shyness as she tried to speak, "I… I didn't–"

The bully girl interrupted the shy girl as she shouted while slamming her hand against a locker, "Sooner or later, you're going to wish you never took what was rightfully mine! And this time, your new friend isn't here to help you!"

Seeing this behavior by the bully girl towards the shy girl caused Sonic to waste no time and move in towards them. Other students noticed him and were surprised at what he was doing. The shy girl felt so offended by her bully, she was right on the verge of tears, "I…"

The bully girl was just about to shout again, when all of a sudden, she was grabbed right on the shoulder and forced to turn around by Sonic, "HEY! Back off, hothead! Not cool!"

The shy girl was completely surprised to see Sonic do this. Sonic's action also happened to catch other students who saw this off guard. It was like no one ever dared to stand up against the bully girl before. The shy girl looked back and forth between Sonic and the bully girl; processing the new kid coming out of nowhere and stopping said bully. The bully girl pulled Sonic's hand off her shoulder, "And who the hay are you supposed to be?! Get lost!"

Keeping himself from getting carried away but still using his cocky attitude, Sonic replied, "Whaddaya think gives you the right to treat someone like that?"

The bully girl yelled in response, "I rule this place! So I get to speak to anyone anywhere here anyway I want to anytime! So beat it! I have business with this brat!"

The shy girl whimpered in fear, worrying about how the situation in front of her could escalate. Sonic kept his cool as he responded, "You 'rule' this place? Then where's the crown, huh? I don't see no crown on your head. And y'know what? Maybe you might actually scare someone like me if you weren't dressed up like some 80's rock back wannabe."

The bully girl's eyes went wide as a sudden hint of red came onto her face from Sonic's insult towards her. She opened her mouth as she was about to speak, but Sonic immediately made her quiet as he gave her a mocking smirk with his hands against his hips, "Oh, and as for who I think you are, Ms. Edgy, I think you're just someone who has a bit of a temper tantrum and should probably talk to someone and find a friend. Oh, wait. With the way you're acting, you can't talk to anyone because you probably don't even have any friends."

This response caused some of the students at the end of the hall to cover their mouths with their hands, hiding their sudden smiles and trying hard not to laugh out loud, though a little snicker from them could be heard. For the bully girl, however, this only seemed to anger her further as she pointed her finger right in Sonic's face, "I'm warning you, rat! You're gonna get in big trouble if you don't respect the person who rules this school!"

Sonic perked at the name that the girl just called him, his expression suddenly shifting from cocky and confident attitude to angry and serious. He suddenly grabbed her hand with his, slowly making the grip tighter and tighter. The girl grunted in pain as she tried pulling her hand out of Sonic's grip, but to no avail; he had quite the strength to hold her tight. She then raised her other hand, gripping it into a fist, and tried throwing a punch right at Sonic's face. But all this resulted with nothing but Sonic catching the punch with his other hand and putting in a tight grip as well.

The students watched in awe as this seemed beyond what they were expecting. The bully girl snarled and yelled at Sonic as she tried hard to get out of his tight grip, "OW! Let go of me!"

Sonic still kept his cool as he responded, "Here's something you should know. Just because you may be bigger or older doesn't mean you can pick on anyone, especially this young lady. No matter how small, how young or how different, everything deserves respect."

The shy girl was astonished by Sonic's words as she couldn't believe he was defending her; a stranger coming out of nowhere and going out of his way to protect someone he didn't even know. After a moment, Sonic finally let go of the bully girl's hands as she moved back a few steps rubbing her wrists from the grip they were just in, "Whatever, you're never gonna earn my respect. You'll be sorry."

The bully girl began to walk away, but she sternly kept her eyes on Sonic as she walked past him. Other students all stepped back in fear as she walked past them down the hall and around the corner. Once she was out of sight, they all let out a sigh of relief. Sonic only shook his head in disappointment at her. The shy girl was amazed at how Sonic protected her from her bully.

Sonic slowly turned his attention to the shy girl who then quickly covered her face in her hair; she really seemed to be more shy than he thought. Not wanting to scare her, Sonic slowly got onto one knee on the floor and asked her calmly, "Hey there, miss. Are you alright?"

The girl kept her face in her hair for a moment, before she peeked through to see Sonic's face. When she noticed his green emerald eyes, she seemed to see something through them; a stranger with a good heart who wanted to make sure that she was okay. She seemed to be a little more comfortable as she slowly uncovered her face and nodded, "M– Mm-hmm…"

Sonic smiled as he very slowly offered the girl his hand to help her stand up, "Here, need a hand?"

The girl was a little hesitant, but she accepted and gently took Sonic's hand. Very carefully, the good-hearted Mobian hoisted her up onto her feet. The girl quickly gained the courage to speak, "Th… thank you for defending me from her."

Sonic smiled as he softly responded, "You're welcome. I'm glad to see she didn't hurt you."

The girl didn't really know what to say except that she was amazed, "I can't believe you did that."

"Uh, whatcha mean?" Sonic asked.

The girl answered, though still a little shy, "No one has ever stood up to Sunset Shimmer before. No one ever does."

Sonic took the name in his head, "So… that's her name. Sunset Shimmer."

Sonic then responded to the girl, "Well, I couldn't just stand back there and let her hurt you like that. It's just wrong for someone to do that, especially to someone like you."

The girl smiled at how Sonic was being kind to her. Sonic then cleared his throat, "Anyway, I should introduce myself. I'm Sonic."

The girl was still a bit shy, so she whispered, "Um… I'm…"

Sonic slowly turned his ear to the girl, "Sorry, I didn't quite catch that."

The girl whispered again, but just a little louder so Sonic could hear, "My name is Fluttershy."

Sonic was able to hear this time, "Ah, Fluttershy. Okay. That's actually a really nice name."

Fluttershy smiled at how kind and friendly Sonic was to her; it felt to her like he was the very first person in her life who was as gentle and kind as her, "I can't believe I was defended twice in a row today."

"Twice?" Sonic asked, "Someone else defended you from Sunset?"

"Y-yes," Fluttershy answered, "Another girl named Twilight Sparkle."

"Twilight Sparkle? Hmm, I wonder who she could be," Sonic thought.

Fluttershy then took a look at Sonic from head to toe, realizing that he was new to her, "Um, I don't think I've seen you here at Canterlot High before. Did you just get transferred here from another school?"

Sonic had a feeling that if he said a word about where he came from, it would probably lead to an awkward situation. So he answered with a lie for a highly understandable intention, "Uhh, I wouldn't say I actually got 'transferred', more like I'm just looking for a new place to go from another school. One that, uh, I guess didn't really sit well for me. Uh, hope ya don't mind my asking, but why was Sunset even picking on you anyways?"

"Well, it all started earlier this morning at the Wondercolt Statue," Fluttershy explained, "I was passing out flyers for the animal shelter like I do every Wednesday. No one came over to take one. I felt really sad about it, but then something hit me in the head from behind. I looked and saw that it looked like a golden crown with a bright purple star on top of it."

Sonic put his hand on his chin to think. He didn't have any clue about what this crown was, but he figured it probably had something to do with Sunset, "Okay, and did you do anything with it?"

"I have no idea how it got there," Fluttershy answered, "But I didn't want anything to happen to it. So I decided to give it to Principal Celestia."

Sonic slightly raised an eyebrow, "Principal Celestia? Oh! That's the person who makes the rules here?"

"Uh-huh," Fluttershy answered, "And Vice-Principal Luna too."

Just before Sonic could ask Fluttershy anything else, an adult female voice spoke through the speakers in the halls, "Attention, students. Due to a new student at Canterlot High today, any other new student must report to Principal Celestia's office for orientation. That is all. Thank you."

Knowing that this was probably important, Fluttershy informed Sonic, "You should probably get going. Principal Celestia may be expecting you in her office."

Sonic gave a quick thumbs-up, "Cool. I'll see ya around."

Sonic got into a ready-to-run pose with both hands behind his back and one leg off the floor, until he quickly remembered that he probably couldn't let Fluttershy see his super speed. Also, he didn't even know where the principal's office was to begin with. He turned his head towards Fluttershy with an embarrassed toothy smile, "Uuuuuuh… where's her office, exactly?"

Fluttershy gladly pointed in Sonic's direction, "Oh, third door on your left."

Sonic went off down the hallway and around the corner to the principal's office, but not without giving a quick salute and wink to Fluttershy, "Thanks, bye!"

As soon as Sonic was out of sight, the wink he gave to Fluttershy made let out a smile with a blush of pink on her cheeks as she flicked her hair before walking to her class, "What a really nice guy. I wish there were a lot more people like him in this world."

As Sonic approached the principal's office, he couldn't help but have a good feeling about this, "Huh, maybe school isn't as bad as I thought. This could be an interesting day. Though I better keep my guard up, just in case something out of the ordinary happens."

Sonic could be right; this could be an interesting day for his time in this new world. The arrival at a new place, him in a new form, different kinds of people to meet, new places to explore… a lot to maybe look forward to. Though one thing that he might not look forward to… would be encountering Eggman launching another surprise attack. Speaking of the mad doctor, what happened on his end?

Turning the clock back by an estimate of four hours, consciousness started slowly making its way back into Eggman's head. He moaned out of disorientation; his vision had gotten blurry after the wild dimensional ride. He could only see his hand reaching out for something, "Ohhh… what happened?"

When his vision started clearing up, the next thing to appear right in front of him was… "Ah, good late morning, Doctor!"

Orbot appeared out of nowhere right in Eggman's face, catching him by surprise and causing him to yelp and jump back in alarm, "BAH!"

Eggman landed onto his damaged Egg Mobile from his yelp. Cubot in the background behind Orbot was struggling to push one of the Eggpod's hover rings off of him, but of course due to his size it was too heavy. Orbot raised a finger, "Welcome back to the world of the living. We were starting to worry that you might have actually–"

Orbot didn't get to finish his sentence as Eggman gave him a whack to the head, causing him to close up and land on the ground, "SILENCE!"

Eggman stood up from the ground, brushing off dust from his suit. Taking a look around, he saw that wherever he ended up, he was in a yard full of damaged and/or completely totaled cars and trucks. Some of the vehicles were in piles of complete scrap and metal while others were stacked on top of each other. However, he was surprised to see that a number of his advanced Badnik vehicles and even a truck from his arsenal was around. Somehow, they must have been caught in the gravity of the dimensional vortex before it closed off.

Eggman put a finger on his chin, putting himself into some thought. After a moment, he turned back around to examine his damaged Eggpod. He noticed that the hover rings had been easily taken off, but given how he designed his technology with his IQ of 300, he could probably put it back together. As long as he had the tools to help him.

Cubot continued to struggle getting himself off of the hover ring from the Eggpod, until Eggman walked over to him and lifted the ring just enough for the cube-shaped robot to crawl his way out. After the doctor put the ring back down, he pointed at his Egg Mobile, "Cubot, check the storage and see if the toolbox is still there."

Wasting no time, Cubot saluted and approached the Egg Mobile, "You got it, boss."

As Cubot went to search for the toolbox, Eggman looked around and realized the debris of his technology from the teleporter back at his headquarters. Along with all of his equipment that arrived as well. The truck could be useful for hiding and repairing his Eggpod along with storing his drones while having his Badnik vehicles following behind.

Of course there was something much bigger in mind than the current situation; a certain someone who had always stood in the doctor's way ever since he planned complete world domination, Sonic. Eggman had created the dimensional rift with the sole purpose of sending the hedgehog away from Mobius forever. But if he had been dragged into the dimensional wormhole and had survived the event… "Then there's no doubt that he survived as well."

While Eggman was thinking of what to plan, something caught his attention; a faint glow of purple, green, white and blue from underneath a small pile of scrap. The doctor recognized that glow and rushed over to the pile scrap, kneeling down and digging through to see what was causing the glow. Once he lifted the last piece of a broken car door out of the way, he found what he was looking for and a nefarious grin appeared on his face; four of the Chaos Emeralds. Particularly the green, blue, purple and white Emeralds.

Eggman reached down and picked up the blue Chaos Emerald. He held it in his hand and glanced at it, looking at its bright glow with particles of sparkles from inside and seeing his reflection on it. His wicked grin grew slightly as his mind started to delve deep into thought about what he could do, quietly muttering to himself, "Well, Sonic… even if you have the other three Chaos Emeralds, you won't be able to stand a chance. Wherever you are in this world, I will find you. I will break you. And I will destroy you."

Eggman slowly turned around with the four Chaos Emeralds in hand. Mentally focused, he began tapping in their energy, the particles crackling and the aura flashing around him. His sinister grin grew further as he spoke with his voice slightly distorted, "Let's find the best location and begin construction for the new base…"
