Goldenwing ran around in the meadow, she didn't know where she was but she felt the need to run around from all her newly found energy. Goldenwing heard a voice in her ear, the voice meowing " The cliff, the cliff needs the protection, or it will be stolen by the spruce."

Goldenwing's eyes shot open, she was no longer in a meadow, she was in her moss bed. Flamestorm meowed " Stop kicking me Goldenwing!"

Goldenwing meowed " Sorry!"

Goldenwing thought to herself, " I should tell the medicine cat."

She padded over to the medicine den, Goldenwing meowed " Mintberry! Where are you!"

Mintberry padded back from putting away herbs. Mintberry meowed " What do you need Goldenwing?"

Goldenwing meowed, " I think I had a vision."

Mintberry's eyes went wide, Mintberry meowed " We got to tell the leader! Come on."

Mintberry and Goldenwing padded to the leader's den. Cliffstar meowed " Mintberry? Why have you come?"

Mintberry meowed " Goldenwing had a vision."

Cliffstar's eyes went wide and then meows " What was your vision Goldenwing?"

Goldenwing meowed " I was running in a meadow, I heard a voice that said the cliff, the cliff needs protection, or it will be stolen by the spruce."

Cliffstar looked at Mintberry, Mintberry glanced at Cliffstar. Cliffstar meowed " We have to set up a giant patrol now, all warriors will be at the end of the cliff."

Cliffstar darted to the great rocky hill and jumped on top. Cliffstar yowled " All warriors must go to the end of the cliff and be prepared to fight!"

Many warriors flooded into the clearing and out the entrance. They ran to the end of the cliff with freshkill and ate to get some strength. They waited for an enemy to attack. Volefang sat next to Lavenderthroat. Volefang meowed " Go back to camp, you have kits. Just make sure to hide in the elders' den just in case."

Lavenderthroat nodded and ran back to camp. Volefang's nose filled with the scent of Spruceclan. Sprucestar froze and so did his warriors. Sprucestar meowed " Cliffstar, what are you and your warriors doing here?"

Cliffstar hissed " Waiting for you."

Cliffstar padded up face to face with Sprucestar and lashed her tail side to side. Spruceclan warriors padded forwards about to attack, but Sprucestar signaled his warriors to back up with his tail. They backed up and Cliffstar meowed " Why are you here."

Spucestar meowed, " We want the cliff."

Cliffstar backed up behind her warriors and hissed " Well you aren't getting it!"

Cliffstar signaled her warriors to attack. Warriors ran at each other with anger in their eyes. Goldenwing looked around frantically, she then saw Poppyheart with a pale striped tom attacking her. Goldenwing ran up from behind the tom and shoved him to the ground. Goldenwing pounced on him about to bite into his throat, and the tom yowled " Please don't kill me! I have kits, a mate, and a whole family!"

Goldenwings eyes filled with sympathy then she hissed " If I let you go you better run back to your camp and never come back."

The tom nodded and Goldenwing got off him. The pale striped tom darted away to his camp without looking back. Goldenwing looked back at Poppyheart as she panted. Poppyheart meowed " Why, why did you let him go?"

Goldenwing meowed " He has a family, his family doesn't deserve to lose a family member."

Poppyheart looked at Goldenwing, Goldenwing meowed " Cover me, I have an idea."

Goldenwing padded sneakily to Sprucestar and picked him up by the scruff. She ran to the edge of the cliff, she yowled " Stop for two seconds!"

The warriors stopped and stared at Goldenwing. Goldenwing had Sprucestar dangling at the cliff, Goldenwing hissed " If you don't leave your leader will hit the floor and become crowfood!"

Gasps were heard from the cats, one brown she-cat darted towards her but Poppyheart hit her to the ground. Goldenwing hissed " So what's it going to be? Your leader, or a fight."

Spruceclan cats ran back to camp rather than one, The one cat meowed " I will take Sprucestar back to camp."

Goldenwing put Sprucestar on the ground and shoved him to the one cat. The two cats ran back to their camp. Cliffstar padded to Spidercloud, she sat down and sobbed by his lifeless body. Mintberry ran and scooped him up. A few hours later Mintberry came out, he grinned at Cliffstar and meowed " Cliffstar, I did it!"

Cliffstar darted into the medicine den. Spidercloud was laying down at a moss bed, Mintberry meowed " He is luckily alive, he will have to be here for about two moons though."

Cliffstar nodded and sat next to Spidercloud and meowed " How are you feeling?"

Spidercloud meowed, " My limbs hurt, and I'm starving."

Cliffstar nodded and left, she came back with freshkill and gave him a bat. He meowed

" Thankyou."

Cliffstar fell asleep next to Spidercloud. Cliffstar looked around a twoleg place near the cliff. She saw a kittypet with a pink bow on her neck. The kittypet's bow fell off and they suddenly were on the cliff in was looking down upon the kittypet from the great rocky hill. The kittypet's eyes gleamed with joy, then she was suddenly in front of the kittypet, the kittypet was giant and fury burned in their eyes. The kittypet pounced at Cliffstar and bit down on her throat, Goldenwing and Flamestorm padded in the den, Goldenwing ran over and knocked the kittypet to the floor. Cliffstar felt cold and Flamestorm picked her up and ran to the medicine den. Cliffstar then woke up, she looked around frantically and saw Spidercloud was still asleep, she was going to wake him up but decided against it. Cliffstar padded outside and looked up in the sky, it was midnight. She heard the other cats snore and purr, she jumped upon the great rock she looked up in the sky and at the moon. She wondered to herself " Was it just a dream or a vision?"

She fell asleep upon her great rocky hill.
