Accidental Serving
Chapter 3
Author Notes: I FINALLY got to the final chapter phew! And without a moment to lose~ Really glad Sen was able to help me find a fandom to put this little idea in because we had this idea twirling in the back of my mind since easter.
Of course by that point I had already done the one shots needed for that particular so it's been long overdue. Now let's finish this before I start pulling out hairs. We do not own deltarune.
Last time on Accidental Serving...
Allowing chocobun(yeah that's a good name) to hope on her shoulder so they could both peer into the book of recipes together. "Ohhh let's dive away from the sweets and make this. It's vanilla shake with various chocolates shaped as halloween themes with blood candy coated rim."
That...actually sounded pretty good. "Ok, so what do I do?" Making the chocolate shaped pumpkins, spiders and eyeballs wouldn't be a problem. "You're the chef, Miss. I can tell you the recipe, but in the end you're the one making it." She's made hundreds of those before.
The blood candy coated rim wasn't something she was familiar with, but from the instructions and pictures showed, it wouldn't be too difficult. The biggest thing was making sure the shake itself tasted good. "I'll be careful this time." Both of their faces winced at the thought of a sentient shake. "Please do."
3rd P.O.V
The banner was up. All of the silverware and white napkins were replaced with black and orange colored versions, and all of the desserts Mako and her boss had been slaving over the last few days were out and ready to be served.
"N-now you'll protect me from any hungry darkners and lightners right Miss.?" Even her milkshakes which were still chilling nicely in the fridge came out pretty good-with no added ingredients this time. A smile formed as the dressed up doll smiled.
Holding chocobun close to her chest. "Yeah. There's only one person who I think will be a problem and I'll be sure to keep her far away from you." Susie was a bottomless pit. But Mako was positive that the purple monster would be going through all of the head chef's stuff, first.
He wasn't ready for her the first time he met her. This time he went above and beyond to make sure she would be filled and satisfied. No more dine and dash runs(here's to hoping Susie keeps her promise.)
"Good. And when your employer arrives, I'll be sure to back you up in turn." That made her sigh in relief. "You know-I think this will be the start of a beautiful relationship." At first Mako was a panicking scrambled mess when she realized she turned her chocobun to life.
But honestly now that she's spent the last few hours with them, she's gotta say she appreciated the company and support. "Indeed. I wish to be your companion in your future endeavors." Those words would be tested as they both heard the sound of humming.
Her boss was back. "Ma chérie I have returned~" The moment of truth, she walked out of the kitchen with the tray of drinks, her edible friend sitting comfortably on her shoulder. "W-welcome back sir! How does the decorations look?"
She could feel butterflies in her stomach as she watched him. He was humming with narrowed eyes. Taking in every detail of decoration, each display of their pastries before analyzing the newest addition to her shoulder.
Her fingers twitched as she stood there, waiting. His eyes scoured over to the cake that he had her decorate when he left. "Mako." Chocobun felt the girl freeze beneath her. "Y-yes sir?" Now both rabbit and darkner was nervous as they saw his expression turn stern.
"Well done!" It took a moment for the words to breach through Mako's mind. And even when it did, she still blinked. "What?" At that her boss laughed. "I said well done! Incroyable if I do say so. Decorations, the cakes, and milkshakes. Even your petit ami looks fantastic!" At that she hunched her shoulders.
Chocobun bounced a bit from the movement, but still stayed right where they were. "I can explain sir-it was an accident-" He laughed again, waving his hand. "Oui oui, we've all made mistakes. A bit too much magic powder, but pas d'inquiétudes à avoir."
She sagged, relieved. She had her job for another day. "Now let's get things rolling. There's une fête to ready for! Go get changed, dépêche toi." Without anymore prompting she ran back into the kitchen to grab her costume before making her way into the bathroom.
Chocobun bounced off during her creator's dash to bow to the chef. "Thank you for being so lenient with this. She was rather anxious you were going to fire her." A smile formed on the baker's face as he kneeled down.
"Pas du tout. She's a wonderful worker. I just wish she was more sur de soi with herself." Together the pair glance off to the closed off kitchen, hearing the sound of a door slamming shut. "Now did she vous avertir of the purple skinned terror that will soon entrer?" A shudder went through the both of them.
They could feel it. She was coming. "I was warned that there was a guest that would potentially cause me trouble. Mako promised to protect me from their hungry clutches." It would not be long now. "Good. If need be va te cacher upstairs in my room." They shared a gaze full of understanding.
Even if the boss somehow found himself angry with Mako's mistake, he would do all that he could to protect the little frankenbunny. No one deserved to suffer under the purple monster's appetite. Whether her behavior was hostile or messy... "I appreciate it." They would be prepared. "It's time."

Author Notes: Ok people that is it for the three shot. It thankfully didn't take me all that long and it's been awhile since I was so invested in typing something for the holidays. As per usual folks for this little series we got some french translations down below.
Again it is a combination of google translate as well as some of my notes from when I took french. Here's to hoping it's accurate lol. But that is it for now folks. Thanks to everyone for reading.
