•Bloody Mary; Part Two•

Zoe ran in front of the adults and entered the library first. It was a little fake for the time of day. She stood exactly in one spot until her parents and uncle came.

"Damn, it's dark," Emilia pointed out. She looked over at the light switches, the one in the middle had a paper over it. It read "out of order." Em rolled her eyes. Zoe grabbed her mother's hand once she noticed the kid's section.

"You can go baby, we'll be right over there!" The mother pointed at the section that should have computers. "I'll be able to see you from there."

The trio walked as they talked, heading to the town's history section. Emilia was sure to keep an eye on her child. The little girl pulled out the library's coloring book and started on a page.

"All right, say Bloody Mary really is haunting this town. There's gonna be some sort of proof—Like a local woman who died nasty." Dean said.

"Yeah but a legend this widespread it's hard. I mean, there's like 50 versions of who she actually is. One story says she's a witch, another says she's a mutilated bride, there's a lot more." Sam described what he has already read and what he knew.

They walked into the section the needed the most.

"All right so what are we supposed to be looking for?" Dean asked.

"Every version's got a few things in common.," Emilia said as she looped her arm around Dean's arm. "It's always a woman named Mary, and she always dies right in front of a mirror."

"So we've gotta search local newspapers—public records as far back as they go. See if we can find a Mary who fits the bill." Sam said.

"Well that sounds annoying" Dean groaned slightly looking between his brother and girl.

"No it won't be so bad, as long as we..." Sam looked at the computers which all said "Out of Order" on them. He chuckled "I take it back. This will be very annoying."

"Why don't we grab what we can, pick up some dinner, and head back to the motel to do some digging," Em suggested.

The boys agreed. They gathered local news clippings dated back from the pass 20 years. Dean walked over to Zoella and picked her up from behind and left kisses on her cheek. "Grub time baby!" She squealed from the prickles of her dad's facial hair, it tickled her.

Dean and Emilia sat at the side table in their motel room. They've been up all night researching.

Zoe was a little hyper after she ate her breakfast so Sam was on "zozo" duty. She must have worn him out because they were both asleep on one of the beds. Zoe's little head laid on Sam's arm as she held her teddy bear close.

"Look at them. Like kids." Emilia said with a grin. She pulled out her phone and took a picture, she immediately sent it to her email. "I'll make a print out one day."

Dean smiled at her. That was another thing he admired about her. She always wanted to make and save memories. She has pictures from when she was pregnant and pictures of tiny Zoella. Every time he sees it, it allowed him to go back in time and cherish the moments with his ladies.

He then looked at Sam again and frowned. "I don't know what I'm going to do about Sam."

"He's grieving. It's only been like 3 months, Dean."

"Yeah," Dean leaned back in his seat. "3 months of him not sleeping, the nightmares, the staring off into nothing."

"Dean–"

"Not to mention, we barely have sex."

Emilia smiled. There it was. "We could try to have sex more often."

"Oh yeah, how?"

She grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers. "We could always sneak out to the impala."

Dean's ears perked up. "Right now? I think we got like 10 minutes, maybe 15."

"It's daylight, Dean."

"So? We can park behind the motel."

Before she could respond, Sam gasped as he opened his eyes. Dean leaned the back of his head against the wall.

"So close," he whispered referring to some adult time with his long term girlfriend. Emilia grinned and shook her head at him.

"Why did you both let me fall asleep?" Sam asked the two other hunters.

"Cause I'm an awesome brother." Dean answered.

"You were so cute as Zoe's life size teddy bear." Emilia told him. Sam gently scooted his arm from under the little girl, careful not to disturb her.

"So what did you dream about?" Dean asked.

"Lollipops and candy canes."

"Yeah, sure." Dean knew that wasn't true.

"Did y'all find anything?" The younger Winchester asked.

"Oh besides a whole new level of frustration?" Dean started. Sam sat up from his position on the bed. "No. I've looked at everything. A few local women, a Laura and a Catherine committed suicide in front of a mirror."

"Ooo, and a giant mirror fell on a guy named Dave, but, no Mary." Emilia chimed in.

Sam fell back on the bed, his eyes glued to the ceiling. "Maybe we just haven't found it yet."

"We've also been searching for strange deaths in the area, you know...eyeball bleeding, that sort of thing. There's nothing. Whatever's happening here, maybe it just ain't Mary."

"Or maybe we need to go back to Donna's, start from scratch." Emilia suggested.

Sam's cell phone rang. He answered it. "Hello?" Once he gathered info from whoever was on the other end, a look of concern came across Sam's face.

They met Charlie, Donna's friend, at a park. Em gave Zoella some bubbles so the little girl was occupied with that while the trio listened to Charlie. The teen sat on the park bench and Em sat beside her. Sam and Dean stood there.

Em rubbed the teen's back as she cried, trying to comfort her.

"And they found her on the bathroom floor. And her—her eyes. They were gone." Charlie cried.

"I'm sorry." Sam told her.

"And she said it." Emilia looked up at Sam and Dean. "I heard her say it. But it couldn't be because of that. I'm insane, right?"

"No, you're not insane." Dean stated.

"Oh God, that makes me feel so much worse." The teen continued to cry.

"Charlie, we think something's happening here." Emilia vocalized.

"Something that can't be explained." Sam added.

"And we're gonna stop it but we could use your help." Dean expressed.

Emilia sat in the driver's seat, Dean actually let her drive. She knew it was a ploy for later. This was Dean's way of flirting.

Emilia turned around to look at Zoe. She was out of her car seat. She sat by the window closest to Jill's house. She stared.

"Mommy," Zoella pointed at Jill's home. "The lady in the glass was here."

"How do you know?" Em asked.

"I can feel it. I can hear her, mommy." Zoella turned to her mom. She was scared. "Is she gonna get me?"

The mother wiped her tears that fell. "We would never let that happen, ever. Okay?"

Zoe sniffed. "Okay."

Emilia was sensing her dizzy-seeing spells happening again. She turned to face the steering wheel and that's when she saw something revealing itself to her.

~A black Toyota messily parks at Jill's home. Jill got out of the car in tears, she ran into the garage and cam out with cleaning supplies. She spray the front of the car and wiped it clean. The girl frantically looked around making sure no one saw her.~

"Hey babe, we got a black light right?" Dean asked once he got to the driver's window. Emilia turned to him and nodded.

"Yeah, in the trunk," Em gave him the car keys. Dean gave his girl a look over. She looked pale and exhausted.

"You okay Em?" He stuck his head in the window. She smiled and kissed him.

"I'm fine."

Dean looked at Zoe in the back. She was coloring in the book they bought her. "Sam and I will be down soon."

The next day they were back at the park, again on the bench. Emilia and Charlie were sitting on it. Dean was playing with Zoella by chasing her around. Sam walked up to the bench.

"So, Gary Bryman was an 8-year-old boy. Two years ago he was killed in a hit and run. The car was described as a black Toyota Camry. But nobody got the plates or saw the driver."

As soon as she heard the crime, the image of Jill last night made sense. Emilia shook her head.

"Oh my God." Charlie gasped.

"What?" Sam asked.

"Jill drove that car." Emilia said before Charlie could.

"How did you know that?" The teen was surprised.

"Going by your reaction. I'd say lucky guess." Em looked at Sam then at Charlie. "We need to get back to your friend Donna's house."

At Donna's, Sam and Dean were hunched over the back of the mirror with a black light. There was a handprint on it, and the name "Linda Shoemaker."

"Linda Shoemaker." Emilia read from her spot. "That makes sense." She recalled what Steven was doing in her vision.

Dean and Sam glanced at her. "We need to talk to Donna."

In the kitchen of her home, the Winchesters asked Donna about Linda.

"Why are you asking me this?" Donna shook her head. She frowned at their questions.

"Look, we're sorry, but it's important." Sam told her.

Donna sighed. "Yeah. Linda's my mom okay? She overdosed on sleeping pills, it was an accident, and that's it. I think you should leave."

"Now Donna, just listen." Dean tried to get the girl to understand.

"Get out of my house!" She yelled as she ran upstairs.

"Oh my God. Do you really think her dad could've killed her mom?" Charlie asked once Donna was out of hearing distance.

"Maybe." Emilia shrugged as she folded her arms.

"I think I should stick around." Charlie told them.

The hunters were getting ready to leave then Dean turned to her. "Alright. Whatever you do, don't—"

Charlie cut him off. "Believe me, I won't say it."

Zoella sat at the side table with her dad eating her dinner. Tonight's delight was chicken strips and broccoli from a fast food place.

"Zoe eat some vegetables," Dean told their child once he looked over the laptop and saw that her greens have barely been touched.

"I don't like eating trees daddy."

"Eat two trees and daddy will let you eat your cookie," Dean reasoned with the small child. Zoella thought about for a moment before nodding. She frowned ate one "tree". "It's good for you, ladybug."

Emilia came out of the bathroom, her hair still wet from her shower. "Wait, wait, wait, you're doing a nationwide search?" She asked Dean overhearing the brothers early before her shower.

"Yep. The NCIC, the FBI database—at this point any Mary who died in front of a mirror is good enough for me."

"But if she's haunting the town, she should have died in the town." Sam verbalized.

"I'm telling you there's nothing local, we've checked."

Em sighed. "Dean's right."

"So if you ladies got a better idea—"

"The way Mary's choosing her victims, it seems like there's a pattern." Sam said ignoring Dean calling him a girl.

"I know, I was thinking the same thing."

"With mister Shoemaker and Jill's hit and run." Emilia riddling out for either of the boys to catch on.

"Both had secrets where people died." Dean added, catching what Em was throwing.

Sam sat on his bed. "Right. I mean there's a lot of folklore about mirrors-that they reveal all your lies, all your secrets, that they're a true reflection of your soul, which is why it's bad luck to break them."

"Right, right. So maybe if you've got a secret, I mean like a really nasty one where someone died, then Mary sees it, and punishes you for it."

Sam seemed to be in thought but remained focus in the conversation. "Whether you're the one that summoned her or not."

"Take a look at this." Dean motioned to the other hunters. Emilia stood behind Dean. Sam leaned over from his spot on the bed. It was a woman lying by a mirror in a puddle of blood. Dean printed out another picture and handed it to Sam. The picture was of a handprint and the letters were "Tre".

"Looks like the same handprint." Sam said as he examined the photo.

"Her name was Mary Worthington—an unsolved murder in Fort Wayne, Indiana."

Emilia crossed her arms. "Road trip in the morning."
