Chapter 24 Jedi Crash
Sean was on his main cruiser with a meeting with members of the council.
"This deadlock we're in right now in getting tiresome. We need to start making bigger pushes into their territory." Tarkin said.
"I completely agree. But where is the question. Capturing small space is not worth the time and bigger areas are very well defended. Even with the UNSC we can't just go in with blunt force. We need to make plans and backup plans." Sean said.
"Indeed." Thrawn said.
"The main thing we need to do is find Hiroshi's more concerning factories and destroy them. That will turn the tide of the war in our favor." Carth said.
"Those factories are well hidden. We would need someone very connected to Hiroshi in order to find him." Sean said before an Alert came up.
"What is it?" Tarkin asked.
"It's Aayla's fleet. She's been ambushed by Sion's forces. I'm the closest there." Sean said ending his transmission. "Get there now!" Sean yelled.
"Right away." Forge said as the fleet went into hyperspace.
Meanwhile
Aayla's fleet was in pieces as Sion's fleet had destroyed her cruisers with very little effort on his part.
"Sean where are you?" Aayla asked.
Up above the Annihilator arrived from Hyper space above the planet.
"Any Task force members here?" Sean asked.
"Uh two. Members of the 75th Ranger Division." Forge said.
"Get them on the light cruiser as backup. Anakin, Turok, Ahsoka. Your with me, Korra and Forge." Sean said.
"I'll get Rex and some of the troops." Anakin said.
"Right." Sean said.
Arriving at the hangers they got onto a gunship before flying out to Aayla's.
"These droids look new." Anakin said seeing new Super Battle droids.
"Grapple Droids. I heard about these in new reports." Turok said as they flew to Aayla's cruiser before they landed down on it before Sean quickly cut in a hole right above Aayla and Bly.
"Nice of you to drop in." Aayla said smiling.
"You know us." Korra said as she airbends the droids back.
"How do you plan to get us out of this mess?" Aayla asked as they rushed off.
"Simple. I got a ship docking in the lower hanger." Sean said.
Down below said ship just attached.
"Ship fully secured commander." Sargent Foley said.
"Better get here fast." Corporal Dunn said.
Sean and the others rushed to the ship before an explosion went off making Anakin stop seeing it heading to them.
"It's too late!" Anakin yelled pushing them forward.
"Master!" Ahsoka yelled as the doors closed while Anakin tried to contain the blast before it blew him back into the wall.
"Hold your position!" Sean yelled prying the doors open and saw him knocked out before pulling him inside.
"He'll be ok if we get him on the Annihilator." Korra said.
"I'm gonna turn on the defelector shields!" Bly yelled as they flew off the ship to Sean's flagship.
"You won't be able to dock in the middle of this battle." Garrick said.
"We have no choice. General Skywalker's condition may be critical. We must get aboard the Annihilator." Aayla said.
"Most all Jedi be so reckless?" Garrick asked.
"Just the good ones." Aayla joked before they took a hit and killed the pilot.
"The Hyperdrive is activated." Sean said.
"Shut it down!" Aayla yelled.
"I can't! Take Evasive Maneuvers." Sean said getting the Annihilator to do just that as they went into hyperspace.
Later
Ahsoka sat next to Anakin as he was in the medical room recovering when Aayla walked in.
"I need you with Commander Bly on the bridge right now." Aayla said.
"I should stay. Commander Bly doesn't need my help. Anakin does." Ahsoka said.
"You can help Anakin by getting this ship to safety." Aayla said as Sean walked in.
"We got a new problem." Sean said.
"What is it?" Aayla asked.
"When we got hit the Navicomputer inputed random coordinates. And those coordinates have us heading right for a star." Sean said showing their heading before they rushed to the bridge.
Korra and Turok were trying to fix it but nothing was working.
"It's no use. We can't do it this way. The only way to stop this is to shut everything down and reboot." Turok said.
"That will take off Anakin's life support." Ahsoka said.
"No choice. On my signal I want the power off so we can go around the star to the nearest planet." Sean said.
"On it." Korra said as they readied themselves.
"Now." Sean said as Korra turned the power off and they appeared right in front of the start.
"Switch it back on." Aayla said before Bly hit Korra in the back making her use the force to do so and they moved right past the star.
"Well, we're not gonna hit the star but were definitly gonna hit that planet." Ahsoka said.
Coming down hard the ship crashed onto the ground before everyone rushed out.
"I think your learning to be too much like Anakin when it comes to crashing ships." Sean joked with a chuckle.
"Oh like Jinora is such a perfect example considering you knocked her up." Ahsoka said.
"That was before for your information. And at least she has a love life. What do you have?" Sean teased making her sputter as Aayla giggled.
"Don't argue with him. Your just gonna lose." Aayla said as she sighed.
"Now then." Sean said looking around.
Setting up camp Anakin was in tent with Korra treating him.
"He should be fine but we really should see if theres someone else here who can help us." Korra said.
"All right. I'll stay with Rex and the rest of you go look for someone." Ahsoka said.
"No, You need to come with us." Sean said.
"I can't just leave him. Sean, if I was hurt I know Master Skywalker would never leave me." Ahsoka said.
"I know that. But right now this isn't a discussion. We're going." Sean said making her sigh. "Sargent Foley." Sean said getting his attention. "You and Corporal Dunn will stay with Captain Rex till we get back." Sean said.
"Understood, sir." Foley said before they left to find help.
Later
"I sense your concerns for Anakin." Sean said to Ahsoka.
"It's just...I get confused some times. I remember the Jedi back then before you were found weren't supposed to form attachments...Yet we're supposed to be compassionate." Ahsoka said.
"It's nothing to be Ashamed of. Korra went through the same thing with Dooku back then." Sean said.
"She did?" Ahsoka asked.
"He was like a Grandfather to her. But she learned for the greater good she had to let him go when he left the order when she became a knight. Many Jedi apprentices feel this way with their masters and probably always have. But letting go is a difficult challenge. We're still living beings. And it's in our nature to form our attachments. But in my view those attachments are what give us strength." Sean said.
"Is that why your so strong today?" Ahsoka asked making him chuckle.
"Partially. My resolve and my commitment to protect what I have here and now is part of the reason. Training is part of it as well. The losses I've endured have...Somewhat damaged my connection to the force. But I still push on to protect what I have. One day I'll have my full connection back." Sean said.
Later
After hours of traveling they finally arrived at a village.
"We made it." Sean said as they walked into the village seeing small species before their leader approached them.
"What have you come here for?"
"We are Jedi of the Legion. Our ship crashed back a few miles and one of us is badly injured." Aayla said.
"Violence breeds violence. Jedi are no peacekeepers."
"It's not like we wanted to be part of this war. The Sith want nothing less than total control and don't care how many innocent people die. Are you saying we should just stand aside and let them?" Sean asked making him frown.
"I didn't mean that. But violence is not the answer."
"It is with them. I would know. I've seen enough of their cruelty to know they will not talk things out peacefully. It's in their nature to harm others. While ours is to protect the innocent. But thats not the issue right now. One of us desperatly needs help. And I don't think your the kind of leader to ignore a plea for help." Sean said making him sigh.
"No I cannot. I will send my son Wag too. He is a healer. But one of you must stay as insurance incase of a surprise attack on our village."
"I'll stay. You all get going." Sean said as Korra and the others rushed back to Anakin.
After they left the Leader Kaa took him in his hut.
"Here. It will replenish your energy." Kaa said as Sean took his mask off to drink.
"Thank you." Sean said as he turned to leave. "You know your being kinda unfair about us being part of the war." Sean said.
"And how am I being unfair?" Kaa asked curious.
"The Sith are the ones who started this war because they want to control the galaxy. They've done this before. Nearly 6 years ago they attacked the temple and killed several Jedi...Many of my friends right in front of me. And felt no remorse. And before it began they tortured my mother for countless years for amusement. Does that sound like the kind of people you talk peacefully to?" Sean asked making him frown.
"No. But the idea of fighting is beneath me. Fighting for something doesn't necessarily mean you have to destroy everything in your path." Kaa said.
"Thats true on certain points. However sometimes you have to fight for the right reasons. Allow me to ask you this. If you had a choice to fight to keep your village safe. Would you...Or would you stick by your views even if it meant watching your village die knowing you had a chance to stop it?" Sean asked making him sigh.
"Thats not something one like me could answer easily." Kaa said.
"Then you see my point. It all depends on the person in question. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to protect what I have. Even if it means breaking my beliefs." Sean said.
Later
Anakin was resting up after he and the rest arrived at the village.
"Thanks for saving me...Again." Aayla said making Sean smirk.
"You know one of these days I'm gonna start charging for every time I save one of you." Sean said making her grin.
"Oh? Charge what exactly?" Aayla asked making him smirk.
"Oh you'll find out soon enough." Sean said making her giggle before leaning on his shoulder.
"When we get back sure." Aayla said.
Later
Forge and the rest of the men were keeping an eye out in the village for either friendly reinforcements or enemy arrivals.
Sean was with Anakin right now as both Wag Too and Korra helped heal him.
"Your unbelievable you know that?" Sean asked making him snort.
"Hey, you got injured before too." Anakin said.
"Yeah but I heal in seconds. One of the perks of having all the DNA of every species in the galaxy." Sean said making him scoff.
"So how long till he's fully healed?" Ahsoka asked.
"At this rate and with current medical supplies...2 weeks." Korra said.
"Great." Anakin said before Forge walked in.
"We got a situation. Theirs an enemy drop ship coming in." Forge said.
"This is Neutral space." Wag Too said.
"The Empire doesn't care about Neutrality. They came here for a reason." Sean said as Kaa walked in.
"What menece have you brought to our village?" Kaa asked.
"I don't think this has anything to do with us exactly. Was their any insignia or anything on this ship?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. Hiroshi's division." Forge said.
"So thats what this is about. They didn't come for us. They came to test a new weapon. On you people." Sean said shocking them.
"Us? Why?" Kaa asked.
"A remote area where no one comes around that much? Perfect spot to test a new weapon of destruction." Sean said.
"Lets get going." Korra said helping Anakin up.
"I'll see if I can keep them busy for as long as I can." Kaa said leaving.
Getting out of the village they saw droids shooting up the place.
"Why are they attacking?" Ahsoka asked.
"To send a message. Hiroshi sent this unit for a reason. We need to find out what that is and fast." Sean said.
"You thinking he's made a new weapon again?" Korra asked.
"No doubt about it. But we need to find out what that is before he uses it." Sean said.
Later
Sean and the rest were in a tree seeing the base the Empire made.
"What do we have here?" Rex asked seeing some kind of new tank.
"The Hiroshi we knew on our Earth never made weapons this dangerous. He pretty much surrendered after Cinder was killed." Foley said.
"Every universe is different." Sean said before seeing two droids walk out into the distance.
"What are they doing?" Ahsoka asked.
"I don't know. But something is up." Sean said before the new weapon fired some mortar shot.
"Oh this can't be good." Anakin said seeing it come right back down before creating an incendiary blast that killed anything organic.
"Oh my god. Thats not good. Anything not made of metal is killed by that thing. And most of the empire's army is all droids." Korra said.
"This is most likely a test of this new weapon. Which is why they came here. Their network must have led them here to the village and decided to fully test it out on them." Sean said.
"We can't let that happen." Dunn said.
"We won't. First we need to take that base and find anything useful." Sean said.
"Good idea." Aayla said.
Later
Using a ship to come back to the village they landed and got out.
"Everyone listen now. The Droid army is heading back here." Sean said.
"What are you doing here? I told you not to return." Kaa said angered.
"The Empire is on their way back. They plan to level this village to test a new weapon on all of you. We won't let that happen." Sean said making him sigh.
"We have some shield generators so it will protect the village for a short while." Korra said as Rex and Bly set them up.
Not far from the village the Droid army was just outside.
"Uh sir. It looks like the village has set up a shield around them." A droid said.
"What?" Lok Durd asked taking a closer look. "Kruger. What is he doing here? No matter. Hiroshi will give me a nice promotion for capturing him." Lok Durd said. (Yeah right)
"Their holding position." Forge said.
"They'll try to take us with numbers first." Sean said before seeing the droid army rushing in.
"Here we go." Korra said pulling out her lightsaber while Sean did the same before they charged right in while Forge and the others fired from their position.
In only a minute the first wave was destroyed easily.
"That wasn't so tough." Ahsoka said.
"That was just the first wave." Sean said as more droids showed up before Korra sent an Earth wave at them knocking them all down before Sean used force lightning on them.
"NO! RUN AWAY!" Lok Durd said as they tried to run away but the droids got shot down before he was levitated up by Sean making him groan. "There goes my promotion." Lok Durd said depressed.
"Well, that was anti climatic." Sean said.
Later
Lot Durd was now in Legion Costody spilling secrets of Hiroshi's operations and weapon designs.
"Welp now we caught a break on Hiroshi's operations. This will deal a blow to him since now we know where most of his factories are." Sean said.
"Indeed. However his more concerning ones are still out of our reach at the moment." Tarkin said.
"We'll find them soon enough." Carth said as Sean left.
Later
Sean arrived in his home after checking on the kids.
"Kept me waiting long enough."
"Huh?" Sean asked before seeing Aayla completely nude making him chuckle. "Oh yeah that's right." Sean said getting in bed with her making her smile.
"I think after the hell we went through we deserve this." Aayla said taking his robes off till he was as bare as she was before he kissed her making her moan into his mouth.
