Didn't really know what to call this chapter lol

The stand-in name is "Flowers for Preteens" but I'm open to suggestions if y'all have any.

This takes place right after "Isabela's Dangerous Room" So I might move it there at some point.

Flowers for Preteens

While she didn't like all the kids in her room, Isabella did like the attention it gave her.

Since Isa (and the town) replaced all the "dangerous" plants and furniture with soft, comfy petals, Abuela decided Isa's room was probably the safest place in the Encanto. So, Isa's room went from "no kids allowed" to "bring all your kids here".

So they did. A trio of moms were watching the horde of kids that came to Isabella's room. Practically everyone was there. They all wanted to see the new room and the changes they made for it.

"Hey Isabella! I like your new new room!" Some boy- Bobo complimented.

"Thanks!" Isa smiled.

Isabella heard someone shout "Best room ever!" while they rolled down a hilly slope of flower petals. She chuckled to herself and walked to who she really wanted to hang out with, Daniela and her group of older kids.

She came to Daniela's side (the opposite side of the fishbowl bag) and asked, "So what do you think of the new room?"

"Well" Daniela thought for a moment, her arms crossed. "it's very pink and flowery"

"What happened to the old room?" The ten-year-old Tina asked, "The one with grass and trees n stuff?"

"This is it!" Isabela put both her hands out to her room.

"What?!" Tina looked out. "It's the same room? You changed it?"

"No way" Carlos (13) said. "I mean- I knew they wanted to get rid of some of the old plants, but changing the whole room?"

"Yeah, my abuela thought the old plants were too dangerous. So we had to change them. Adults, right?" Isa said all cool and like a teen, earning a chuckle from Carlos. She continued "Anyway, I made all the flowers."

"Wait, you made all the flowers?" Daniela asked, looking between Isa and her room, uncrossing her arms.

"Yep! Like this!" Isabela stepped back and twirled with her arms out. She made petals come out of her fingertips. A circle of pink and purple petals piled around her.

"Woah that's so cool!" Tina said.

"I wish I had powers" Carlos groaned.

Daniela's face hardened. She put a hand over the latch of her bag, ready to take out the fishbowl of the dead Mr. Goldie. She often used it to explain how Bruno- and the gifts- could be evil.

Isabela, oblivious to Daniela's thoughts, was giving flowers to the pre-teens. Tina sniffed her bouquet of lilies and daffodils happily. Carlos interrupted that with the 'monster' bird of paradise he requested.

"And these are for you" Isa extended a bouquet to Daniela. "I know you don't like pink as much."

Daniela look the flowers, they were mostly whites, oranges, and a little red. Somehow Isabela even made a few black flowers. Daniela took the bouquet letting go of her bag. "They're very pretty" She commented.

Isabela beamed at the compliment. Ran to another group of kids, shouting "Who wants flowers?"

Daniela chuckled to herself. What was she thinking? Isabela's gift is flowers; she'll be good, like Julieta.

Sorry for the short chapter after such a long wait. I was planning for it to be longer (and bit different). But I realized there might be a slightly better way to do this whole timeline thing so we get more characters doing stuff and not just Isabela for a while.

Speaking of, what characters do you want to see more of? Any scenarios you want me to write? Might not get to write them soon, especially if I want them to be included in the main 'plot'/timeline of the story, but any ideas are helpful in getting this moving.
