Chapter 6
Once they are back in Kanto, Ash introduces all of the new companions to Queen Ilene and Professor Keith. Colress is interested in Keith's works as they have been chatting a lot, while the others are looking around the area.
Queen Ilene says, "Ash, do you know that the new Kanto League is approaching two weeks?"
Ash asks, "What about it?"
"You see, the former Kanto Champion is your mother, who died because of Team Rocket's attack. Right now Kanto doesn't have a Champion, and the PLA decides to abandon Kanto."
"Abandon Kanto? But why? What did Kanto do?" Ash says with slight anger. "It must be Team Rocket's doing, right?"
"With the deaths of both Ash Ketchum and Delia Ketchum, the Kanto Region has been in a downfall, and with Team Rocket escaping their sights for almost a year, they have no choice but to give up." Ilene says. "And that's why I need you to challenge the League. We can't have any member of Team Rocket getting the throne of the Kanto Champion."
"But where am I going to get the gym badges to challenge the League?" Ash asks. "Of course, I don't want any Team Rocket member to become the Champion, I won't make it in time..."
"Don't worry, our soldiers manage to gather all 8 badges that aren't registered for your use." Ilene says as he shows a suitcase with the badges inside.
"Is it legal to use them?" Ash asks.
"Since the PLA has already left, they aren't going to make a tournament. So you can use these badges to just challenge the Elite Four and get the Champion Title."
"I see...Then I'll do it, I'll become the Kanto Champion and PLA will regret abandoning us." Ash says.
"Are you sure you're going to do this, Ash?" Lillie asks with concern.
"Yeah, you used to refuse given-away badges..." Nate says.
"Time has changed." Ash says, "I was immature back then, and I am not going to let Team Rocket get what they want."
And with the new badges, Ash challenges the Elite Four of Kanto and eventually becomes the first Champion who actually beats all 4 of them. And since PLA doesn't care about the Kanto League anymore, Ash is able to remain mysterious.
Gary is now at the Viridian Gym as he is meeting with his girlfriend Leaf. Leaf says, "Have you heard of the news, Gary? It seems that Kanto is having a new Champion."
"Really? Who is the new Champion?" Gary asks, still depressed.
"It is said that the Champion is unknown, but he is the first one since the former Champion died that manages to defeat the Elite Four." Leaf says, noticing the frown, she asks, "You're thinking about Ash again, right?"
"Yeah... Team Rocket is still out there, and the PLA abandoned Kanto because of it...they never found where Team Rocket is hiding." Gary says.
And in the Viridian Forest, a red-haired boy and a yellow-haired girl are walking. The girl says, "Um... Silver, are you sure that Team Rocket is somewhere in Viridian Forest?"
"This is where they're last found." Silver says, "I still don't know why are you trying to follow me, Yellow. You don't need to get dragged into this. I am supposed to be the one that destroys Team Rocket."
"But you can't do it alone, I want to help as well." Yellow says in determination.
"Fine... just don't get in my way." Silver says as they leave together.
In the private plane, Ash is now in the pilot's seat and he says, "It is nice for you to fly for us, East. How long have you been flying a plane?"
The pilot named East says, "I've been flying for 3 years, Prince Ash. I learned how to fly thanks to my mother."
"I see." Ash says, "Land at Pallet Town, I have something that I need to do there."
East says, "Of course, stay safe on your journeys, Prince Ash."
Then Ash leaves the plane and teleports in front of the house, which has nothing left except for three graves, one belonged to his mother, one belonged to Pikachu, and the other one belonged to him.
"Mother... Pikachu..." Ash kneels in front of them. "I have become the Kanto Champion in your place... I hope you two are still watching over me..."
"Hello..." Ash suddenly looks up and finds a Pichu peeking behind the grave of Pikachu.
"A Pichu?" Ash asks, "Are you lost?"
Pichu shakes his head and says, "Are you a Pokemon Trainer?"
Ash stares at the Pichu and says, "I am a Pokemon Trainer, but what are you doing here? This isn't a place where Pichu belongs..."
Pichu shrugs and says, "I just ran and I found you here. The gravestones... you're familiar with it?"
Ash frowns, "Yeah... this was my mother, my Pikachu, and... myself."
"Yourself? Are you a ghost?" Pichu asks horrified.
"No, in other people's eyes, I'm dead, but I escaped death and this is why I'm here..." Ash says.
Pichu feels sorry for Ash, "Did you say a Pikachu... is he your best friend?"
"Yeah... he was my first partner and we have been together for 8 years, but he has to be killed..." Ash says with tears starting to form.
Pichu rushes to Ash and nuzzles him, trying to cheer him up. "Thanks... I needed it."
The woman gets angry and says, "Is that how you talk to your parents? Where are your manners?"
"Why would I show my manners to you two?" Insey says with a cold tone. "You guys are poachers who don't care about their own children!"
Ash and Pichu perk up at the noise as they see a girl being grabbed by a man, "Let go of me!"
"You have some nerve to call us something like that. We are not poachers. These Pokemon are for Team Wither!"
"So you're Team Wither?" Ash suddenly stands up and jumps in front of them. "Finally an opponent worth defeating."
"Who are you? Stay out of our family business." The woman says.
"I don't care about your family business. If you're with Team Wither, all you're going to get is death, and I mean it."
The girl is shocked as she looks at Ash before her parents, the man takes out a gun and tries to shoot at Ash, but Ash dodges and brings the girl behind the wall. He asks, "Are you their daughter?"
"I am Insey... they are poachers that kept destroying forests, I love Bug Type Pokemon but they..." Insey says, "They might have given birth to me, but they are not my parents."
"I see. So you don't mind if I kill them?" Ash asks.
Insey is frozen and she asks, "Are you perhaps a murderer?"
"You can say so, but I only murder those who are harming humanity, like one of the 18 groups, and unfortunately, Team Wither is one of them. If you want them alive, it is your choice."
Insey thinks for a while before saying, "Just do it... I don't care about them anymore..."
Ash smirks, "Gladly." Then Ash takes out a horn and then blows it, which causes Beedrill to fly in and attack the man, killing him in the process, and then he also uses String Shot to bind the woman before slashing her in half using the horn.
"How did you do that?" Insey asks in shock.
"Aura. Anyway, now that they're gone, what are you going to do?" Ash asks.
"I... can I come with you?" Insey asks, "Now that I don't have a family anymore..."
"Of course, you can." Ash says.
And after that, he takes Insey into the plane and also informs Queen Ilene that he is going to adopt a new sister. And much to their surprise, Pichu is also following Ash, and he says, "I know I can't replace your first partner, but I want to travel with you, is that okay?"
Ash hugs the Pichu and says, "Of course, you can, welcome to the team." Then he decides to capture the Pichu.
At Cerise Lab, Goh sees Chloe preparing to leave and he asks, "Are you going to look for Ash again?"
"I refuse to believe that he's dead. The mysterious Champion must have been Ash! I'm pretty sure of it." Chloe replies. "I want to demand some answers from him."
"How can you be so sure that the mysterious champion is Ash Ketchum?" Goh asks, "Maybe he is just another person who is a stranger to us."
"Then I'm still going to ask." Chloe says. "If he knows Ash, it will be better."
Chloe rushes away with Eevee following her, and Goh says, "Fine, Chloe. Wait for me!"
At the same time, Ash is now inside an abandoned Team Rocket Base, he says, "Damn it... we're too late! They're already gone!"
Insey says, "So this was Team Rocket's base? Brother Red?"
"Yeah... seems like Giovanni has already moved to another location... then all the information that I got from those people I killed is nothing..."
Just then, they notice an operating stasis tank, and there is a girl slightly older than Insey but younger than Ash unconscious in it. Insey asks, "A person?"
"Let's free her out." Ash says as he breaks the tank and the girl falls to the ground. She slowly opens her eyes and mutters, "Get away from me... don't hurt me..."
"Hey, we're not going to hurt you..." The girl notices the two of them and asks, "Where is Fath- no, Giovanni?"
Ash raises an eyebrow, and he says, "Team Rocket abandoned this place, we're also searching for them. Do you still remember who you are and what your name is?"
The girl nods and says, "My name is Minami, and I'm a child of a bastard man. That is, the leader of Team Rocket."
Ash is slightly angry at the mention of Giovanni, but he calms down a little and says, "My name is Red and this is Insey, how long have you been staying in that stasis tank?"
Minami thinks for a while and says, "I don't know. My life has been a mess. After my birth, I have been beaten by the grunts of Team Rocket and used as some sort of toy, and one day, my father put me in that tank and I don't know what happened."
"From the looks of it, it seems like you're abandoned." Ash says. "And unfortunately, I have a grudge against your father."
"He's not my father anymore." Minami says.
"Looks like we're too peas in a pod." Insey says, "My parents also didn't care anything about me."
"Glad to know I'm not the only one suffering." Minami comments.
"But now that you're safe, why don't you come with us, we'll have our revenge on Team Rocket, especially Giovanni, together?" Ash asks.
"Considering I have nowhere to go, I might as well come with you." Minami says.
"Good, now hold on tight since we're going to board the plane." Ash says as they are teleported on the plane, and like Insey, Ash decides to adopt Minami into the family, and they also let both girls join Team Alpha and get along with the other members.
And here is another chapter, since Pikachu is dead, I'm still going to give Ash a Pikachu, because why not? And this is the Kanto part and we're going in the reverse order from the Sevestar Prince Darker Version when it comes to adopting siblings.
