6. Money

June 24 — 10:00 P.M.

Lying on my bed, I scrolled through Twitter after a long day.

It's almost a month since Jinjin and I last communicated.

I used the money he sent to order an Aroha Fan Kit— the process was easy since I had my besties assist me.

When the girls found out that I'm finally joining, they were ecstatic. Adding to the good news, the package arrived this afternoon.

With the comments I recieved from Arohas on my SNS, I still couldn't end the day with the person who made it all possible.

So here I am, calling him again.

Before I could say anything he beat me to the chase.

"Nina! Saw your post today. Welcome to the fanclub!" He sounded so excited.

I teared up. "Finally, Jinjin! Because of you, I had the best day. Thanks, you don't know how much I appreciate it."

"Hey, are you crying?"

I sniffled. "Those are happy tears, duh. I missed you too."

"Awww that's so sweet. Shucks, now I'm tearing up..." He took a deep breath. "You know, I had a hard time preparing for our comeback, Nina. I must've been away too long."

I took my box of tissues and wiped my tears. "I'm fine. Make sure you get enough rest, don't push yourself too hard. Deadlines for assignments hadn't been easy on me, too. I didn't even have time to text."

Jinjin sighed. "It's been hard on both of us. But I'm happy to hear your voice again. Nina...?"

"Yeah?"

"Someday, when everything gets better...I hope you'll attend our fansign events and concerts live. I want to meet you in person."

I grinned. "When everything gets better, of course I will."

"I'm walking out on the sidewalk right now...the night sky is so pretty, Nina. You should see it."

I scrambled to peek at my bedroom window, stubbing my toe in the process. "Ow, you're right."

"With the skies as our witness, I wish we'll meet soon. I can't wait." Jinjin said.

I nodded. "Me too."

After the call, he sent me a photo. It was him taking a selca, with the night sky above him.

Nina: Thanks for talking with me, it means a lot. You were there when I needed some money... Good night and sweet dreams :)

Jinjin: Sweet dreams. :)
