Disbelief and Blindness

Erm... Just some theological ponderings. If you're going to tell me that all the answers are in The Bible/your church/the aliens that haunt you, just... forget it, OK?

[I hope that I can put this in the Bible section--- I don't mean it as an assault on religion, exactly, it's just that I've noticed that people put all types of spiritual musings in this section. I'm sorry if I offend anyone with this. As always, all constructive reviews are gladly accepted.]

Disbelief and Blindness

I have searched far for truth,

For answers, and

I have not found heralding trumpets

Or plagues of Egypt,

Nor saints on earth

Or divine truth in paper.

I despair, for I have found nothing

But scared children

Whispering comforting chants to ward off death,

And men who hold power they claim belongs to God,

And countless who believe their hearts, and the impossible,

For what their minds create is inconceivable.
