CHAPTER 1
We walk in during a telephone conversation between Lizzie and Miranda.
"Lizzie, What are you talking about?"
"Miranda, It's just like I said - I think that I like Gordo!"
"But Lizzie, you can't! We're best friends and you know I would love to see you happy by getting a boyfriend; but NOT Gordo!"
"Well, why not? I mean, obviously we're compatible enough to be best friends, so why not boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"Lizzie, I can't believe I'm hearing this!"
"I know, I know; I can't believe I'm saying it, but lately, I've felt, I don't know, different around Gordo - just how I feel around Ethan Craft!"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up! Did you say that you're crushing on Gordo just like with Ethan?"
"Yeah, that's what I said."
"Well, I guess if you like him, you like him; but why?"
"I have no clue! Do you think I should ask him to the Valentine's dance?"
"Okay, hold on! You're thinking of asking Gordo to the dance?! Are you crazy?"
"Why?"
"Well, because if you two go out and then break up, do you know how weird it would be on us as friends?"
"Well, yeah, but I think it's worth the risk!"
"'Worth the risk'? Ruining our friendship is 'worth the risk'?"
"Well, yeah."
"Okay, fine. If you want to ruin our friendship over some silly crush, go ahead! Wait... do you think that Gordo likes you?"
"I haven't really thought about it. I don't know. What do you think?"
"Oh, no! I'm not getting mixed up in all this! I'm not going to encourage you to ruin our friendship!"
Animated Lizzie: Why can't she supportive? She's supposed to be telling me to 'Go for it!' and 'If you like him, let him know'. Not, 'You're going to ruin our friendship'!
"Okay, look. I got to go. I'll talk to you tomorrow at school."
"Alright, ciao for now."
