This is a poem from Martin's POV, after his death, telling the goodbeasts of Redwall Abbey in his own words that he is still living in the abbey within each of their hearts, guiding them with his warrior's spirit. Please read and review! ~Sarah

I Still Live On

In body I am no longer alive

Inside our peaceful abbey of Redwall,

But within each one of you, I still thrive

To ensure that your home will never fall.

Scaring vermin in their sleep as they dream,

I come to meet them as a real nightmare,

So they are sleepless, waking with a scream,

Giving them a heavy burden to bear.

And as for you, goodbeast and honest friend,

I will encourage you, walk by your side,

Or give you a dream, a message to send.

I will be there, your guardian and guide.

Though physically I am no longer here,

Do not think that I will ever be gone.

And when evil arises, never fear.

For you, my spirit always will live on.
