Nightmares
Isabel Night

I want to trust Anubis
But I'm afraid of what he can do
It's these stupid nightmares
That won't let me go.
They are vivid in my mind
My father, pulling out a gun to protect me
The bullets, bouncing off the Ogre Armor
My partner, with his weapon, high in the air
The blade, slicing through my father's flesh
The blood spurting everywhere
My father is dead, killed by my partner.
I hear his laughter, "This is the price for keeping her from me," he says,
I wake up from the nightmare
Anubis asks me what's wrong
I avoid his eyes.
Will he kill my father?
I'm too afraid to tell
I look into his blue-green eyes
And pray this nightmare doesn't come true.
