A/N I am so, so, so sorry that I haven't carried on with this story. I have

Chapter 2 The Sorting Hat
The train had just stopped at Hogsmede. Lily, James and their friends had just got of the train and were making their way to a huge man who was calling the first years to follow him. They had to be sat in a boat so only 6 of them could share. So Lily, Miranda, Sarah, James, Sirius and Remus shared a boat because Jesse said she wanted to go with some other girls.
After the boat began to go Sirius began to rock the boat side to side and was soon joined by James. "Stop it! You'll tip the boat." Miranda was unable to complete her sentence because suddenly they were all in the lake. Lily felt something squishy push her back onto the boat. Soon they were all in the boat and where soaked from head to foot.
When they got into Hogwarts they were all amazed at how beautiful it looked. "I am Professor Mgonagal. When I come back you will all be sorted into houses. There are 4 houses Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. The sorting hat will sort you into these houses. How come you 6 are wet?" the stricked looking teacher asked James, Lily and the others. "We went for a swim in the lake." Sirius said cheekily looking at the professor. The professor sighed and waving her wand said, "desiccate" Immediately they were all dry. "Thanks" they all said. Then the professor disappeared into another room.
A few minutes later she came back into the room and said "We're ready for you please follow me" and began to walk into another room 2 by 2the students followed her.
