"Sorry,"
"Sorry, I'm so sorry,"
Anami looked down at what she had bumped into.
"What are you doing on your own?"
"I - I've got to go."
"Are you going back to your parents?"
"No,"
"Why?"
"It's a little awkward, if I told you..."
"If you tell me I promise I won't react badly."
"Why should I tell you?"
"Because the sooner whatever is bothering you is out and sorted, the sooner you can get back to your parents and your pride."
"Why should you care?" The cub's voice sounded low with shame.
"I'm not cold hearted enough to leave you here to die."
The cub sighed. "I was going to be king of my pride -"
"Royalt6y are we?"
"Yesterday morning I was practicing my roar, and it was so loud it caused the wildebeest to stampede."
"Well atleast you're getting good."
"The stampede could have killed me but my father saved me."
Tears fell from his eyes, "my father got me to safety but he fell back into the stampede and..."
!Awww, cub! It wasn't your fault, it was an accident!"
"I'll never be able to go back home."
Anami hugged him as he cried.
"Y'know, I was going to be Queen of my pride once."
"Really?"
"Yep,"
"what happened?"
"I went to see my uncle after my father had showed me the whole kingdom. He told me about an elephant graveyard, I realize he did it on purpose. I took my friend to see it and some hyenas chased us. We came to the edge of a cliff and one of the hyenas knocked my friend over the edge, as he tried to stop. My father then came to the rescue and I ran away when I got home. If I went back I'd probably be blamed of murder. I'll never forgive Scar."
"Scar?"
"That was my uncle."
"What was your friends' mother called?"
"Sarafina, why?"
"Are your parents called Mufasa and Sarabi?"
Anami smiled, hoping she had found a cub from her pride. "That's right, how did you know that?"
"Because so are mine."
Anami's face fell.
"Does that mean you're my sister?"
"Sorry, I'm so sorry,"
