p.s. dude, if u think I own lotr, u r seriously messed up... and I don't own the song "Bring Him Home" itz from "Les Miserables" review!
EDIT—I have reposted this without lyrics due to the rule I was just made aware of that song lyrics aren't allowed to be posted in fics. I will not state my opinion on the matter, because I really would rather not be suspended/kicked off. This seems choppy and dumb without them, so if you would like to view the full version, along with others of my song fics, they can be found at my fanfiction livejournal, which there is a link to in my bio. Thanks )
"I do not fear them," Arwen had said of the Ringwraiths right before she had ridden off with a badly wounded Frodo. He had been stabbed with a Nazgul blade, and the poison was spreading. Left too long, and he would turn into one of them; neither alive, nor really dead.
Aragorn whispered into the wind, "I love you…"
Aragorn had really taken a liking to the little hobbit. He could tell that Frodo was of strong heart, though fatigue was already showing from holding the ring for even the little time that they had been traveling. He guessed that if the Ring had to be taken somewhere, Frodo would almost certainly volunteer for the job.
"Will he die, Mister Strider?" Merry asked, looking like he almost didn't want to hear the answer.
Aragorn looked at him, "I don't know Merry. I just don't know. We can only have hope.."
The party of Aragorn, Merry, Pippin, and Sam was grim and silent as they made their way to Rivendell.
As soon as they got there, they all wanted to instantly go to Frodo's side, but Elrond wouldn't allow it.
"He is not ready for visitors yet," He said. Then seeing the pained looks on their faces, he assured them, "his condition will not worsen between now and then."
That day was very tense for those who knew Frodo. Finally, Gandalf came to the hobbits and told them: "You may come in now."
They started rushing to the room where he was.
Gandalf stopped them and reprimanded, "Quietly!"
They nodded, and walked in, only leaving for meals, which are very important to a hobbit. Sam would have stayed anyway, but Aragorn pulled him away telling him that if he didn't eat soon, he would most likely pass out.
"My father has done well?" Aragorn turned at the sound of Arwen's voice.
"Yes," he nodded, "With luck he will be awake tomorrow morning. And so did you, getting him here quick enough." He pulled her into his arms and kissed her lightly and compassionately.
As they stood there, hoping for the best, fearing the worst, Aragorn thought of all the things that Frodo would probably have to face in the next while. Of all the things that they would go through together. It was right then that Aragorn vowed to himself to protect him, no matter what the cost.
So... how was it? Plz tell me in a review! I'll luv u 4ever!
