Disclaimer: I don't own anything related to Harry Potter and Co. A/N: This is a poem I wrote that is now doubling as an English assignment. Enjoy!

Parties at Bookstores Lines miles long Excitement in air

"Why?" You ask "Why all the fuss?" "It's just a little book!"

But your wrong, you see It's a whole culture yet be The people in line are not in ordinary garb (but for them it might just be the norm) They're wearing cloaks» and robes» and hats».of all sorts Some have glasses And some be sporting scars

These people in line are waiting, waiting. Waiting for the clock to turn twelve o' one They are waiting to find out what happens next. In the seven part series About a raven hair boy and his two best friends Along with all the company he keeps (and some of which he doesn't)

They want to know who the new DADA teacher is (maybe this one will last more than a year) Will Lord Voldemort (shudder) be taken care of once and for all? They hope Padfoot would be freed. and that Wormtail be caught (yippy!) What song will the sorting hat sing? Who will the new Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Slytherins be?

You see this book is about Harry Potter The Boy Who Lived The Youngest Hogwarts Quidditch Player in a Century (seeker at that) The Most Popular Boy in School He doesn't care He would trade all that in an instant To change that fateful night "Which night?" You ask That night in which his parents were killed By evil Lord Voldemort (shudder) with Avada Kedavra But their deaths were not in vain For little Harry lived that night because of their sacrifice.

Harry can't wait 'til he's seventeen and a full-fledged Wizard and goes out into the real world School is surly not to be the best time in his life (not that it should be) Harry waits for better times to come When Lord Voldemort (shudder) is gone for good

The clock shows twelve 'o one ALAS!!!!!!! the wait is over. As each person receives the book they rejoice and start to read

All but one green-eyed young man Some people think he looks familiar But they just don't know from where (it is as if he was an old acquaintance forgotten long ago) He purchases his copy with a reminiscent look upon his face He starts reading and chuckles to himself He knows the true story and -- it was even more exciting
