A Note From Me

I based the story upon the facts that Elizabeth was 20, Darcy was 28, John 24, and Georgiana was 16.

When my teacher told us about the assignment she told us that writing letters between an unmarried man and woman was strongly disapproved of. If caught and if the family wanted to punish he girl, how strong the punishment was, was based upon how long the letter was. So if the letter was 4 pages, it would be based on 4. Such as 4 whippings (if they were that cruel, which I doubt any of them were) or 4 sewing projects to do, whatever. So they would use as few sheets of paper as possible even writing on the envelope! I thought that was pretty interesting and wanted to share that with you. If that was wrong or if someone has extra information regarding this please tell me, I'd be very interested to hear anything you have to say!

Thanks/Responses to Reviews:

Deianeira- Thanks, it really helps to hear that people actually like my writing! You're probably right about Liza, but I figured since he is a servant, he didn't grow up with a 5 star education. Plus, it's a nickname that no one else uses, that's for sure!

Wo Ai Ni16- Thanks! I'm glad you really liked it. I had no idea people might actually read this!

Forest Guardian- I like John too! Romance isn't my favorite, but it seems that romance seems to get in everyone's way. I am more in favor for the best friend for life, rather than the I-got-rejected-and-now-I-am-all-sad- and-we-can-never-be-friends-again scenario. Good friends are for life, lovers come and ago very easily with the least fight, while friends withstand much more, ever notice that?

That is pretty much the end of John Brown unless you guys can come up with other ideas. I'm clean fresh out. Hope you liked the story, again, (you must have if your reading this). I hope you'll read my other story(ies soon hopefully), thanks!

~Kit ;)
