Hey! I just SUDDENLY felt like writing a fic like this. So I guess that explains why I probably wouldn't be continuing it. This is simply to show you readers how lovely a couple Hanamichi and Kaede make… So read on and review afterwards, ne? I'd appreciate it a lot!

Rukawa woke to the sound of piercing silence enveloping the room. Darkness made the atmosphere seem colder than it was, and Rukawa felt… scared for once. He was in the hospital. It was obviously the dead of the night, since the vicinity was as lurid and empty as the silence.
A disease was the cause of his presence here. He had been in the dull hospital for three days. He was diagnosed with cancer. And although he acted calm and inexpressive as usual, there was this great fear inside him. No, not of dying.
He was scared more than anything else… of losing Hanamichi. The only person he loves with all that he is and all that he thought he could ever be. Sakuragi Hanamichi, the only person who seemed to complete his universe by merely living.
But he lost hope, the moment the word 'cancer' escaped the doctor's lips. The doctor had also said that he could fight the disease, but Rukawa couldn't seem to find the strength.
A movement made itself noticed to Rukawa's senses. There was an up and down passage under his head. It was what seemed to be the breathing of…
He looked up to find Hanamichi sleeping serenely, and he himself in the redhead's warm, comforting embrace.
Then suddenly the room wasn't so scary, and the cold wasn't too chilly. You could even find it hale and comforting. Rukawa smiled at the boy, his thoughts starting to linger.
Hanamichi…
How do you do that? How do you change my whole world into something so wonderful… by simply existing? By just being there?
His eyes remained on the slumbered figure as he tried to make out the most alluring features of the latter's face. Rukawa couldn't seem to find the perfect adjective for him. Handsome? Yes, but it wasn't quite right. Beautiful? Well, you see, there's beautiful, and then there's this whole other thing called Sakuragi Hanamichi. Beautiful isn't quite fit to describe the specimen known as such, for he is definitely not merely beautiful. He's so much more.
Always, day in, day out… Whether it be in his sleep or in a heated game of basketball, he goes far beyond Rukawa's very definition of the word: beautiful. So to simply put it, Sakuragi Hanamichi is Sakuragi Hanamichi. Not anything else. He is what he is. And no adjective can ever compare to that.
As he continued to watch Hanamichi, it amazed Rukawa that he has embedded such a great effect on him, without even trying. And what further bewilders him is the fact that Sakuragi Hanamichi, the one person that has made him fall head over heels without the slightest effort, is his.
All his.
With that thought in mind, he hugged his one and only do'aho just a little bit tighter, held him just a little bit closer, and whispered to the sleeping boy's ear "I love you, Sakuragi Hanamichi".
Yes, that seemed right. He needn't any adjective for this. It was simply right to say those words.
Then, the latter, as if hearing it, tightened his embrace on Rukawa. And it was right then and there that Rukawa knew he can never be more sure of that statement.
Maybe…
I'll survive.
For I have found my source of strength…
In you.
I'll fight for you….
My Hanamichi….
