"Ooooooh...there's something I didn't know. Well, time for the next dare, Jou." Anzu said. "Okay. Yami, truth or dare?" Jou asked. "I'll be right back, guys. I'm going to get something to drink. Keep playing without me though." Yuugi said. "Okay, aibou." Yami said. "Well Yami, truth or dare?" Jou asked. "Um.....dare." Jou grinned evilly. "Okay...kiss Mai." "WHA-?!" "You heard me. Kiss Mai, Yami." Jou said, his grin widening. Yami cringed, as did Mai. "F-fine....." With that said, he leaned in and did as he was dared, cringing slightly. And when Yuugi came back into the room, he saw Mai and Yami kissing. He couldn't believe what he saw and then ran away from the scene with Yami calling after him. Anzu sighed. "I wonder what got into him? He should've known it was a dare..." "Yuugi!" Yami ran after his aibou. 'Oh god Yuugi...you should've known it was a dare...'
*later that night...*
Yami sighed from his soul room. Yuugi was asleep now. 'It's my fault he fell asleep crying....' he thought. Just as he was about to come out, wake Yuugi up and tell him it was a dare, he passed out.
Yuugi woke up, cheerful at first, but as memories flooded back, Yuugi lost his cheerfulness. He looked around. He realised he was on some sort of platform. "Aibou...?" a voice came from above him. Yuugi looked up, only to see Yami. He jumped up and backed away. The platform began to rumble. "What the?" Yuugi began moving toward the center of the platform, trying to keep away from the edges that were beginning to break off. Yami did the same. The edges were breaking off so fast Yuugi and Yami had to try not to be hit with a flying peice of rock. Soon all that was left was a little bit of the platform. Yuugi began to lose his balance, as there really wasn't enough room for himself and Yami.
'There's not enough room for both me and Yami to stay on...one of us is going to have to jump off...' 'Maybe I can...' Yuugi knew that it was selfish, but he really didn't want to die. 'Yami...' Yuugi began to fall backwards as he lost his balance. Yami grabbed his hand and pulled him up again, hugging him so neither would fall. 'No, I can't do it...I just can't...' Remembering what he had seen before, Yuugi squirmed a bit in Yami's arms. Feeling a sudden hatred at Yami, Yuugi tried to push Yami away. 'But why shouldn't I? Yami betrayed me...he promised me that he would love me forever...'
Yami lost his balance a bit and stepped back, letting go of Yuugi. Yuugi, having tried so hard to push Yami away, was near the edge and began to fall off. "Yami, one of us is going to have to jump..." Yuugi was tempted to add 'And it's not going to be me', but he wanted to see Yami's reaction first. Yami grabbed Yuugi before he actually fell. "I know..but, aibou......." "Yami, one of us is going to have to jump..." Yuugi was tempted to add 'And it's not going to be me', but he wanted to see Yami's reaction first. Yami tried to hold Yuugi to him once more, but Yuugi squirmed again. "Why won't you let me-" Yami was cut off when Yuugi growled under his breath. "Let...me....GO...." Yuugi growled, trying once more to push Yami away. "Yuugi...if I let you go, one of us is going to fall off..." Yuugi tried agian. He kept trying until Yami was standing at the edge."Yuugi, do you really want me to let go?" Yami asked, dreading the answer. "Yes! Let! Me! GO!" "Are you sure?" "YES!!! Get away from me!!!" "If that's what you really want...aishiteru Yuugi, I always have..." Yami closed his eyes and let go of Yuugi. Yuugi woke up, bolting upright. His eyes welled with tears as he stared at the shattered Puzzle and the tiny peices of his shattered heart.
Hidden in the trees near Yuugi's room, which gave him a full view of Yuugi, a dark figure smirked. 'Perfect...'
