WISHES
Okay I do not own DBZ or any of the characters. Please do not sue me! I am just a broke college student and I need my money for books.
It was a silent and quiet night not a sound could be heard. Everyone was fast asleep in his or her beds all except for one. Gohan just could not fall asleep. He turned on to his side but he still could not fall asleep. He turned onto his back and just stared up at the ceiling. He could hear the sound of Videl rolling over and her contented sigh as she fell back into a deep sleep. He decided that maybe a glass of water would help him hit the hay so he got up out of bed. As he walked down the hallway, he slowed to a stop as he passed Pan's nursery. He decided to check on her so he quietly tiptoed into the room. This was the first time in the three weeks since they had brought her home from the hospital that she had slept the whole night. He did miss getting up and checking on her but he did like the extra sleep. He looked over the bars of the crib at his sleeping daughter. She was so beautiful. He smiled as he watched her suck on her thumb and remembered that Goten did the same thing when he was a baby. He still could not believe that the world was a peace, he was married to Videl, his dad was back home, and most importantly, he was a father. He hoped that this time of peace would last. He did not want Pan to go through all of the things that he had to. He did not want her to have to watch the ones that she loved die right in front of her. He wanted her to grow up and have a normal and happy life. He was quickly stirred out of his wishes by a small whimper from Pan. "Please go back to sleep" he quickly thought. He breathed a sigh of relief when she quieted back down. He quickly and quietly left her nursery and returned to his regular mission. He climbed back into bed and for the first time that night, he felt sleepy. He wrapped an arm around Videl but as soon as he closed his eyes, a cry went out through the house "oh well so much for sleep" he thought "Don't worry Panny, daddy's coming."
