~~~~~&*&*~~~~~
Momiji Fujimiya was on her way to the Higurashi Shrine to see how her new friend, Kagome, was doing. Her newest friend seemed to be extremely susceptible to illness. Momiji had only seen Kagome one out of the six weeks since they had stared to go to the same high school. She was really starting to worry about the other girl's well being. The really strange thing was every time she actually was at school she seemed perfectly fine.
Momiji knocked on the door to the main shrine. A peculiar old man answered. Momiji assumed that he was Kagome's grandfather.
"Is Kagome available? I brought the assignments that she missed," Momiji informed the old man.
"Gomen nasai, young lady but she is still very… sick and cannot see anyone at the moment," he replied. "You can leave her assignments with me if you like."
"All right. I hope that she's feeling better soon," Momiji responded while handing him a list of assignments. "Ja ne."
Momiji proceeded to leave the shrine. She passed the small well house on the property. She suddenly stopped and turned to look at the miniature shrine. She felt some how drawn to it. It was almost the same feeling that she used to get when she could sense the Mitamas of the arigami. Though, this power was more pure. She walked toward the shrine and found it was unlocked. She descended the stairs and peered into the decrepit old well. She could see nothing but black, almost as if it went on forever. She was really starting to get freaked out when she felt a hand touch her shoulder. She whirled around so fast that she lost her footing. She fell backwards into the well. The person behind her had been Kusanagi (this is after the series and they are together). He quickly jumped in after her, catching her in mid-air, and landing in the bottom of the well.
"Well, that was the most adventure we've had in a while," Kusanagi said in feign cheerfulness. Much to their surprise the Mitamas on his hands, chest and feet began to glow and the bottom of the well was dissolving into a range of different colors. It felt as if they were falling, but they could not see the ground. As quickly as it had dissipated the ground reappeared.
"Okay. That was strange." Kusanagi commented.
"That isn't the only thing that's strange. Where did the well house go?" Momiji pointed to the top of the well. Kusanagi followed her finger and instead of seeing the wooden roof of the well house he saw a lovely blue sky. He jumped out of the well with Momiji still in his arms. They were in a forest.
"Kusanagi, you can put me down now."
"What if I don't want to just yet?" He leaned in to kiss her and just as their lips were about to meet they heard a shout from the bushes.
"INUYASHA!!!!!!!! OSUWARI!!!!" A female voice screamed from near by. Kusanagi sighed, defeated and the put Momiji down as a furious young woman emerged from the bushes.
