The One

Chapter One: Peacefulness
"Ahhhh." Kagome sighed, "Peace and relaxation never sounded so
good!" Inu Yasha, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Kiaira were all
limping from the great crater in the ground, the site where Naraku's corpse
lay. The battle was finally over. The Shikon no Tama was finally in one piece.
Everywhere they went the air seemed, peaceful, for the first time in the 2 years
that Kagome spent with Inu Yasha in the Futile War Period.
Looking out of the corner of her eye' Kagome noticed that something
was wrong with Miroku. Puzzled at how he could be troubled at such a
glorious time, Kagome asked "Please, o humble follower of Buddha (*cough
cough*), tell us what's going through your lecherous mind today."
Sango and Shippou tried to stifle their laughter, but Miroku easily
figured out he was being mocked. Hmmm.so wanna play little games huh
Kagome? Just watch what I can do when I'm mocked. "Umm. Kagome,
please tell us, o lover of Inu Yasha, why do you ask?"
Before anyone had a chance to blink, Inu Yasha was on top of Miroku's
head, beating him endlessly, growling "You take that back you bastard!"
With an inward sigh, Kagome muttered, "Inu Yasha."
Oh shit! Here comes 'the word'! thought Inu Yasha franticly.
"SIT!"
(*THUNK*) "@^#*!#*&"
While watching him suffer, Kagome watched a hand wiggle from under
his body. "Hhhheeellllpppp mmmeeeee!!!" yelled Miroku.

Chuckling from his perch in an oak tree, a man watched the group with
an evil smirk on his face. Hmm.and I thought father said they were strong,
and very hard to beat.Well, it looks like this is going to be very easy.

Around sunset, Sango yawned and spoke. "I think it's getting a little
dark out. Maybe we should make camp for the night."
Someone stepped to her side and purred in her ear, "Ooh, is someone
scared of the dark? Maybe I could sleep with you tonight."
Without pausing to see who it was, Sango turned and slapped him with
all her might, which happens to be REALLY hard. Angry, she yelled, "You
perverted monk!!! Can't you stop hitting on me for more that an hour?!?! Or
at least until I get some sleep. ALONE!"
Miroku stood with a handmark pressed into his left cheek. He sulked
away from Sango. Can't she take a joke? And I thought she would react more
to me asking her if she was afraid of the dark! I guess I can't get away with
anything anymore. o well.
The gang decided that under the large cherry blossom tree was the best
place to spend the night. While Inu Yasha went out for firewood, Kagome
searched her pack for the Shikon no Tama, just as a reflex. Feeling its
smoothness in her fingers sent chills up her spine. Usually that means Naraku
is around. but we killed him already. What could this mean?
