(This is from Colin's point of view)
I slip out of my bedroom window, grimacing as the freezing air attacks my bare skin. I somehow make it off the roof and onto the ground without hurting myself or re-breaking my arm. My feet are freezing, only wearing thin socks. I start to run, away from everything. Away from the high expectations and the people that only know the first Colin, not Colin 2. I keep tripping and stumbling, no idea as to where I'm going. I can't think of anything but running away.
I glance at my watch. I have been running for almost an hour, but it has only felt like seconds. I'm not sorry about leaving, but I do regret not saying good-bye to Ephram. He was a better friend than anyone else.
It's snowing now, and I just lost what little feeling I had in my feet. I can't fell anything except the beat of my heart. My legs can't carry me anymore, and I sit down on the empty, lonely road, wondering what will happen next.
