The alternate ending of Lord Of The Rings.
After the great battle for middle earth the fellowship had been defeated. Gandalf the grey, who had been demoted from gandalf the white due to his failure, had prepared for his defeat. He had found the six caves of the world, named the six caves of freedom. One of the caves, called the cave of Longay, was the biggest cave where the fellowship would be spending most their time. He sent all the surviving women, children, horses and soldiers to these caves, which were invisible to the evil eye. However if any person should leave this cave causing too much movement the evil eye would pick up on it and their safe haven would be revealed. Frodo feeling it was his fault that defeat was upon them had become with drawn from the others, he had failed in destroying the ring but he had helped in some way that gave middle earth their advantage. He had rid the ring of 90% of its power; this did not enable them to be completely defeated. This power, which was lost to the ring, could be returned as long as the one who rid the ring of its power was used as an offering to the evil world, this would return all power to the ring. Legolass and Aragon had been working day and night to try and build an army worthy of battle. Legolass was trying to think of a strategy to use to their advantage to win the battle that would decide how they went about it. Gandalf was also working hard to protect the remaining population, the battle for middle earth had ended but the battle for their freedom was just beginning.
