Another blurry Monday morning in the crowded halls of high school.
Everything seemed so blah today. Just like it did last week, and the week
before that. Nothing matters anymore. Just another day in the life of the
fabulous, and not to mention, beautiful, Kate Sanders. Nobody could
possible understand what she's going through. She's in trouble and has
nobody to turn to. She can't talk to Ethan, or Claire or any of the girls
on her squad. Not even her parents. Everyone's too busy not caring about
anything but themselves or getting high. Nice life she made for herself.
Not that she wasn't happy with the ultra- popular version of herself; its
just that sometimes she wishes she could go backwards a little bit. The old
her would go find Lizzie and Miranda and talk this whole mess out. That's
what she gave up to be here. Dressed up like Barbie so she can impress
people who don't even matter. But that's what she wanted right? All eyes on
her.
Now she can't even talk to the only people who might actually care about her problems because they don't live up to the cheerleader coolness standards. Was it really worth it? Giving up what she had for all these distant, narcissistic friends. People who are far too wrapped up in themselves to worry about anything else. Face it Kate, your life is the suck. Look at who you've become. She thought to herself as she dabbed shiny gloss over her lips, while looking at her freshly made-up face in her locker mirrior. "So then I'm like all, listen why don't you just go back to your little place in payless and stop taking up your space. stop pretending.." God, Claire can go on and on about nothing. When you are going through what Kate is, you realize all this highschool crap just doesn't mean anything anymore. "Uh huh." Kate said trying not to sound as bored as she really was. Honestly, she had no idea what her friend was even talking about. The latest gossip about somebody I'm sure. She's hardly been listening to anybody's stories lately. She had bigger things to worry about then what whoever wore to whoever's party on whatever day. "Yeah. Freaky." Claire nodded. "Totally. I don't get why they let people like, that weird in there." Suddenly Kate's cheerleader friend's mouth dropped to the floor and then out came a distinct "ugh" noise. Kate followed Claire's glare until they were both staring at Lizze and Miranda, who were walking up the hallway. Apparently she and Claire disgusted by Miranda's outfit. It was a yellow mini- skirt thing with a hot pink tee. Clearly off the rack. Kate really couldn't have cared less, but that didn't stop her (and Claire) from waltzing up to her and Lizzie and getting in a few rude remarks before the homeroom bell rang.
DISCLAIMER: I do not own or have anything to do with the making of 'Lizzie McGuire.' I am only a fan who likes to make up stories about characters that Disney or whoever created.
