SWEET HOME - part one:
Jen rushed in the house tired and worried, and she ran into the kitchen where her grandmother was slicing some tomatoes.
Grams looked at Jen in disapproval, and without looking at the clock in the wall, she said.
"You're late."
Jen, guilty, looked at the time, and lowered her head, walking to Grams, and kissing her cheek.
"Grams, I'm sorry I- lost track of the time, I swear" she said taking her coat out and walking to the hall. "But leave the tomatoes, I'll slice them for ya"
Grams smiled.
"No need, dear, I knew you would be late, so I started early"
Jen hung her coat by the door, and with a face she turned around. With her hands on the hips, and walking towards her Grams, she said
"You knew I was gonna be late"
"Yes"
"Grams, I am probably the most punctual girl my age that I know. I'm more punctual than Jack"
Grams smiled again.
"Jennifer, dear, you are, indeed, very punctual, but I've been announcing this dinner for so long. I imagined that something would happen"
Jen sighed and again she approached her grandmother.
"Oh, Grams, I'm so, really sorry" She wrapped her arms around her while she prepared the food "I swear, for everything that I love, that the next dinner with your church pals, I wont leave this house until every little tomato is sliced."
Grams chuckled drying her hands.
"Don't be silly, Jennifer. Go upstairs and check on your friend"
Jen walked out again. "All right".
"Oh, and Jennifer?"
Jen turned around
"Yeah?"
"Your hair looks beautiful" She said with a gentle smile.
Jen smiled too
"Have I told you you're the best?"
Jack had just put a t-shirt on. He was checking himself out in the mirror when Jen knocked the door and came in.
"Hey, pumpkin" She said closing the door behind her.
"You're late" He replied with a silly smile.
"I've heard" She said sitting on the bed.
"You know, Grams' warned us about this dinner, she's mentioned it yesterday, the day before that, and last week, honestly, I didn't think I'd hear about any other thing."
Jen thought for a second.
"Do you think there's a man involved?"
Jack made a weird face
"I don't really think you should be thinking about this when you should probably get dressed, Jen"
Jen sighed getting up.
"I'm gonna see if she needs something from the grocery shop first"
Jack smiled, while Jen left the room.
Jen ran her hand through her hair, going down the stairs.
"Grams, do you need something from the market?" She got her jacked by the door. "Grams" She repeated "I asked if you need something else". Putting her jacket on and walking to the kitchen, she made a weird face. "Grams?"
Upstairs, jack put on a pair of shoes and looked at himself in the mirror again. He smiled to himself, proud of being so pretty. Jack was a cute homo, he was sure of that.
But breaking the silence that he usually liked in his room, he heard Jen scream something to grams from downstairs. He opened the door and looked downstairs.
Jen appeared on the bottom of the stairs, she looked as if she had seen a ghost, and she was crying, trying to call him. She looked at him, terrified.
"JACK!"
