Consequences

Squidward opened his eyes. He looked around to see that that irritating noise is his alarm clock. His arm flew and turned off the alarm. He slept for another five minutes, and finally pulled off the covers.

He thought rude thoughts about his neighbors and co-workers, and walked to his closet to go thought the grueling task of choosing a shirt. He ended up choosing a brown one, how original.

At the Krusty Krab, he sulked over to the little boat thing (the cash register) and waited for someone to hand him some money.

Finally, when it was time to go home, Squidward gave a sigh of relief, and headed for the door, but Mr. Krabs stopped him.

"Oh, Squidward, you have to do this little thing for me," He said, holding out an arm in front of him.

"What?" Squidward Groaned.

"See, I'm having this trouble with the little yellow guy, see, he's been acting really weird lately. I want you to find what's wrong with him, okay?

"Fine!" Squidward said, and headed over to the kitchen.

As he walked in, Squidward saw Spongebob crawling on the floor like a worm.

"Get up, that's not sanitary!" Squidward yelled, and Spongebob jumped.

"Oh, hi, Squidward, do you have the package?" He asked.

`What package?` Squidward asked himself. He smiled, realizing what the package was.

A couple days ago, Spongebob asked Squidward for some balloons, so Squidward smiled and said, "Sure, I'll order a shipment tonight!"

Squidward never ordered any balloons, but he did get a strange letter in the mail. But He never opened it, he just put it on the counter.

"Squidward?" Spongebob asked.

"What?" Squidward asked stupidly. "Oh! Mr. Krabs wanted me to ask you why you were acting so weird lately."

"What do you mean?" Spongebob asked, closing one eye.

"I don't know, he's the one who asked to have the chat with you."

"Well, I don't know what you're talking about." Spongebob said, matter-of- factly.

"Hmmm..." Squidward said as he left.

On the way home, he made up a very cruel song about his two neighbors.

"Jingle bells, Spongebob Smells, Patrick star is gay," Squidward sang, but that's as far as he got. As he walked into the front door, he saw the letter on the kitchen counter. A few seconds later, his curiosity got the better of him, and he ripped open the parcel.

It actually was a letter to him. It read:

"Squidward,

You have one week to give us what you promised us. Meet us at the corner of Clam & Conch, on Friday a sundown. Come alone, and do not bring any police, or there will be severe consequences."

This confused Squidward. `What did I promise these people?` he asked himself.

He spent the rest of the day thinking about it, and finally decided to go to the meeting place, and ask them what they were talking about.

~~~ Friday...
It was time. Squidward put on his brown jacket, and walked over to the intersection of Clam & Conch. He saw a group of three people, and realized they were waiting for him.
He walked over to them, and felt the tip of a pistol to his head.
"So, you actually fell for it?" One of them asked.
