As Jonas looked around, searching for the source of the music, he could feel a deep sleep coming over him. He fought to keep his eyes open for he knew that if he did fall asleep he would never wake up. He looked to see if Gabe was still there, he wasn't for Gabe had already gone to the place above. Tears ran down Jonas cheeks and froze to his face. He lied down in the snow and closed his eyes, he dreamt of the world without the sameness. The world still being how it should. In his dreams his saw the Giver telling him that he did his best, and that he was sorry for putting Jonas threw this horrid event. As Jonas faded away up above his and Gabe's carcass were engulfed in a snowy grave.
