Trapped
Rumbling…
The garage door closes
The car disappears down the dark, gray road
I sit
On my bed
Sunlight streams through the windows
Shouting at me to go out
And enjoy it
Nature
But I do not
A book is clutched in my hands
A book with a picture of a man
With golden, hourglass eyes
And silver-blonde hair
Imprinted on the cover
I am mesmerized
…entranced…
Breathing…
the eternal darkness…
of one man's soul…
of one mage's soul…
My spirit escapes
This prison of flesh and bone
Entering a realm of darkness
Evil reigns…
But it is sweet
Like honeyed wine
Enticing
Addictive
I must have more
The page ends
White
Blankness
No more words
I come back
My soul once again enters
The walls of flesh
…my prison…
I am trapped.
