Dancing In the Snow
Hello. My name is Duo Maxwell. I'm a 16 year old killer or better yet I'm a Gundam pilot. It's the middle of December and it's snowing outside my current safe house. The snow is one of the most beautiful things on the Earth, that and my partner Heero Yuy. He was clueless about my feelings towards him, but that doesn't bother me much. What bothers me is the fact that he doesn't seem to feel anything. Damn Dr. J and his teachings, but I can't do anything about it. I'll just admire Heero from afar. Which is exactally what I'm going. I'm standing in the cold outside, watching Heero through a window. He's on his damn lap top again. Probably talking to Dr. J…. or Relena. Probably. Oh well, I came out here to have fun and I will. So….I start dancing in the snow. Silly? I don't care.
"What are you doing," Heero asks, making me stop and stare at my snow covered boots. "Dancing," I chuckle. That sounded stupid even to me. "Why," Heero asks in a gental tone. "I don't know." No way am I telling him I was pretending to dance with him. I'm not suicidal. Well not today anyway. "It's cold out here. You should come in," Heero says. "You can actually tell?" Ok maybe I am feeling suicidal. "I can feel Duo," Heero sighs. "Coulda fooled me," I say picking up a handful of snow. "Duo…J didn't train all of my feelings out. I do feel…for you," Heero whispered. "You feel…for me," I asked droping my snowball. "I…hai," Heero said lowering his head. I walked over to him and cupped his cheek with my hand. "Don't lie to me Heero," I say. He raises his eyes to meet mine. "I'm not lying," Heero says. I just smile at him and run my fingers through his hair. I mean what can you say to something like that. "Duo I…can I kiss you," Heero asks with a blush. He's cute that way. "Please," I answer as his lips meet mine.
The kiss was short, but sweet. We're both new at this and it'll take time before we do any more.
"Dance with me," I whisper in Heero's ear. He just smiles and takes my hands, and we are soon spinning around under the falling snow. Yes…things will take time, but right now…we can both dance in the snow.
