(Chapter One - Unus)
"Yugi, I'm sorry, but I cannot stay here any longer."
"Yami, wait! Please don't go!"
"Goodbye Yugi," his voice echoed into the shadows.
Then Yugi's friends Tea, Joey, Tristan, and Ryou surrounded him. "Thank goodness you're here!" Yugi said.
"Don't worry about us being here," Ryou said, "Because we don't need to be here any longer."
"What?"
"You heard him right," Tristan said, "You don't need us here."
"B-b-but," Yugi said, "After all we've been through, you're all going to leave me, too?"
"It is our destiny," Tea said, and they all vanished.
"NO!" Yugi screamed, "Please wait!" but it was too late.
"Yugi," came a voice from behind him.
"Kaiba?" Yugi asked.
"That's right," Kaiba said, "And I'm here for revenge."
"R-revenge?" Yugi asked.
Suddenly, Kaiba hit him in the face and Yugi fell down, down, down.
Then, Mokuba appeared. "Mokuba!" Yugi called out to him, "Please stop your brother! Please!"
Mokuba laughed and then said, "Come on Seto, we have to go now."
Kaiba nodded and they both dissappeared. "STOP!" Yugi yelled.
What was going on? Then, he heard a voice. it sounded lke someone singing. He listened harder and could just make out the words.
"Don't fall from me
Don't call to me
Because I won't help.
"Don't die for me
Don't lie to me
Because I can't save you now."
"Hello?" Yugi called out. The singing stopped. Yugi turned around and was suprised to see a tall girl with crystal blue hair, and a red dress on standing in front of him.
"Who are you, and where are my friends?" Yugi asked.
The girl laughed evily. "I am Rulue, guradian of the underworld, and your friends will never see the light again."
Yugi was near tears as she started singing and then walked away.
"Wait!" Yugi called and ran after her, "Please, bring my friends back!"
"Bring them back?" Rulue asked with a grin, "Yugi, how do you suppose I bring them back?"
Yugi gulped, "You know my name," he said.
"Obviously," Rulue said, "I know everyone's name. As I said before, I am the guardian of the underworld,"
She vanished into thin air, and Yugi was left all alone.
"Yugi? Yugi?" Yugi jumped up and saw his grandpa looking at him, "Are you all right?"
'It was all a dream' Yugi thought, "Yeah Grandpa, I'm all right."
"Good, now hurry and get dressed for school, or you'll be late!
