As Harry, Ron, and Hermione sit together in the library Lavender burst through the door. "There's going to be a Christmas ball this weekend!" Lavender squealed. Ron looked at Lavender and blushed slightly. Harry and Hermione were the only people who knew of Ron fancy for Lavender. Hermione took the ball's flyer from Lavender and her draw dropped. "What is it Hermione?" Harry asked looking at her. "The.the ball is a Sadie Hawkins." Hermione stuttered. "Who are you going to ask?" Ron asked Lavender somewhat calmly. "Well I'm not quite sure." Lavender stated. Harry looked at Hermione. "What about you Hermione? Who are you going to ask to the ball?" Harry asked. "I don't know if I'm going to attend the ball." Hermione said without explanation" "Why not Hermione" Harry asked disappointedly. "I don't think anyone would want to go with me." Hermione stated simply. At this Ron snorted knowing that Harry had a crush even though Harry didn't. "Why did you snort?" Hermione asked suspiciously. "Well, I think I know a guy that would go with you in a hart beat."
