Hello all! Here's a poem I wrote for the poetry contest on Neopets. And it didn't win :( Gee, I wonder why? Maybe their policy of quietly eliminating everything relating to homosexuality had something to do with it. Anyway, I'm not bitter. Because it's on Aqua's homepage. Another perspective (Aqua's desire)

Beauty and sweetness
And shadow combined,
Endlessly hovering
Over my mind.
Come to me, darling,
And I promise true
For all of my lifetime
I will love you.
Caress me with darkness,
I'll show you the light.
Tell me what's wrong,
I'll make it all right.
Give me a moment,
I'll give you my life.
Give me the chance,
I'll be your dear wife.
Everyone fears you,
But it's you I adore.
They all see a monster,
But I see more.
A woman of substance,
More than shadow and rage,
Character that's vibrant,
Not flat like a page.
There's more to you
Than any can know.
Perhaps they need proof,
And it's I who can show.
And one day when they see you,
Held up from the dark,
Then we may hold hands
And kiss in the park.
But until that day,
I must whimper and pine,
And dream my sweet dream,
Of when you will be mine.
Dearest Shadow Usul,
Hear my plea:
Leave the darkness,
And live with me.
