Walk Like A Man, Talk Like The Truth
"I needed some time, to work out where we are," Carter said, looking pointedly at her.
Abby smiled shyly. "Well, here we are." She looked towards the door, and then grinned at him. "So, are you coming in?" He laughed, stepping closer to her.
"Not until I've done this." He kissed her, gently yet lovingly. "Come on then."

"Here you go," Abby said as she handed Carter a mug of coffee, and sat down next to him on the sofa with her own.
"Thanks," He took a sip, and put his arm around Abby's shoulders, pulling her closer. "I'm sorry I deserted you earlier Abby."
"Let's not talk about that," she told him, kissing him lightly on the cheek. "If we dwell on the bad things then we're, like, one of the worst couples ever." She sighed.
"But if you look at the good stuff then we're one of the best couples ever." He grinned. "How does that sound?"
"Good," she laughed. "If it was true."
"Do you not trust me, Abigail Lockhart?" He cleared his throat, before putting on an awful; attempt at a female voice. "Tell me we're going to be okay," he mimicked.
"Hey!" Abby hit his arm. "That was an important moment!"
"My point exactly." He laughed as Abby punched his arm once more.
"You are crazy, Dr. Carter." She moved up closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. They sat together in a comfortable silence.
"I love you Abby," Carter said after a while, kissing the top of her head.
She stared up at him. "I never heard anyone say that to me and sound like they meant it, before."
"I mean it. I love you." She grinned at him as he fiddled with a strand of her hair, whilst still looking directly at her.
"I love you too."
