Just being me:
Trance just sat there listening to the sound of her own breathing it sounded so strange to her, strange jet comforting. She moved her hand up to her hair and felt the braids. When she put them in they were a necessity, she didn't have the time to do all the little fiddly things she used to do with her hair.
I am different now; the things that used to define me as a person are gone. My hair is not is pretty as it once was, my skin has changed to a golden colour and is still changing. It is not something that I did purpose, its just not something I can control.
They will never understand she thought quietly to herself.
They had all grown to accept the 'new me' although Harper took the longest although I don't blame him. Out of everybody on this ship he is the one I had the deepest bond with. When I watched him die part of me died with him. I still have nightmares. I can see those little parasites ripping their way out of him. I've seen them all die or worse. Tyr being decapitated, Andromeda and Dylan exploding while me and beka watched aboard the maru. They worst though was beka and Rev. I did my best to fix beka but I did it for selfish reasons. Rev however survided but it would have been kinder if he had, he was driven insane courtesy of the sprit of the abyss.
I care about them all a great deal even Tyr, you see they are all vital. Not just to me but to the perfect possible future. But Harper it's different I think I love him.

Trance got up and walked out of hydrophonics and walked up to the mess where she was going to meet Harper.
"Hay Trance my lovely golden goddess" said Harper as he met her on the way.
"Hay Harper" replied trance.
Trance looked down at harpers hand. It was bleeding.
Noticing her glance Harper said "I caught it on one of the tools, what are you doing?" he asked when she reached for his hand to look at the damage he had done.
"Just being me"
Hi everyone, this is one of my first stories that I wrote 3 years ago and noticed that it was completely riddled with spelling mistakes as at the time I did not have a computer with spell check. So here it is with hopefully all mistakes corrected and I few alterations to help it flow better.
