This is a poem I wrote, and I decided to incorporate it into a Harry Potter
fanfic. Please enjoy!
I do not own anything Harry Potter. I merely own the poem *~*~*~*~*~*~*
Voldemort had risen. Everyone knew it was going to happen, but who could be prepared? The Weasley's had been attacked recently, with Lucius Malfoy leading the way. Several of the Weasley's were able to escape, but Mrs. Weasley, Bill, and Ginny had not been so lucky. They, along with the whole of the burrow, had been completely destroyed.
*Cry for the loss of your mother, your brother Oh, Cry for the loss of your little dear sister
And Cry for the loss of your sweet one and only
Please, Cry for the loss of everything good.*
Nobody expected it would happen this soon. But, He-who-must-not-be-named never did what was expected of him, except to kill. Ron stared on at the expanse of land where his home had once been. There was nothing left but a hole in the ground. Harry put his hand on his best friend's shoulder.
"Come on, Ron," he said, but Ron ignored him. "No use staying here, Ron. We need to fight this injustice!" Ron just stared at the land. "There is nothing left, buddy. Let's go." Ron looked up, teary eyed, and nodded.
*What you love has been taken away from you
The horrors foretold of came a year too soon
There is nothing left here that is worth to retrieve
Before you drown, too, at least try and save yourself*
The Resistance fought a great fight. Ron, and Harry, of course, were among the auror's in the Great Battle. Snape had fully declared his loyalty to Dumbledore for everyone, including the Death Eaters, to know. He fought bravely along side many: Minerva, Albus, and other professors. Mr. Weasley, Charlie, Fred, and George. Moody, Arabella Figg, Black and Lupin. Fudge and many other Ministry officials had been killed at the beginning of the fight. Hermione and Poppy Pomfrey healed those injured in battle, and held the hands of those for whom they could do nothing.
I hate to say it, but as strong as the Resistance was, Voldemort had gained many followers, out of both loyalty and fear. This may not be what you want to hear, but the Resistance fell. The fighters we weak and weary, but ever brave.
*Learn to swim, learn to fly, learn to breath underwater
The knowledge will grant you the sweet life again
As long as you want you can try to tread water
Monsters swimming underfoot will sure bring you down with them
Learn to fight, learn to live, learn to keep them away from you
The knowledge will keep you alive one day longer
As long as you want you can try to swim to the shore
Weak and weary bones have never made it very far*
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"You will serve me!"
"Never!" "I'd rather die!" The Weasley twins proclaimed fiercely.
"And so you shall!"
The flash of green light was the last of Fred and George
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"I was not made to be a prisoner," growled Severus. He had fought of Imperious and had been subject to Cruciatus curse many times. He had watch many friends die at the hands of Voldemort. It was very odd how Voldemort decided to kill Severus though.
"Obliviate!"
Heavy rocks were anchored to his limbs. Voldemort brought him to a cliff and watched with pleasure as Crabbe and Goyle tossed the man over the edge. Unconscious and wandless, Severus Snape drowned, forever imprisoned in a watery tomb.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
No clue what possessed me. Strange story, I know. Please review!
