Matthew 7:17-20
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
~~~~~~~~~~
There's a cute boy over there
brown hair and freckles
in ragged overalls, hazel eyes
the reciprocal of his symbol
he tends a great orchard, all by himself
but to him it is no trouble at all
he does not interfere except to take.
juicy apples, lush figs and grapes
every fruit in every variety grows there
but only the rain waters them
onlu the sun shines apon them
that boy is only and merely a harvester.
some fruit have different molds,
caught from the wind or contact.
not inherently bad, do not sweeten or tarten
simply exist apon them.
And every moment of every hour
that boy goes gathering
with a gentle hand picks up the windfalls
randomly plucks fruit from the trees
ripe or unripe
good or bad
regardless of molds
and he brings them all to the orchard's owner
who reaps what he but planted, never cared for.
in this barrel the pretty boy brings
the oranges, pomegranates, durians
ripe and unripe, sweet and sour
putrid and whole
the master takes those few fruit
with a certain mold, and casts a spell
making them into crystals, mindlessly shining
and he likes to hear them chime in the wind
tones pure and unsullied by any kind of passion
any kind or hint of life or freedom
he casts another hex on all the rest
young and old, whole and damaged
a spell of immutability of form
and he casts them into his brick oven
to bake and bake and bake forever
but never cook.
their very atoms ache,
but he will never take them out.
That's just a story I heard, though.
-A/N- If you have NO idea what the heck this was about, I've included an explanation of the symbolism. I trust the intelligence of most of the people here, but some loser flamer might come along and at least now he has no excuse, right? The translation is the next chapter.
