AN: Lyrics bye Saliva, poem by Jewel.
I don't own any of the cast or characters, if I did, I wouldn't be sitting
on my butt writing this now would I? ;]
R&R please, tell me if I should go on or not.
Maria looked at herself in the mirror, "Hmm. hair up or down?" she asked her reflection. It was her first day back in Roswell after a year living with her cousin in Los Angeles; of course she had no idea what she was in for being back in Roswell. She was excited about seeing her old best friends Liz and Alex, and had heard about Liz's boyfriend Max Evans from Alex, and was happy for her. She decided on wearing her long blonde hair out. She put on one of her favorite CD's, as she put on her blue low rider jeans and light blue tank top.
Something's wrong with me
'Cause I can't even feel you now
Or know that this is real.
Am I blind to see that there's something there behind your eyes
And it's bringing me to my knees.
All I want is you and I don't care
All I want is you and I don't care
Cause all I do is wait in, wondering and hoping, that we'll survive it.
I know that all this is true.
All because of you.
Something's wrong with you,
The walls you build around you now,
Seem to fit you like a glove.
Something's wrong with you,
Cause stars cannot be found in clouds that cover up their love.
Cause all I do is wait in, wondering and hoping, that we'll survive it.
I know that all this is true.
All because of you.
She brushed her hair again, letting it fall on her shoulders as she sang along with the song. She put on her boots as another song blasted out of her speakers.
Burn Her eyes without hope of Understanding them
Kiss Her mouth, That you may fathom its strange tongue
Indulge In her brown skin because It reminds you of Mother
Rape Her mind Because it is not your own But so sweet So familiar
Like coming home. To a native land Your pale and inbred hands Can only faintly fathom.
She jumped out of her chair and turned her stereo off; grabbing her keys she walked out the door and to her mother's car, heading towards the crashdown. ~*~*~*~*~* She walked into the Crashdown a few minutes later, taking a deep breathe she walked up to the counter and sat down. "Oh my god! Maria!" Liz cried running up to her friend and bringing her into a bear hug. "Haha, hey Liz." Maria smiled. They hugged for what seemed like forever when the cook called out to Liz telling her that an order was up. "Ugh, Michael hang on. Can't you see I'm saying hello to an old friend?!" Liz almost yelled at Michael Guerin. "Yeah yeah." Liz glared at Michael then turned around and smiled at Maria. "Maria, how was L.A.? Meet anyone special? What did you do?" Oh great, here come the twenty questions, Maria thought to herself. "Um, Liz L.A. was awesome, no I didn't meet anyone special and I done the usual stuff. Listen, you have to get back to work, don't let me keep you. I might just go sit in a booth and have some breakfast," she looked at her watch, "ok, lunch and when you finish why don't we go somewhere, like say to this Max's place so I can meet him." She smirked, Liz had no idea that Maria knew about Max and her, or what Maria knew about Max. Liz beamed at the idea, "Okay, you sit down in a booth, I'll get you something to eat and drink, on the house, no arguing. And when I've finished my shift, we'll go and see Max."
